Thank you Jessica! Yes....When I first joined I noted our similar stats and I was so excited for you when you reached various milestones and I BELIEVED that if I just keep doing the program as it's written, I could one day be in your shoes...and sure enough, it really worked! I am finally in the 100s....the clinic asked the last time I saw that number on the scale. I have no idea....but I would guess and say maybe October of 2000 based on a pair of jeans that I kept from that time That is nearly 10 years ago!

Oh and one thought....I think something re-kicked my body into a high metabolism after I slowed on my work-outs over the holiday and ate in a way I was not used to (but without overdoing it too much).... Because once I started back into my normal groove, adding in a couple extra workouts to make up for "lost time", my body just responded amazingly. You have had a different reason for a break, but I hope your body responds the same way and the fire really gets going when you pass your clearance!

1) I am in the 80 pound club
2) I am no longer obese, just overweight
3) I am wearing an Ann Taylor pencil skirt in size 14. (It was a hand me down and I have never bought or worn anything from Ann Taylor in my life).
4) I am in the 100's.

I have 19 more pounds until I reach my goal and you can bet I am going to finish strong! I am so excited.... This program, the clinic staff, my friends here at home who have/are doing this program and you guys really have shown me that anything is possible. My only hope would be for anyone to never EVER give up!

(oh and by the way....my husband and I weigh 45 pounds LESS as a couple than we did on our wedding day....it is a wonderful feeling!)
I wish I could find the words to express how proud I am of you, and how thrilled I am for you that you have hit all of these milestones!!

You are such a wonderful person, inside and out, and you give so much to others, it is wonderful to see this happen for you!!

Welcome to onederland and I hope you hit your goal soon, I have absolutely no doubt that you will!! LYMI!!!

Do you think you can take in some chicken soup?

(FF lite chicken broth, some celery, cauliflower, chicken breast, summer squash, etc.)

Chicken soup always makes me feel better.

Hey guys long time no "talk"

Have been maintaining through the holidays and shifted myself into more of a maintenance lifestyle.

I haven't been going to the Medi appt's weekly, even though I still want to lose about 12lbs to hit 200

I switched to taking stay slim and have been off the AS for about a month now, and had no issues coming off.

I made up a before/after photo with our christmas photos we had done this year

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y35...reandafter.jpg

Hope everyone is doing well, and I could not have changed my life without Medi Weight Loss!

One of my main motivators is that I want to WANT to take pictures with my daughters--not hide from the camera--When I die I pray that my girls can find pictures of me--RIGHT now at this weight they wont

Congrats Susie...belatedly Things have been very busy lately! Spent 45 minutes yesterday with our local newspaper getting interviewed and photographed. Since losing all of this weight, my hernia has re-appeared and so I go see that doc tomorrow along with my 2 week consult with the tummy tuck doc. They are planning on fixing the hernia during the tummy tuck. Then Thursday is my radio interview with WJR-760 that will air on January 24th at 7pm. Also spoke to Dr. Cobb and sometime in the near future, I may also be a part-time counselor at the clinic! A funny thing happened last night! My wife gave me a hug and went..."oooohhhh...you have muscles!"

WOW Jennifer!!! Good for you!!!
Glad you're back with us! That is a GREAT loss! Was that because you were back to eating the week 1 way??? I feel like I need to go back to that because I haven't been very strict with myself and haven't even been journaling!!! I need a jumpstart I think!

Congratulations Justin and nice to "talk" with you! You are an inspiration! The photos show you looking about 10-12 years younger than you were 2 years ago! And look at your proud wife's smile...enjoy! Someone today on a maintainance medi thread posted a link to a really good blog. I recommend you look through it!

Jennifer (QueenCityDiva), I'm so happy for you! Sorry to be so rough on the post in the other thread...hope you're on board with us to go all out and lose it all! I have to admit something I haven't yet posted....even though I only came to this site 12/28/09 I too am a Medi restarter. I'd started the end of Sept 08 and eventually lost about 27 lbs but due to changing graduate schools and other conflicts told myself I could try to continue without clinic visits. Being on my own it was really easy to eventually lie to myself due to a busier schedule, less planning time, and emotional self nurturing with food! I had a bilateral mastectomy in 7/07 at 178 lbs and because of wonderful plastic surgery using my excess abdominal fat to reconstruct new "breast" tissue my doctor told me I would not be allowed to gain weight....that I might really hurt something in my abd because he cinched my abdominal muscles with mesh. Well, by 12/28/09 I'd been feeling internal discomfort in an area that I knew was from the mesh being tested by an expanding omentum (visceral belly fat). Not wanting to undo everything surgically and for concern for my health and impending diabetes I began my clinic visits again. I have so much to be thankful for and my selfish assault of food on my body was about to destroy me. Coming to the decision to really be serious and have a turning point is an individual timing. I'm there, finally! You've got the exercise portion down, not me yet. So, hey, "two are better than one because the other can pull the other up from time to time."

I think that it would also be nice for people to say how much they have lost and how long it took. I know the stats are normally in the profiles, but it would be nice to see it easier. Thanks!

My first week weigh in I lost 6.2 lbs, and followed the program to a "T". The scale actually went up from yesterday, and not to make excuses, I am having issues. I won't bore you with the details, but I need to find more fiber in my diet. The end I can't believe I just told complete strangers that...so we will see what this week has in store for me. Again, I love having this forum to read and be inspired. I love that we all share the same types of feelings, fears, and experiences! Thanks so much!

Oh Jerry that would be awesome to come in to clinic and have YOU to talk to! You are like celebrity status ! Your "hug" story sounds familiar. The other night my husband slipped his arm around my waist and says, "Man there is not much of you there anymore" I said , "Ya think??!!" He then said how most of my clothes are still so big and baggy and noone can see that there is not "me" under them anymore... so it is hard to tell how much smaller I am!

Hi Everyone,
I finally went in for my weigh-in and I lost 7lbs (during a period of 11 days)!!! I am finally under 200. I never thought this day would come, but it is finally here. I was so excited, as I now weigh less than what I weighed when my husband and I met. The last time I weighed less than 195 was the birth of my son, almost 12 years ago

Medi really works!!!

Tri-Mom - thanks for the support and encouragement - sincere congratulations not only on the anniversary, but also on your achievements. It is individuals like you that inspire so many of us out here

Susie - I was hoping you had joined Winter Park clinic .... Sandlake is close to my office, but its so hard to get out during the day - I live in Apopka, so WP is somewhat closer.

I dont remember who said it early this year - but I keep telling myself - nothing tastes as good, as skinny feels!!!

Not sure if this is the right thread to post in our not, but I'm still a newie, so hopefully I got it right!

I started Week 2 yesterday. I lost 11 in Week 1 and am sooo excited!

I weighed myself (I know, I know, but it's just habitat & I wanted to make sure I was doing ok with week 2.) Anyways, I have gained 2 pounds.

I don't know if it's b/c I introduced some laughing cow light cheese, cool whip free, or b/c I just started my cycle (sorry, I know that might be TMI) but I'm just trying to figure out if I've done something wrong and should go back to week 1 or what?

I am still testing in ketosis, but didn't know if any of you ladies have had a similar experience? suggestions?

Thanks so much!
