Good job posting Subee! You'll find it helps when you want to check on how things are going with LCF friends and you realize you're missing some dates of accountability. The "expectation" is part of the accountability

S - grazed at Sam's vendors (sliver of cheesecake, pretzel and cheese, hot tea) D - tenderized pork cutlet on G. Foreman grill with balsalmic salad drsg - (okay) S - 2 more little protein cookies, craisins Looking at this I see I'm very deficit in veggies today! Exercise - none |

I'm HAPPY to report I've really been good about walking EVERY day, now that it's cooled down a bit. Yesterday (the 15th I think)
I walked a little later, so it was warmer than I liked, but I did it anyway.......YEAH me!Today we walked early enough, and I really had a good work out! B- protein shake L- late, late, late we ate at a buffet but I did pretty well fried chicken breast with all the breading removed, 1 bite of dry roast beef, and 2 bites of fishD- nothing yet.....still not hungry after my late lunch.....maybe just another shake

Subee - I did that....(dreamed of veggies) and later dreamed of an orange or apple (and I'd never really been a fruit eater! LOL)
Mary - Good for you regarding the exercise. You're in Florida...I'm jealous!! Make sure you are eating enough. And I don't know how you can go so LONG without eating. You don't want to make your metabolism think it's not going to be fed and make you retain the fat in case.... I'm doing well the past 2 days. I really like my protein "cookies" (see Nov thread) just 2 of the no-bake ball cookies is a perfect 3pm snack and it's good for you; but I'm so busy with grad school studies I'm not taking the time to count, write out, etc. But I'm doing well. Off to do more research for class.

Debbie,
I've never been much of a fruit eater either.....especially RAW apples.....I loved apples IN anything....Pie, crisp, turnovers, applebutter ....but RAW....NOT my "thing"......at least not until Medi! I RE-discovered FUJI apples. My Walmart sells them in a bag, and they are a MUCH smaller size......just right for one serving, so you don't have to share, or waste a thing. Now those apples are my FAVORITE snack (ok next to SF Jello with Cool Whip Lite, and pork rinds)A year ago if someone whould have told me I'd LOVE raw apples I would have laughed! I'm thrilled that a healthy food is actually a favorite snack for me! Who woulda thunk it??? ![]() |

You don't want to make your metabolism think it's not going to be fed and make you retain the fat in case.... You're right......the clinic warned me about going too long between eating.......right now I AM having a hard time getting enough protein, and spacing it out right. I need to set an alarm on my phone or something. Isn't that weird? I used to mindlessly eat 500 calories at one sitting.......now SOME days I have to WORK at getting it all in. I need to start PLANNING better again! I've been lax on planning, and have even been missing some of my supplements ![]() |

Well, this is my first day on medi, again
I was on medi back in April/May, but stuff at work got crazy and I got off track, and totally spiraled out of control. Now after gaining back 40lbs I'm back on track. I know it's gonna stick this time, I know I can do this. First time around I always enjoyed this thread, it helped keep me on track. So, I'm going to start posting my food and exercise again. Looking forward to staying on track with you all B-3 turkey sausage links S- 2 slices ham with mustard L- 3oz ground beef with taco seasoning D- planning to do 3oz flank steak and just going take the dogs for a walk tonight, since I shouldn't be exercising the first week. |

Mary - congratulations for -4 lbs this week! Hey, I bought the edamame from Sams. But I haven't done anything with it yet. How do YOU cook it, and flavor it? I've had from a restaurant and I think roasted or grilled, but don't know what to do with it. Ideas?
Char - I saw your snack! How did you like them? They are kinda dry aren't they, gotta scrunch them together tightly - but they are protein, filling, and I agree yummy! kmchap - welcome back! I lost about 24 lbs from 2/08 to 2/09 and had a family crisis, gained it all back, then started with Medi again 12/09 and focused on making it realistically work for me inside my HEAD! You might find the Books and Blogs thread helpful. You can do this. Just make a list for yourself WHY you want to do it, why you NEED to get the weight off. It needs to be about you, not about anybody else. |

Crazy day today - worked and then had to chauffeur kids to/from soccer and hockey from 4:30-7 tonight - I did well despite it all - just felt like it was a little too long between eating lunch and dinner.
Question about coffee for those in the know - I have pretty much given it up in week one - not having the cravings for it but more because I don't like the artificial creamer and can't drink it black. A friend was on Atkins a while back and used 1/2 and 1/2 and I checked today - no carbs. Does anyone use it or are the calories just too much? B - ricotta w/splenda L- eggs D - chicken breast No exercise ![]() |

Subee - When I first started Medi I used 1/2 and 1/2, until my MWL doc informed me about almond milk. It's nondairy and works well. Not as "light" looking, but I've been using it for months and it's habit now, plus it lasts a long time! I like the choc version (of course this is all unsweetened).

Coconut creamer?! That sounds sinful! My sugar free creamer is good but I drink a lot of coffee so the calories add up. I like creamy coffee!
This morning is day 1 and I already blew it with a bite of tres leches cake left over from my son's birthday yesterday. Ugh! It's only 8:00! Ok here is the rest of my day planned out. B: egg beaters, lc cheese, turkey sausage S: carbmaster yogurt (found the new flavors!) L: fajita chicken, salsa, lettuce, low fat cheese S: turkey pepperoni, lc cheese, diet soda D: corned beef, veggies S: 1 glass wine. I WILL DRINK MY WATER TODAY

I WISH it would have been -4 in one week, but it really wasn't........I missed my weigh-in the week before so that was my normal 2 pounds a week weight loss........Don't get me wrong I'll take it, and am thrilled! ANY loss is a good thing! ![]() Did you get the edamame that is in the small individual containers in the big box (I think there were maybe 6 or 8 in the last box I bought)? I really just follow the directions on the box.....I put a couple little slits in the film covering the container, then pop in the microwave for a minute (or whatever it said) CAUTION: Don't over heat or they get mushy! Then let it sit. I use the sea salt that was also supplied in the box, sprinklle it on and eat! I have also let one container thaw in the fridge, and then just eaten cold with the sea salt. Bill takes them out of the individual container and puts them in a bowl to heat......but he tends to over cook them .....so if you do that just cook for a short time, then check |

Mary - Sorry your knee is still bothering you. You may need an MRI. I had a knee injury (strain and vertically torn MCL) and it healed with ice, ace, as much rest as I could for the first few days, and wasn't "good as new" for about 9 months!
I biked today for 2 1/2 miles. Too tired to type out my eating... |
