L: romaine salad, turkey, cheese stick
S: atkins bar, coffee with coconut milk and splenda
D: chicken sausage, sauerkraut, cauliflower w/ cheese sauce thingy

Erin - Did you go to the clinic, or do you have a special scale that measures fat percentage?

Good job everybody!

weigh in is tomorrow morning and based on my home scale, I haven't lost any weight. It's been a very stressful busy week. The issue is not that I've over indulged but under eaten. At this point I would be very happy even if I lost one pound. Of course I would like to lose more to get to my first mini goal. Ahh let's see what happens tomorrow.

What are you hungry for? (yikes that's bad grammar)

I sometimes have greek yogurt with SF jello sprinkled in (to taste...NOT the whole package) I like peach then add a few fresh blueberries.

I make "oatmeal" out of TVP (textured vegetable protein)

leftovers from the night before

ALSO check out the recipes on the board for breakfast (I don't know how to add a link......sorry) LOTS of great recipes

Charlene, 1st.....I think since you're more aware now how emotions play into the whole problem at times it gives you one more way to combat it! You're no longer "mindlessly" eating to handle stress. YOU are in control of your choices whatever they may be!

#2 It seems like you use several different protein powders (THANK you for posting which one you use at any given time) Do you find a couple better for certain uses? Like to make the protein pancakes.....or which is the best flavor just to drink? .....or IF you like one flavor (chocolate) in one brand and say vanilla in another.......would you post your preferences?

I order Syntrax Nectar Sweets Vanilla Bean, because it doesn't have any carbs, but I didn't think I liked it much in the pancakes

In my opinion, of the tons that I have tried, MRM vanilla whey protein (i get it at whole foods) is the best for just drinking. It's really creamy, even when blended with ice and it only has 87 calories and 1.5 carbs (1g sugar) and 18g protein per serving. I only really buy vanilla these days and I flavor it with extracts or sugar free pudding powders (I love banana and pistachio) if I want something other than vanilla. You hardly have to use any pudding powder to get a good amount of flavor. For the pancakes, the ONLY kind that I have had success with is Aria protein that I get from Kroger. I has 80 calories, 3 carbs and 14g protein. There is something about it that seems to work well with the pancakes. It has a grittier texture than some of the other and I think that helps. It's good to drink too but I buy both kinds and use them for the different reasons. The MRM is a little pricier but not any more expensive than other brands. The Aria is only about 12.99 a container so it's very affordable.

Thanks Kiddo.....knew I could count on you I use SF Jell-o powder to flavor things like yogurt, so I don't know why I didn't think of pudding to flavor others! I just ordered a new Syntrax Vanilla Bean, but will try MRM next time!

Some thing just have a bad reaction in my body , I guess. I ate normally and exercised but I included two small pieces of fudge, one in the morning and one in the evening and either that or eating more salt that usual caused me to puff up. I know it's not real weight gain because my calories in where not nearly enough for that but I hate feeling big. I have a stomach ache too....it's funny cause I can indulge in occassional "junk" of other things such as cookies (made by me, so I know whats in them), cake and have even done pizza without the puffy feeling...but something about that fudge. I have the same reaction to rice, whether it's white or brown...it doesn't like me. Trial and error....
b-greek yogurt w/ pistachio flavoring
s-almonds, string cheese, the fudge...
l-cottage cheese, banana and something else that I can't remember (either apple slices or nuts)
s-cm yogurt
d-chikn cutlets and green beans
s-tiny bit more of the fudge....
45 min elliptical, abs, arms

Charlene and Mary,
I hate that "just gained a bunch of weight" feeling, and it's usually water weight. Still.....Saturday I had to lay down on the bed to zip up my jeans, for the first time in about 3 wks! (Cuz the past 3 weeks I've mainly gone from stretching or tie nursing scrub clothes right into something stretchy and warm at home! I've been measuring my self (and weighing) about every 3 wks and I now can prove I'm an overall the body inch loser and overall the body inches gainer. Not that i want to be a gainer....but I was concerned previously that I'd lose up top and not be able to gain there but would disproportionately gain in belly or lower....then was concerned I'd lose up top again if tried to get the belly or lower part off. This is day 2 for me of acute week 1 again....not easy without AS plus freezing cold in 70 degree house but high is 16 degrees outdoors and I'm not drinking in all my water...so I'm doing the best I can!
