confused between medi weightloss and HCG diet

I am confused between Medi weighloss and HCG diets, I know both use shots and something about 500 calories a day. Can you help me with info?

From what I understand HCG is pregnant horse urine injected into you daily to make your body think it's pregnant and somehow feeding a fetus (but not really) so therefore thinking it's needing to use up more calories in the body. I'm really against this though I have a couple friends doing it. I think there is not research to show this would in any way be safe. Why should it be? It's pregnant horse's urine! As a nurse I'm concerned someone prone to polycystic ovary disease or ovarian cancer could be in danger!

Alternatively, mediweightloss injections are PURELY vitamins, the MIC one is vitamins a chromium, etc. Things you can buy in a store but made available at Medi in shot form to be injected once or twice a week. There's a world of difference!

These are two totally different programs. HCG is the Simeon protocol and there is a whole forum on it here at LCF. Personally, you could not begin to pay me enough to try it as I, like Debbie above, have some serious issues with it.

MWL on the other hand is a different program. Go to the website for MediWeightLoss and you can learn at great deal there about the program as well as in these threads.
