I don't usually post on this thread until the end of the day, AFTER the damage has been done. Maybe if I post my INTENTIONS, I'll REALLY be accountable. I'm gonna try that!

B - turkey sausage
L - deli meat and cheese, apricot, cottage cheese
S - yogurt
D - roast beef and spinach salad

30 minutes interval training on treadmill
Weights and abs

Total calories around 600 to 700. I'll check in later this evening and see how close I came.

Lea, you did great today! I liked your plan of listing what you planned to eat, hoping that it would keep you accountable.

For me: B-Protein shake
S-cocoa almonds (I found them, and YUM!)
L-tuna, Miracle Whip Free, romaine leaf, tiny tomato
D-We went to a steak restaurant that has the most wonderful huge yeast rolls (one of my faves), and I had to sit and smell them and not have one! Also, someone at the table ordered one of those bloomin' onion things (love those, too), and I didn't have one bite. [I think it makes me feel more righteous to list what I resisted..] I had a salad with pieces of grilled sirloin on it (most of which I brought home), with raspberry vinaigrette on the side, hold the croutons.

No exercise, as I went from work to a funeral home visitation to dinner and now home.

Hope everyone is doing great and has a wonderful weekend.

Busy day AGAIN. I was hardly home....but managed not to do too bad.
7/30
B-protein shake (110)
L-sweet freedom lab carb ice cream bar (100-bad choice for lunch, I know)
S-medi bar (right after the ice cream bar to add in protein)
D-2 veggie burgers and one slice soy cheese (180)
S-handful of cinnamon roast almonds (about 100)
Late PM snack-100 calories pack cocoa roast almonds.

No official exercise but mingling for 4+ hours in 4 1/2 inch heels...

Another art "gala" on this night...and although my daytime food choices weren't the best, I said no to TONS of delicious finger foods and cupcakes/cookies/etc AND pizza afterwards. I drank three huge glasses of water instead.

I wish it was more expensive so I wouldn't be as tempted to buy it. I'm sorry! I probably shouldn't suggest....because I have noticed that many of us have "nut problems" but the Emerald Cinnamon roast almonds are another keeper.

Today:
B-protein shake (140)
L- medi bar (100)
S- cinnamon almonds (150)
D-veggie burgers and soy cheese (180), celery and a little cucumber

35 minutes on new bike, 10 minutes bowflex, crunches, lots of walking at the mall

Ha - I love these suggestions. I now have Kroger peanut butter in my fridge. It really is good.

I need to keep away from the nuts in general though. And the bars. If I eat both in one day, my fat percentage can be almost 50% of my total calories. Ick!

Emerald Cinnamon??? I haven't seen those yet! Sounds great. Thank goodness for PB2... can eat 3 to 6 servings and not break the nutrition bank.

It's Monday...ugh. Eating went well this weekend but I received bad news that brought up all the emotional eating issues (eating for comfort). So this weekend was rough.

Munday :-( Menu
B: ham & cheese, coffee
L: Tuna with some grilled chicken
D: ground meat with homemade taco seasoning in lettuce cups

Exercise: probably an hour bike ride (been doing these more lately) or attempting day 1 of couch to 5k.

Side note (me venting): Does anyone else have a hard time trying NOT to compare their results to someone else's results? I love this forum and all of you on this journey. I really do. I just find myself comparing myself to others which usually ends up discouraging me. It's hard to see ourselves as others do.

Feel free to comment or ignore me. Like I said, it was a rough weekend.

I hope you all have a lovely week.

Kasey, I TOTALLY compare myself to others on here and sometimes I make myself crazy. I want to be some combination of everyone on here:
I want to be a size 4 like Erin, be able to run like Lins and GirlinJersey, make smart eating choices like Charlene, have a beautiful heart like Debbie, have the length and knowledge of maintenance like Susie, etc.

When I read about these tiny little sizes and 120's and 130 weigh ins, I am just amazed. I was 5' 8" in 7th grade and I have NEVER been a size 4. I never will be. But the truth is, I'd kinda like to be. I always hated being the tall, big girl. My best friend is 5' 1" and 113 pounds (this week!) We look like silly side by side.

I totally know what you mean. Like I said in the main forum a few days ago. A friend told me she was a size 4. She does work hard at it, but it's just so frustrating, that she can just "watch what she eats" for a week or so and go to the gym, and drop 8lbs and fit into a size 4. I know she didn't lose all the weight that I have ETC... but it still gets frustrating. Plus my hubbies family are all naturally thin people. The kind that can eat all they want and never gain weight. Even my hubby's 92 yr old grandfather is thing and eats fried EVERYTHING. It's just super high motabalism. And I have to work hard every single bite, and work my tale off during exercise.

I know how you feel! I suppose we always want what we can't have. I would LOVE to be your height...I'm 5'6", so I'm not really short....just average. I wish I was tall and had "presence" like I'm sure you do, I have always wished I could run....but I just can't. I can exercise indoors or ride a bike but just could never run or jog. I have a couple friends who are 4'11" and one I recently, jokingly made stand on a chair and fluff her dress out in a group photos so the rest of us wouldn't look like giants. I think it takes a lot longer to be at peace with your whole self than to just be "ok" with your appearance.

I am new to writing messages, but here goes… Everyone is different, and life makes us want different things. My sister is 5’11’’ and my brother is 6’6’’. I am 5’7’’, shortest in my family, you gotta know I wanted to be taller. Even in college when for a whole half hour I weighed 138 pounds, I was barely a size 12. (of course, this was before the resizing in the early 90’s) . I married a lovely chinese man who is just my height. I’m one of the tallest in his family, short would be good now. (Talk about the odd couple, my sister and his best friend (5’2”) were our matron of honor and best man at the wedding.) Currently I don’t have goals like my thighs not rubbing, I just want my chest to stick out farther than my tummy. I have a nice chest, this is a goal that I should be able to obtain. Mmmm, maybe I need more goals, or maybe I just sound old.

Thanks everyone! I know it's stupid. I let myself get wrapped up in the negative that I don't see the positive. My best friend is a size 4 and she's always going on about 5 lbs. Her 5 lbs aren't fat but muscle. So much of this is mental.

The grass is always greener on the other side. But this is the reason why I love this forum. You guys always understand.

I didn't have any peanut butter today either!! Or yesterday. I'm refocusing and hoping to lose these last few pounds.

B - turkey sausage
L - ham and cheese, apple
S - nectarine and a few bites of cantaloupe
D - salad, cottage cheese, okra, jello, almonds

Total calories 670
Protein 445

Only 30 minutes on the bike today. So tired and my muscles were killing me after yesterday's workout. But I didn't want to do NOTHING, so I did something. Just not much.

Hi my friends and accountability partners! I have been crazy busy with garage sale on Friday, cleaned and rearranged garage most of the day Saturday, church, lunch out and making some house remodeling decisions and homework on Sunday, then today learned all that remodeling may have to be put on hold for a while though still meeting with folks for estimates. Emotional highs and lows...but never felt like I needed to grab old "friends" (chocolate or ice cream). Didn't want them....but I'm grateful they were also not here in the house!

Eating has been a little more carbs than usual because had Carlos O'Kelly Sunday afternoon, ate one chip and ate the flour tortilla. Eating much lighter today.

Saturday AM jogged for several 6 min periods on my 40 mins jog/walk. Sunday AM biked the same two hilly miles I jog on...ouch! Used some different muscles than I've used in quite a while in that sitting/cycling position! I have a great respect for my daughter who is putting it all together and doing a triathalon this coming Sunday--yikes!
