Hi, Everyone! Sorry I have not been posting much lately. Have been busy at work, at home and exercising.
I am thrilled to report for this month's weigh in was 12.5 lbs loss (my second month now) I had two personal goals 1) to try to lose 10-12 pounds a month and 2) to exercise at least 5 times a week and I made both of my goals this month. They measured me and I lost 5 inches in my belly area! (I know I lost more inches in my hip and "chest" area but did not measure those but boy, are my blouses and pants droopy!) I am going to stop by consignment/Goodwill stores to see if I can find clothing that are not expensive since I will wear them for a short time and plan to drop more of those pounds soon! Hey, Newbies, welcome to our "great place, the Medi Weight Loss Forum" where advice is freely given by our good "experienced" friends! I am happy for those who are so close to their goals, keep it up!

So I just wanted to ask you guys about stretch marks. I have never had any in my life...until this week. I have heard these can come from rapid weight loss. Is there any way to get rid of them? Do any of the creams or lotions actually work? Thanks for any help you guys can give!
PS - Jerry, that video was amazing! You look incredible! Congratulations on all your hard work! |

Good luck Jerry! Praying for you.
Susie- excellent news for your husband! Marymo- You are doing great! Must say I have had the same problem with clothes. I didnt realize how quickly the weight would actually come off and spent too much buying clothes only to find they are too big! Ahsley- whoo hoo! excellent news. Also, thought I would pass this on. I have been called "skinny" by 3 different people in one week. I had to smile. My first race is on saturday for breast cancer. Should be a breeze as it is only 5K. I am excited I can say that now after 2.5 months of running. everybody keep it up!! ![]() |

I am on day 13 and have lost 2 more lbs. Adding vegetables was WONDERFUL
Have had an occasional dill pickle or a few meat skins as snack, but overall I have not been hungry enough to bother. I am sure I will come up on a "crashy" day, but I think I can get through it.Biggest surprise to me is that I was a night snacker and so far, I haven't had too much trouble getting away from that. I take my appetite suppressant at 7-11-3 and get sleepy about 10:30. I still can imagine the way a pizza or spaghetti tastes but don't really have any problem not eating them!! After 15 years of every diet in the book, I think I have found one that actually works |

You can use this same method to make quesidillas as well. It is made with cheese, which is high in fat and sodium (but Medi legal), so only have it once in a while.

I had friends who tried medifast and regained the weight quickly once they stopped. Medi weightloss teaches you how to eat after you lose the weight.!! I lost 100 lbs in 26 wks and have maintained and actually lost 10 lbs more since (my choice) since the middle of September! Thanks for the info though. cindy |

Hi all! Weigh in today and after the past two weeks Ive had with company from out of town, my birthday and many meals eaten out I am happy to say I am down 1/2lb. I ll take it. I have learned that although I have the tools and know what I have to do to maintain this WOL it is a slippery slope back to eating for comfort and overindulging. Thankful I had this board to help me stay on track.. Im looking for a big loss next week.
Jerry, good luck.. youre in my thoughts. Everyone have a great week! Sandra |

Hey everyone, I was just on the Walden Farms website and saw their calorie, fat, and carb free chocolate syrup, peanut butter, caramel dip, marshmallow dip, and strawberry and raspberry jelly. Has anyone tried these? Do they actually taste decent? I would love to be able to have some of these, but I don't want to spend the money to order them unless the taste is good. Which ones have you guys tried and liked?

Kristen-I like the Chocolate syrup and the carmel dip mixed into Fage yogurt. For Peanut Butter, I prefer PB2 and you can buy all three at netrition.com.
For jelly, Polaner has sugar free jellies and NOW sugar free jellies with fiber. I recommend these as they are cheaper than the WF ones and available at your local stores. El Quote:

Down 15 lbs in 4 wks. Would like to have seen more but now I understand what part of the problem has been. I discussed with my Medi doc and she agreed that the Januvia actually made me gain weight since I've been on in the past 10 months (started by a different doc to aid in my insulin resistance/prediabetes)...but it actually made me gain weight! So, I'm stopping that and going only on Metformin and upping from 500 mg twice a day to now three times a day. I'm looking for at least 2 lbs off next week!! I'm in for the long haul because I know otherwise diabetes is lurking around the corner, and it's already visited my parents and all my grandparents!

AND the meds aren't bad either! They took 12 pounds of skin! Not going to weigh myself though. Gonna wait a couple of weeks before I do that! |

I went golfing for the first time in awhile and had to roll the waisteband of the skirt to keep it on during the afternoon. I hadn't realized how drastic my waistline had reduced. I figured my regular clothes were also too baggy, so I picked up a few pairs of new work slacks. Would you believe I thought I was in 9s, but ended up with a size 6?? I can't believe how off I was on sizing!! Even though I can see the weight loss in the mirror, my mind hadn't caught up to my body. I think it is finally sinking in that I'm not really on the heavy side and that is making me giddy.
