Jerry-Let me preface this with, I am not suggesting insurance fraud. I am suggesting working with your doctor to see if there is some ongoing discomfort, back, leg, neck pain issue that would be relieved by the surgery. For example, women with large breasts can get a breast reduction covered by insurance due to the problems they are having from the weight of their breasts. Anyway, it's just a thought..Getting all of it covered is out but some of it because it is creating other issues..maybe. Good luck!! You've done such an outstanding job of taking it off, you deserve to finish it off! El

I figure I will continue to try to lose until I have the surgerys which will happen, maybe, sometime in 2010. Thought I was going to use my flex plan for it but just found out it doesn't cover cosmetic surgery! So, it all has to come from out-of-pocket! It will happen though, eventually! I will not consider it done until it happens! I gotta finish the job!

Shopping for cute clothes is the best part if losing this weight! I mean, I live in Florida, so a new winter coat isn't exactly a neccesity, but I've been wanting a cute little peacoat and so, why not!

Congrats to all of this months losers! Thanks for all the kind comments. I do like to decorate for the holidays as my anniversary and birthday both fall in there too. I love the weather, the spirit, the social gatherings, the music, visiting family, gift giving and just about everything about the season.
Hi Susie,
I cant believe I lost that much this month! Thank you for your encouragement, because without it I would have probably just gotten depressed and returned to old habits. Everyone's personal experience here helps me everyday. Congratulations to everyone - every pound lost is a victory and a step further towards better health.

Sarai,

You are such a big winner in my book. Please stay strong during the holidays. These days are the make it or break it days. Focus on the company, conversation, decorations, and the spirit. Prepare so that you always have something that you can enjoy. I am so proud of you! We can enjoy and love the holidays without overindulging. Your present to yourself will be a smaller and better you!

good job Ashley!
I just had my weigh in today and have managed to gain 2lbs! I am hoping it was muscle gain since my fat percent is only 1.2% above the scales "desirable range" Also my fat weight was down 4 pounds. so here is hoping even though I am disappointed. They did put me on the 800 calorie a day wellness phase which i must admit sounds confusing. Believe it or not I have missed my daily oats! but will not try eating them just yet. hopefully I will feel better when I exercise now.

Thanks Shannon.. You will be there really soon too! HUGS!

Thanks Nick~ being down 4 lbs of fat is awesome. They just changed my intake to more due to my training. I can have 1 starch a day now.. Why does this scare me? LOL! My husband misses his oats as well.. and his shreaded wheat.. congrats on your loss.. that is awesome!

Hi everyone

I have been MIA for awhile due to the ankle injury from October really sidelining me here at home. No working out at all, I am more then likely going to be having surgery after the first of the year to repair the damage. I have managed to stay strong even through a mini vacation Thanksgiving week and Thanksgiving dinner itself. I even managed to lose 2.5 pds that week I don't think I have ever managed to lose weight during any holiday period. It was an eye opener for sure. It really showed me that the holidays aren't a reason to slack off on any plan. You can still enjoy a meal with your family but remain true to yourself and lose at the same time. It was an awesome feeling.

I am down 42 pds now 13 wks in and I am more then happy and proud. I have a weigh in this Wednesday and I know I have lost alot this week because some things I wore last week are not even going to work this week. My clothes are so baggy and I can't bring myself to buy new ones because I know I will be out of those just as fast as these. It is so unreal. I LOVE this WOL.

Thanks to everyone once again who helped me out in those first early weeks. I really appreciate this forum and everyones support along the way. I hope to be back up and posting more in the near future.

Take care everyone! Congrats to everyone who continues to walk the walk!

Nick- I was put on the 800 cal plan today as well. They told me since I am so active and training for my Tri and running that this is the best plan for me to be on. The fact that I can eat 1 starch a day (medi approved) makes me a bit nervous. I posted about it over on the workout thread.

Sandra~ AWESOME.. congrats!

Marie~ It was SO cold.. so cold I almost threw up...eck! I have the thermal runnig shirts with the half hand covers. I was numb.. I am running at the gym tomorrow..

Hi everyone! Went for my 7th week weigh in and had a loss of 3.2 pounds (all fat). I have lost a total of 28 lbs. in seven weeks! I cant deny that I have had weak moments, but I wont give up. Everytime I fall - I will get right back up. I can jog for a mile and not feel like Im dying after two minutes. I see my face changing and finally I can start wearing clothes that I havent worn in almost three years. In another 12lbs I will be weighing the least that I have weighed in the last 12 years. I am sooooo excited.

I know...I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I wear a size 6!!! It is so strange! I haven't been a size 6 since my early days of high school. The smallest I remember being in high school was a size 9!!

Thanks for the support!

I whined on this board the first week in November because I only lost 5 pounds the first week. Thanks to your encouragement, I stuck with it. Now I am down 16.9 pounds in one month! Three weeks into this, they measured my waist and I lost 3 1/2 inches off my waist. If you told me these stats when I started, I would have thought you were out of your mind! What a great program with great support!

Sarai.. great work!!!!
Danika, how exciting.. I cant wait to see it!!

Everyone is right... this program is almost like having "the magic pill" it works so fast there really isnt time to get discouraged! I have never been on a program where Ive lost weight this fast or havent waited for weigh in day so I could "treat" myself to a binge for doing so well.. kind of self defeating i know.. but thats the way it was... its been 7 weeks and I havent gone off plan at all.. I just dont have the desire to... now Christmas will be my true test.. we re headed home to NY where all my favorite foods are.. but my daughter and I are making a plan to stay on track.. heres hoping!

I hit 80 pounds lost today! I am thrilled and wanted to share some before and "nows" (since I am not done yet). I started this journey thinking it would be just another diet that I try and don't stick to. I think the quick loss at the beginning along with the support from the clininc really helped me stick to it! My family and friends have been incredibly supportive and I am just so happy with this WOL/WOE.

I started at a size 24W and now at a 12/14 petite (YAHOO for shopping at Ann Taylor now!). I can run a 5K, do Yoga and chase my daughter around for hours which is great! I am 5 feet tall so still have a way to go but I am getting there!

Thanks to all the people on this board! It is a great resource for support, tips and recipes! Now time to get through the holidays and lose these last 40 pounds!
