Glad to know they were part of your program and you have had such wonderful success! I am trying to get some traction first before I go exploring in the recipe and other food links. I know this early on in the program for me, I have to keep clear of the "mind" field foods! Once I build up some confidence and success, I will need to expand my horizons to get variety and things like cheesecake bites will be a prize to savor! Thanks for all your tips, you are an insipration! |

Every clinic is different, I guess. Mine wants me to follow what is on the sheet only.
I enter everything into Dailyplate.com and bring that to the clinic for my food journal. I think part of the problem was that the cheesecake bites nutrition info was probably formatted for the higher fat version- the Hungry Girl version of the recipe? Plus the recipe name just sounded bad. My clinic questioned the EAS powder too and didn't want me to use it. I really appreciate how involved my clinic is. The NP even called to see how I was doing. I have no idea why I gained a pound that second week. I thought I had hit a plateau and I wore heavy jeans to the weigh in, so that's what I think happened? My fat went down that week anyway. Today my size 16 jeans fell off. They've been loose for a while. I might jump right into size 12. I couldn't stand it and jumped on the scale. Another pound gone. I have been teary all day. Haven't been 175 for YEARS. Thank you, God. Cheers to my fellow losers. And thank you SO MUCh for all of the support! Last edited by LostinAusten; 01-22-2010 at 12:17 PM.. |

I weighed in earlier this week and passed the 100# mark and then some! I am officially down 104# now. I was on the scale with the nurse and she was telling everyone that it was my 100# weigh in. Of course everyone was celebratory and the head doctor (Dr Cobb) walked by and said, "I want you on MY appointment books next visit! You are in a new club now and we need to celebrate your success!" WoW!
I seem to just be plugging along with no cheating or no real issues or questions, so I never ask to have an appointment with her. I am honored she requested me! But a little nervous at the same time! I will keep my journal and choices perfectly for the next 2 weeks for sure! I was nervous, though, when I started off the week with the stomach flu and throwing up anything and everything. I panicked when I thought about what to eat and all the old "sick" foods came to mind... crackers, dry toast, etc since they are not compliant. But I could not have kept them down anyway! I drank a LOT of diet 7 up for the first 24 hours and somehow got through it all. I think I am finally rehydrated and able to eat again. Now to get back on the Wii Fit Plus!

I am new here, so, I'm sorry if I'm bothering any of you - but I need the support! I don't want to fall off this diet too! I am starting off Day 2 today. I had no issues yesterday, except for a lot of shakiness last night. I need to loose about 50 pounds and feel like it's so far from my grasp but I want to feel good about myself and be able to look in a mirror without gasping and wondering why I did this to myself!!
I am so happy for all of you which have lost so much weight! You are all inspiring to me! |

Deb328g,
No bother, that is what this blog is for! I am only on day 18, so there are plenty of others who can give you more help. From me, I can tell you it gets easier once you get through week 1. I have only had two weigh ins, and am down 11lbs. Doesn't seem like a lot, but it actually is for the time period. This whole message board is about how to go thru this, ideas to help, and support abounds! I did some research and read the boards for about two weeks before I joined. Keep reading, you will find the source of your inspiration here. If you are particularly hungry, chicken broth (read the newbie threads for the right kinds) can help. Powerade zero and crystal light hydration have been very helpful to me to keep fatigue away. Eat small amts regularly and stay hydrated. Keep your focus on the desired result, not on the food you are missing. These are things that help me. You can do this, it is in your power to succeed! |

I am in day 6 of week one and I am feeling awful. I honestly felt great up until day 4. I woke up feeling very fatigued to the point that I called in sick to work and went and got the second MIC. I have spent most of the weekend at home. I actually slept until 1. I have been eating regularly, drinking lots of water and powerade zero. I am feeling jittery, nauseated and extremely tired. I’m having a hard time convincing myself to stick it out. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to push through the next 3 days?

so sorry you're feeling this bad BUT I was the same way BUT I pushed through it knowing what the final outcome was going to be If I were you, I'd get some chicken broth and start drinking it. The electrolytes in it will help with the nausea.Continue to get lots of sleep and remember, all this too shall pass!!! It took me a month before I felt like myself But,by then, I'd lost 20lbs!!!Not everyone responds the same to this WOE, so do what you feel is necessary to keep you feeling good! You could also try the sublingual vit B, it will help with your energy levels. You cannot overdose on B vitamins so it will not hurt you. Hope this helps!! cindy |

I'm on day 2 today as well. Yesterday was pure hell for me but I feel better today. I have dizziness and fatigue but the massive hunger I had yesterday is a lot better today. I don't know if we can have it or not but I got desperate last night and broke out a pack of sugar free gum. It helped me a lot!! |

The appetite suppresant is probably responsible for most of the jittery feeling. That will get better.

My clinic told me I could have the sugar-free gum. I haven't tried it yet - but I think it's worth a trip to the store to get some. This morning I woke up and feel 'so-so'. A little shakey still. Day 3 - BRING IT ON!!

CCCOX- I am not able to take their vitamins. They make me have horrible stomach problems. If you had a multivitamin that you took before Medi, then take the bottle in to the clinic and ask if it's OK. If it's not, ask them what you need to look for and explain that the vitamin they provide is too hard on your stomach. There are lots of other vitamins out there, so just make sure you're going to be getting all the nutrients you need if you purchase a different brand.
