No exercise today. Day off but I probably would've been in a better frame of mind if I had fit in some cardio. I just don't want to burn out.

B: yogurt/strawberry/protein smoothie, coffee
S: cheese stick
L: Salad w/ chicken, olives, olive oil, tomato, fat free feta, o&v
S: Vitamuffin, low carb ice-cream
D: fajjita salad, wine

Calories:1353

I truly need to watch the splenda. I'm eating/drinking way too much of it and I'm craving sweets all the time now.

Erin~Interesting to read how your eating and drinking water has changed. Wow....I'm not ready yet for the responsibility!

6/30/10
B-1/2 of strawberry Pure Protein bar (not my fav)
L-Taco Bell beef tequita w/ guacamole, water
S-strawberries and cocoa almonds, other 1/2 of Protein bar
D-Talapia and broccoli

Exercise-Today I would have done C2K but didn't enough time before appt, so just got on the treadmill here at home and walked for 5 mins, jogged at 3.8 mph for 2mins, then walked at 3 mph for 10 mins (treadmill LIMIT is to 4mph since it's a low voltage walking treadmill)

Is posting here advantageous to others? I don't want to sabotage anyone. I'm afraid newbies might get turned off by my menu.

It is advantageous. Don't stop. What better way to learn about maintenance than from someone who is in maintenance. Of course we know your eating is different than ours because you are no longer in the acute phase. It really helps to read about the maintenance journey.

All right, good. No one else on maintenance posts in here so was just curious if it's a good or bad thing. Most eat just like in acute - only more. With these sugar free things sneaking up on me, I'm going to clean up my diet when I get home from vacation. Mostlly lean meat and vegetables. It hasn't made me gain weight. In fact, I weighed 125 this morning which is 5 lbs under goal but it's a slippery slope when you start to really crave sweet things. (Plus I think I'm PMS'ing as well.) I wonder how much splenda is safe. I drink crystal light, eat jello, put davinci syrup in my coffee, it's in my vanilla protein powder, bars, and yogurt... (Not even counting those AMAZING sugar free vitamuffin things. omg)

It's a constant battle.

Erin, I love reading about your journey, it's very helpful because I'm not far away, so please keep writing. You might put....in maintance on the top of each post just so a newbie sees that your eatting is different. But I really enjoy reading what you write. Thanks!

B-Medi Bar
L- Chicken Sausage
S- Beef Jerky
D- Sliced Ham and a fresh veggie (going to the farmers market today)

45 min on the Gazelle, this should be my running night, but I am 90% sure it will be raining tonight, so I'll probably end up staying indoors.

And Water Water Water Water Water........ I weight-in tomorrow and it's my TOM so I don't want to have extra water weight.

lins -- maybe Beef Jerkey isnt the best idea right before a weigh in when water weight might be an issue? unless its some low sodium brand and if so PLEASE share with me haha.

Erin ~ Please continue! I hope to be getting close to maintenance by the end of July, and I like seeing how you're eating and how it's affecting your weight, emotions, dealing with it, etc! You're just fine, friend! I hope it didn't come across wrongly when I made my comment about your posting....the screen doesn't show the true inflections, etc.

Ortal - a pickle sounds good! I have some Kroger brand Bread N Butter pickles that are sweeted in splenda. No carbs.

7/1/10
B - carbmaster's strawberry yogurt, and I added 3 sliced strawberries
L - Pina Colata Whey Jay Robb Protein Powder w/ water and ice - YUM! Tastes like sherbert! No carbs!
S - Kroger B-n-B pickles
D - planning on salad with lettuce and spinach leaves, tomatoes and chicken
S - planning on diet jello, maybe another pina colata shake

Exercise - none; slept in this AM and been doing housework and schoolwork all day

I used to be a total chocolaholic (sp?) so I understand!

BTW: The Kroger pickles I wrote about are 1 carb per spear...I ending up eating 3 of them for a snack!

Just got back from the doctor with a UTI. It came on quick! I felt like maybe I had something going on late last nite, but now there's blood in my urine and I've got a fever and I HURT!!

There was really no method to my eating today that I can call breakfast lunch and dinner.

Here's the order:
cheese stick
salad
peanut butter (lots of it)
almonds
turkey slices with guacamole
cottage cheese
Atkins bar
EAS shake
peanut butter (lots more of it)
okra

I think that's about all. I was at 1200 calories at 5:00. Now that I'm home from the doctor, I'm not hungry, drinking some iced tea (isn't that supposed to be a natural diuretc) and with any luck, I'll go to bed early tonite and won't eat anything else.

NO exercise.

I switched out some string cheese instead of the beef jerky I was planning on. Then i had 6 almonds after I spent 1 hour on the Gazelle. I made sure to drink every drop of the 128oz of water today before weight-in tomorrow. I am sooooooo nervous.

I am totally PMSing and had 1 m&m today and just let it melt on my tongue. It's so nice to know that I do have the ability to have a tiny taste of something and have it satisfiy my cravings. It allows me to know that I am in control of what I eat, but at the same time still have a tiny bit of my favorite so I know that I don't have to give up the taste.

Best of luck to everyone else. I enjoy reading what everyone is eatting it gives me ideas, and keeps me motivated. We CAN do this!

Lea prayers for a quick recovery from the UTI

Lea - I'm sorry you're feeling so yucky! Adults don't handle fevers well at all. And, women are used to going and going and giving and giving. You take care of you! Be sure and drink all your water too, though tea may be a diuretic it can make you dehydrated on our WOE if you're not drinking enough water too!

I cannot believe June was my most weight lost in a month in quite a while....difference is adding in the exercise. Duh! And being more accountable with actually writing down what I'm eating on our thread (right here!) So, thank you friends for keeping me accountable! Hoping to push into the next few lbs loss so that I'm down to 145 by weigh in Monday....that would be a huge push....especially with DD coming home tomorrow and we might go to see family out of state! Hoping to be at goal near end of July or the first week of August! I'm open for BIG tips to get there!

I ate the turkey burger with onion, tomato, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much guacamole, wrapped in lettuce. And then I ate a Russell Stover's peppermint pattie.

Total calories about 900
Protein 600

Probably I'm going to have to take that walk...

Erin, you made me smile.

Anyone - can you give me some info on the chicken sausage? What brand? Where to buy? What the calorie and carb totals are? How you prepare? What you make them with? I want to try to find some of those!

B - carbmaster's yogurt + 3 strawberries
S - 1/2 pure protein bar
L - other 1/2 pure protein bar, string cheese
D - out to eat with family (steak soft taco, lettuce, tomato, guac, mango margarita--I'd had a headache since 3:30pm, no relief with Aleve and sudafed, thought this would help....eventually it did but wow, small margarita made me SO under the influence. My body was not used to that alcohol after clean choices for so many months! Glad I wasn't driving. Headache gone after an hour.)

Exercise - C25K 2 min jog alternating with 1 min walk for 35 mins

Erin - I'm jealous of your Zumba class! DD got here today and Sat AM we plan to go to a class at Y, check 4 Y's and only thing available she's interested in is a turbokick class. We'll see how I do!

Hi Lea - We're getting it at Sam's club brand "Member's Mark", sold in the cooler area across from the meat display. Chicken sausage w/ mozzarella/garlic flavor is the only one I've tried so far. About 15 links sold for about $12, 17g protein, 2 g carb, 2.5 g fat. I cut mine up into bite size pcs and microwave for 2 mins, then top with sauerkraut and microwave (covered) again for 30-60 seconds. I've seen where some folks are grilling them.

Out of town at sister in laws in Missouri. Served Stoffer's (pre-made) lasagna and breadsticks last pm...no way to pick it apart and not much protein in it. No veggies. Amazing that I ate all those carbs and had NO feeling of having even eaten, no satisfaction. Amazing....that is the first time I've been SO crazy off plan with a meal of about 94% carbs and no alternative. Such an eye opener to how my body reacts. Finally raided the cupboard at 8:30pm after I asked if they had any nuts and ate some roasted almonds.
Like Erin, I don't want to report today. But, I am making the best of it.
Took a walk with hubby this AM and took another, longer walk this afternoon.
Trying to remember to fill up with water too so I don't just drink diet Sprite and fill up on food. Eating fresh fruit opposed to sugary picnic salads as much as possible.
