Thank you Fit2010 and Gemini! I was thinking the same thing about replenishing my calories after exercises. It would be more like a maintenance.

Guess I will call clinic, but I asked the nurse twice and she said do not get below the 500 calories/protein. If I exercise (vacuuming 30 min. 127.2 calories burnt) that is what is on my calories burned list. I need to take the 500 calories and add 127.2 needing 627.2 calories for the day. Why can't the clinics be on the same page so I might could get some help.

Thank you for trying to help, just little frustrated and so confused.

I was on my way to the gym when I was called to work. I normally don't work weekends unless there's a production issue and I'm on call, ugh by the time I finish the gym was closed. Really wish they would stay open later on the weekends.

OK, so here are my plans: Bill and I have agreed to go back to week 1 for probably 3 days.....maybe 4. Bill has never shown he's in ketosis (but it was explained to us that for some people ketosis never shows up on the ketosticks) He will check again (probably Thursday) to see if his big weightloss has made a difference on the ketosticks. ANYWAY we're back to weighing, measuring, and writing everything down.

So far today on top of that, we both walked 5.25 miles, and have started taking hoodia as an AS, and will take Mega Green Tea (starting tomorrow) as the fat burner. I've gone back to 500 protein calories/day, and Bill has gone back to 600 - 800 protein calories/day. I know we've both been doing more calories than that since around Christmas.....it's time to get busy and lose the rest of this weight, so we can move on! We both want/need to lose about 25+ pounds so we will be at a healthier BMI

Charlene, I agree...you look HOT! I'm impressed, one inch on your waist in one week! And you've already been a diligent exerciser.

Here's my day:
B - 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein w/ 8 oz choc almond milk + water and ice (still too rich!)
S - a celery stalk with Laughing Cow cheese wedge
L - another celery stalk with rest of the cheese wedge, chicken, 1/2 cup of coworkers bean soup she brought for potluck and 1 1/2 diameter pc of cornbread (I shouldn't have eaten the cornbread, not a fan
S - 1/2 cup of semisweet chocholate chips, 8 grapes, at least 12 triscuits (can you tell I was hungry? emotional?)
D - curry dinner with chicken and chickpeas
S - chocolate candy thing I made (I think I'm sick now....it was supposed to be healthy from a diet book....but in combo with the above two listings in the past 5 hours I feel icky! WHY or WHY? (Because I'd gotten on the scales this AM at home and had dropped 5 lbs in previous 48 hours....I'm SO smart! LOL!! )
E - none

I know...i don't want to sound stuck up but I honestly didn't think my waist was gonna get any smaller, ever...I was hoping for more results on the hips and thighs but it's only been a week and a half. I have toned up the backs of my thighs a lot already and that's awesome! Thank you guys for the compliments, it means a lot. Even though I have been up and down in weight and off and on with fitness throughout my life, I'm really thankful for this board because it helps to be able to share successes with people who understand and can appreciate positive changes. I just wish I had more time to read and write on here lately.

I spent the day at the hospital, the cafe had closed and my mom brought us food, chinesse food! She was upset I wasn't eating to the point that she started crying. I guess it was a combination of all the emotions. So I gave in and had the above for dinner which was close to 600 calories and 100 carbs!!!

Good for you! 148 is GREAT! I'm still hovering at 153-154 I'm telling myself that it's added muscle, but I WANT that stupid scale to MOVE

So, I am back...let's see if I can hang on this ride.

FIT, TYDREAM!!!
Wow you gals look freaking AWESOME! It worked for all of you and you are still here and I am so impressed. When I plateaued last year (twice), I gave up and gained it all back, and then some (hanging my head in shame)
.....so I am on day 2...have to start completely over. It has been a tough year, but I am scraping myself off the pavement and trudging on.

Soooo... I am back. I am not as enthusiastic this go round. I am hoping that reading your posts daily and watching you maintain your goals will keep me grounded.

So glad to see you gals are still here!

==========================
So far today:

B- eggwhites & fajita meat
water
L- rst bf & chz
tea

planning on crockpot roast and greens for dinner
and lots more water

Hi Christy -
It's been a l-o-n-g time....we missed you when you left! Yes, being on THIS side of the MWL journey is wonderful. I know what to do....maintenance though is harder than I thought. Adding carbs will take more education. It's not just adding carbs, it's adding the RIGHT kind of carbs and lots more. And at the time I just didn't bother to read it all, and DD was enroute for Christmas and to try on wedding dresses!! Then there was the holiday foods. Plus not jogging and doing my usual walking. So, now I'm working on other ways to get my exercise in.

DO check in frequently. You will find lots of support. Our monthly thread for this month is joyously jumping into january (or something like that)...so come on over!

Okay don't laugh but I just took my first pole dancing class! LOL I was terrible at the class but it was so hard. I am now unable to lift my arms! When I went to the clinic Tuesday I got fussed at for not eating back my calories burned but it's so hard! If I did that I would have to eat 400 calories! Needless to say I did not eat that much back but I still feel sick to my stomach. Why can't all clinics have the same policy regarding exercise? It's very frustrating!

Hey Alicia!

I have told my Hubby I wanted to take pole dancing lessons and he said if I would he would install pole in middle of our living room! I think it would be great exercise and fun! I couldn't imagine all the parts of my body that would ache afterwards!

I've decided not turn in calories burned with replacement! I totally trust what they say at clinic besides that. I replaced calories burned one day and was very sick. I just tell them I work so much there is no time for exercise. Instead of trying to explain my point of view. Just gotta do what my body tells me to do. I lost one pound this week! My TOM came visitng Thursday evening so Friday at weigh in I was holding 2.5 pounds of water! And I could feel it! Did not want to weigh in because of that!

Hang in there, keep me updated!

I can hardly move today! You should try the class, it's a great workout. I'm sure you would do much better than me in the class. I get such a death grip on the pole that I can't spin! If you are interested in taking a class her website is Home. FYI beware of Brazilian butt lift class---my really thin and in shape co-workers took it last week and almost got sick in the class and couldn't walk for 3 days!

I am going to have to try your method about saying I don't have enough time to exercise. I just don't understand why they are so different about exercising. Let me know what they say to you this week.

Thanks for the Brazilian Butt lift class! Sounds scarey! Co workers couldn't walk? No thank you! Will check out the pole dance class LOL! I will let you know how Friday goes! You keep me updated too. They seem to fuss when I do housework and not replenish so I just say I've done nothing. They are okay with that?? Go figure, they don't get upset because I don't exercise as far as they know.
