Some people cannot tolerate the iron in vitamins. Ask your clinic counselor if there is an alternative. Also, it is best to drink 8 ounces of water after you take any vitamin. |

Week 3
I have to admit I was a little discouraged when I gained .4 my second week. They told me I was retaining water due to TOM, I didn't exercise and that it was too soon to be eating the Shirataki noodles (darn!). But, I still felt like I should be down! Weighed in for week 3 on Sat. and I lost 5lbs!
THAT'S A TOTAL OF 12.2 LBS IN 3 WKS - YAY! I just hope and pray the weight loss continues. I'm noticing I'm not as good about tracking and writing down my meals on the wkd but I've stuck to the plan. I got through some times of horrible headaches and nausea which I've heard a few of you complaining about. My advice to you is STICK WITH IT! They told me its just my body going through ketosis and withdrawing from sugar, etc. I got through it drinking chicken broth, Powerade Zero (strawberry) and to be honest, going to bed early! I have always been up and down the same 10 lbs or so. I will be so happy if and when i break the threshold and keep losing. HANG IN THERE FELLOW NEWBIES!!! |

You are not a bother- this group offers great support so please feel free to lean on all of us! I was only about 9 lbs different from you when I started. A little over 4 months later I reached my goal weight! I NEVER thought when I first started that I would get here. But I did. You CAN do this! It takes hard work and making smart choices but you will slowly but surely start to gain confidence in yourself and how strong you truly are each and every day. I know goal weight seems soooooo far away- it did for all of us at one point!

Hi All!
I know I have been away for a while- but wanted to pop in and say hello! I actually signed a contract for my first house this weekend and will be closing at the end of February. I am very nervous! I am trying not to let the stress get the best of me! I certainly have been snacking more than I have since I started the program- but it has been on medi approved foods and I have been working on cutting down. I have been able to get the exercize in and it looks like I have still been able to lose a little bit (I think I am closer to 155-156 now). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to go into my clinic since I hit my goal weight- I have been crazy busy and need all of the extra money that I can get my hands on so that my fiance and I will actually have furniture when we move into our house. I know that I still need to make medi a priority in my life. I need to be held accountable and hope to continue to come to this site for support. I really need the extra push until I have the funds to go back to my clinic in a few weeks. I know that this is a way of life and just because I hit goal weight does not mean that my relationship with food has changed. I need to focus on wellness and maintenance every day for the rest of my life. I have been given such a blessing and opportunity to turn my life around. I know that it will take a lot of work to make this lifestyle a permanent change. |

I just finished week 1 and I am terribly disappointed. I only lost 2 lbs. I stuck with it, drastically cut calories, struggled through the hunger and fatigue all for 2lbs. I didn’t cheat and followed the rules. They told me it was water due to TOM and I expected the number not to be big, maybe around 5, but the 2 just broke my heart. I just don’t get it. Did anyone else do such a small number in week 1? Maybe this just isn’t for me.

Almost the end of Day 3 and I'm actually doing this! There were a few times that I WANTED some Lipton Iced Tea or just a few chips or just SOMETHING! I talked myself out of it!! I'm impressed with me.... for once in my life!

If you are retaining water, don't give up. I have retained as much as 5 pounds of water and bloat and lost it in two days. Keep going another week and see what the results are. Even with a 2 pound loss, you are moving down the scale instead of up. |

My husband started today. He has 50 pounds to lose. He got through day 1 just fine. I made sure I had lots of protein snacks around the house that he could have.
He should do really well having his own private Medi cook and coach ( like Oprah |

Thinin10,
I agree with the other posts. You need to stick with this and not give up. Look at it this way, if you started an exercise program, would you change your body in a week? Would the changes you made (but maybe didn't see) in that week help you on week 2, and week 3 and week4? Let your body adjust, don't sabotage what positives are happening even if you don't see them on the scale. |

Susie....
The sad part is watching how quick it melts off the men! Years ago I did Gut busters w/ my hubby. He dropped 25lbs before I hit 10!! Nasty. He will do just fine I am sure now that you have paved the way!! Hope all is well w/ your Medi coaching gig! Did you mention that you rec'd a bodybugg ?? I know one of the Maintenance mavens had one...if so, does it work well? |

Susie--that's great! You're a great inspiration to your husband... He's probably already pretty used to the lifestyle, just needs to implement it, right?

You are getting ever so close to that elite 100 pound club. Way to hang tough. I remember when you first started and it doesn't seem that long ago. Hard to believe that was 92 pounds ago! Where do the pounds go??? (I really don't want to know because I never want to find them.) |
