Well, I added up all the calories and carbs of everything, and divided it by 6, 7, and 8 to see what would be a good amount of calories for meals. Then when I weighed it all out I divided the total ounces by 6,7, and 8 again to see how big each serving would be. So, normally when I make this 7servings seems to be what will fit into my days the best. You could always do less or more depending on how much you eat throughout the rest of the day. And I've thought about doing it with the Hot sausage too, I think I might try that next time. Good luck, and enjoy. Let me know what you think, I might add it to the recipe boards.

So, two Holiday family functions down, and i have a whole week until the next two. I'm going to try my hardest to eat "perfectly" medi this week to help make up for yesterday, and get me ready for Saturday. I don't feel bad about yesterday, I had a great time with my family and I didn't go crazy with food, but I definitely overate. I also drank a bit too much wine I feel very bloated and like a gained back all 20lbs, but I know its just water weight and I just need like two days to get it off and feel better. I just have one more week to get through and then I can really get back on track and get to my goal weight. I know all the temptations wont be gone, but it won't be anything like the holiday temptations. Anyways, sorry about the long post

Today, planning:
B- 2 eggs 140 coffee 70
S- LC cheese 35
L- vanilla protein shake 120
S- string cheese 70
D- burger 130

Protein calories: 495 total calories: 565 carbs: 13
And I just pray that my co-workers don't order pizza, or bring in cookies, or pie, or candy etc... today

Completing my third week! My water intake is going well...but still struggling with getting all of the protein in...I did find the Dannon Low Carb Yogurt and that helps with breakfast.
I have to force myself to eat meat.....but it is getting better :-)
I won't be weighing in the next two weeks....I will be out of town so I am determined to do as well as as can while visiting with family for the holidays!

Kelly,
I'm making this tonight! I tried to fix it one day in Jacksonville, but the store I went to didn't have the sausage.....so I ended up fixing just the shredded chicken in tomatoes.....my DD had it over pasta, and it didn't even look good to me.

I also bought more Leeks for soup, and beef to make swiss steak.....I think I have most of my meals planned out for a few days at least. We are having neighbors over for New Years Day, so will make Black Eyed Peas, and Collard Greens for them (as is tradition to bring luck and wealth in the new year)

Hey there - back for some accountability. I'm finding myself on a very slippery slope after the holidays so I'm doing a modified (800 calories) week 1 to get some control back. I don't know how I'm going to eat that little with no AS but I'm definitely going to try...

Here's my plan:
B: coffee w/ coffeemate (low fat, plain), egg beaters w/ laughing cow cheese
S: carbmaster yogurt
L: 2 links chicken sausage, mustard
S: pepperoni chips, laughing cow cheese, diet coke
D: fajita chicken strips, low fat cheese, jalapenos (No hoppin john leftovers... waaaa!)
S: atkins bar, tea

Water, water, water

I'm with you Erin. I haven't been posting due to lack of time/energy. I haven't gained anything over the holidays....actually lost about a pound but I did eat more than was neccessary on Christmas day, NYE and a couple times in between. I've been eating pretty normally the last month or so and it seems to suit me. The only thing I am really doing differently than I was prior to Medi is that I eat more protein now and I'm back to working out all the time.

Today so far:
B-greek yogurt
s-pistachios, cottage cheese
l-will be tofurky and laughing cow
s-probably a string cheese
d-planning on egg beaters and ff cheddar
Ill do 45 minutes on the elliptical and some weights, abs

I will probably only do week one for a day or two..that's usually all it takes to get my cravings at bay, which is my main problem right now. I don't want to get too confident with being able to treat myself and not gain weight.

Well I gained weight. I was way up this morning. Probably water but it terrified me. I need to get rid of more than cravings!!! We can do this! I'm digging around looking for my before and after pics to put on the fridge for motivation.

Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. FOR SURE.

Hey friends,
I had posted this note on the December thread and wanted to bring it over here to see if all of us trying to get back to goal would like to work together in this way: I wrote:
"We keep coming back to where we know there is hope and accountability...where the MediWeightLoss plan and encouragement of others going through the plan too helped keep us on track!

I have an idea. I think starting tomorrow I'll weigh myself and in my signature write my weight transition til I get back to goal weight.

Would anyone else in maintenance or near goal like to join me?!? Ex: 155 154 153 152 150 149 148 147 146 145 144 143 142 141 140 139 138 137 136 135"

Today is day 2 of acute is always the hardest! Yesterday I stayed right on track and it felt GOOD to get back some of the control I had lost.

Well on my way to getting rid of the cravings and excess fat/water that accumulated over the holidays. 120 seems to be a good goal for me. I've already walked 45 minutes in the mall and did a bunch of stairs and then some push ups. I'm not really sure how many calories I've burned so I'm not going to add in any extra.

Plan for today:

B: Peanut butter fudge crisp atkins bar (so good but better for maintenance I think)
S: carbmaster yogurt, 6 cinnamon almonds chopped and stirred in
L: rotisserie chicken and romaine, salad spritzer
S: turkey pepperoni, laughing cow cheese
D: chicken sausage w/ sauerkraut
S: truffle tea and 3 dark chocolate hershey kisses

Ingredients:
5 links Jennie-o sweet italian turkey sausage (do not use your store brand, it's way more calories and fat)
boneless skinless chicken breast (I do about a pound)
2 cans of no salt stewed tomatoes
1/2 an onion
3cloves of garlic
Chicken stock (to boil the chicken)

chop the onions and the garlic, set aside. Start a pot of water/chicken stock add the chicken, and let boil about 15min. While chicken is cooking, heat another pan on med and remove the sausage from the casing and crumble into the pan. As the sausage is cooking I also throw in the onion and garlic to saute with it. Once sausage is cooked just set pan aside. Now, shred the chicken and add to the sausage pan. Then add your two cans of stewed tomatoes and let the whole thing simmer about 15-20 minutes until the chicken absorbs most of the juices. Since I'm still in acute, I take out all the chunks of tomato, but since your in maintenance you could probably keep them in. Then I just put the whole thing in my food scale to weight it out, and divide it by 7 to see how many calories it will be and how many ounces I can do each day. Generally this yields about seven 5.5oz servings for around 170-180 calories.

I really do love this meal. the chicken is so juicy and it really does have a lot of flavor, enjoy
WOW this sounds suuuper good. I love soups but can't find anything that's carb friendly in my cookbooks for some reason. I like beans and corn and lots of onions and tomatoes in my soup! I'll need to find the jennie-o turkey sausage though. It doesn't sound familiar at all.
