Went in for my weigh-in last night. Lost 3 more lbs! And this may be tmi, but ladies I think you understand- it was my 1st day of that tom so my water was up 1.5lbs. So I actually lost 4.5lbs of fat! Can't wait to be in the 170s. I am now back to my pre-college weight!

I have lost 43lbs in 11 weeks! I am so happy with this WOE One of my mini goals is to be down 50lbs by Christmas, now I think I can make it!

Real Newbie

Hey Team! This BB is awsome! Just started on Wednesday. Most would probably wait until after Turkeyday but I figure if I can survive the biggest food challenge of the year I will be well poised for serious weight loss! Anyhow...you guys are truely inspirational. Few questions for the pros...
Does Vitamin Water 10 count as hydration if you count the points or does it have to be pure water?
Any known health problems when you come down off these AS things...anything this good has got to cause a slew of problems : ) you know like commercials about the drugs that will cure you nail fungus but the side affects are deep depression suiside and maybe toe cancer : 0

Jessica & Bre - Congrats!!! So happy for you!!!

Weighed in today and lost 5.6...down 75 total (and a new avatar!)! I was very excited and proud as the past few weeks have been full of travel for work and just a whole load of stress. I am 4 pounds away from my mini goal of 170 by Nov 29 (my 30th b-day). I know I will get there!

Keep up the good work all and have a good weekend!

Nomorerolls -the problem with Vitamin Water 10 is that it has a lot of carbs. Kicked me right out of ketosis. I would suggest going with something that has no carbs, as well and it can definitely count as your water intake. Vitarain from Costco is a good one, and Safeway also has a good one. I pour a little for flavor into my water all day long to get rid of the boredom...
Jessica - and Bre - great job! You are doing amazing!

We had our "fajita night" potluck last night and it was great! I made fresh guacamole (avocado, tomato, onion, cilantro, spices) that was very healthy and I had a few bites of it. Everyone scarfed it down and literally scraped the bowl clean. I also made a warm Velveeta/Rotel dip that obviously I did not have, although I probably could have had a few teaspoons for a taste. But that's not a temptation food for me, so not worth the calories. I took chips for those who eat them and cut up celery for those who don't so we could all enojy the appetizers.

I was able to easily make a salad with lettuce, grilled chicken, sauteed onions & peppers, low fat shredded cheese, my guacamole, and tomato and it was excellent! The only thing I didn't have at all was the huge cheesecake that they had for dessert.

It is completely, 100 % possible to eat well, eat socially, and still be Medi-compliant without feeling odd on this WOE

Sorry if this has been asked before, but does anyone know if Spiru-Tein protein shakes are OK on the plan?

I just started my second week. 12 pounds down in the first. yay! I am a little confused about the veggie servings though. My packet says "two cups of salad, two cups of vegetables, or one cup of vegetables and one cup fruit per day." I'm assuming this means two cups of salad OR two cups of vegetables, or does it mean I can have two cups salad plus two cups of veggies? I'd call my clinic today but they're closed till Monday night!

My clinic recommended Powerade Zero, which has no calories, carbs, or sugar. It comes in strawberry, mixed berry, and grape flavors and I love it! And it does count towards your total water intake for the day. They also suggested Crystal Light "On The Go" Hydration that you mix up yourself.

I just wanted to let you know that I salute your decision to start now. Many might tell you to wait, but I did the same as you last year. I started a week before Thanksgiving, was oober motivated and lost 25 pounds over the holiday season, where I normally would have gained at least 10 pounds. In June I reached goal, having lost over 60 pounds. You can do this and your willingness to start now tells me you are committed. Please check out the newbie thread and after week 1 check out the recipes.

Good luck and please post your successes and challenges.

Has anyone had a week where they followed the plan perfectly but didn't lose any weight? I have a feeling that's going to happen to me this week. I peeked at my scale this morning and it doesn't show any loss...yeah I know they're inaccurate but I'm neurotic and had to look...

Hi, I am on day 5 of medi-loss and finally starting to feel like I might actually make it through this week . I have to say that the first few days were rough for me and I wasnt
sure if I had made a mistake trying this plan, however I hung in there and I am glad I did. I will have my first weigh in on Wednesday and I am very excited to see the results, I havent cheated and have followed everything to the tee. God , I hope it shows.
I have read this message board back and forth , and I'm really glad to have found such a great group of people on this thread ,you are all very inspirational. Thanks for the tips. Wish me luck !!!

Hi huggyface - there are certainly slower weeks. Sometimes it is just your body catching up = sometimes it's because you ate something that your body didn't like, even if it is an approved food. This is a great time to look at your food journal and see if you changed anything up. The most important thing is to keep going...
FYI - I weigh myself everyday. Some people can't do it but it holds me accountable. After coming from where I came -and having my head in the clouds about how I gained all that weight - I am not leaving anything to chance...
You can do this - and it will happen for you!

huggyface~ Yes, last week I did loose any numbers on the scale, but I still lost 4 pounds of fat. So, you numbers can be more clear once they weigh you..

Missyd~Good luck.. you will do great!
