Mary, Thank you for being faithful to post here. I have it handwritten in my medi journal and will post the days I've missed later, after Easter! But reading and knowing I'd be accountable to you has been such a big blessing. I thank you SO much!

I'm on DAY 1! I found you all b/c I was trying to figure out how much I can exercise. My center said a little would be ok but that people loose faster if they don't exercise at all? She said b/c they eat more. I think I'd go NUTS! I crossfit and I run 10-20 miles per wk. Can I run 3 miles a day at least you think? does it slow you guys down?
Today Day one I ate: Protein Shake Medi's - 100 cal / 2 carb 3 Laughing cow's on Bran Crisp Fiber Crackers - 119/9 2 hebrew national hotdogs- 80/6 4 egg whites - 180/4 celery No exercise b/c my center thought that would impede weight loss??? |

well, it's not really a "CRACKER" lol!! it's High Fiber Snack for low carb diets F Factor Diet, Thin Commandments, Fat to Skinny - GG Bran Crispbread aka Scan Bran. - kinda like those miracle noodles - each "cracker" has 7 carbs 5 of which are fiber.

After that first week I say go back to running or whatever you feel comfortable with. Listen to your body. Exercise may slow things down a tiny bit (I personally don't know because I exercised the whole time), but it will help you out in the long run. I am in maintance now and I can honestly say that one of the reason I have not gained my weight back is because I am a runner. I run no less than 10 miles a week.

Lins, What a sweetheart you are! Thank you, friend! I love how you write that you do no less than 10 miles per week too. Perhaps I should set that kind of goal and DO it...whether it's exercise INSIDE or OUTSIDE, on my bike or jogging. I know that made a huge difference for me last Spring/Summer. And no, I'm not in ketosis right now. I think it will be hard for me to commit to week one this week as I'll be having company and then traveling with them to Texas, in motels and moving them into a new place. But yes, I could choose to make some good choices rather than regain my 4 lbs!
Hope you have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Lea and Lins,
I too have a fridge full of strawberries, grapes, oranges, apples, and dried fruit. Oldest DD is coming to town on Thurs, Jun 2nd, then I go with her to Tx to move her into a new place for her new job. So, I'll be coming back home on Sun and will start week one on Monday, June 6th. Hold me to it! Between now and then I'll try to avoid emotional eating [huge commitment!] and not try to lose but make pretty good choices. I've been riding my bike. 2 miles yesterday, 2 miles today. |

Mary, So interested in getting recipes! Such as your coconut oil "bark" w/ cocoa, etc., and for your homemade coffee popsicle! How fun!! I started week one again today. I plan to be very strict this first week so I can get off the 5 lbs I gained just last week while oldest DD and fiance were here and when we down to Austin....ate out lots since they were just moving and getting set up, so they didn't get to grocery shop til yesterday after we left. |

I got the recipe for the "bark" from the main LCF recipe boards. Since it isn't REALLY for Mediweightloss I won't post it on our recipe board. But here it is. 3 T coconut oil 2 T cocoa powder (I used regular old Hersheys) 1 Packet of Splenda, or to taste....I probably added more Pinch of salt. Mix all together, and put in microwave for 30 seconds then pour 1 Tablespoon into mini cupcake papers, and I added an almond to each one. Put in the freezer.....I'm not doing very well counting calories right now, but I've only been eating one or two a day. I also added about a tablespoon of peanut butter to one batch B-Coffee, 1 real egg, laughing cow cheese L-4 slices deli turkey rolled up in lettuce leaves D-Chicken, Okra I'm really stiff and a little sore from all of my new exercises yesterday! |
