Is sugar free chewing gum allowed in the first week , also is a chicken bouillion cube allowed week 1 . I'm still trying to manuever my way way this diet and I am unsure about a few things . Does it matter if you dont take the appetite suppressants ,they make me a little mean and I was wondering if this happens to any one else. Thank you, missy

Yes, as far as I can recall sugar free gum is okay the first week.

I dont take the appetite Suppressants. I have been losing fine without them and able to control my eatting as well..

Yeah, and it's a drag. I'm following it fanatically but my losses have been slower for various reasons. The second week I was in "starvation" mode because of my level of activity. (I guess nobody noticed on my intake forms that I play tennis 3-4 times a week.) A couple of good losses, then gained .4 pounds last week, but lost 1.8 pounds of fat. I'm seeing results, but they're slow because I don't have as far to go. It IS discouraging, but I have 2 friends who have lost a lot, so that's motivation to continue.

huggyface- I have had 1 week when I only lost .2 pounds, but I have always had a loss, every single week. Hang in there and try not to obsess too much! Drink your water and make sure you are watching your salt intake so that you don't retain.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting different supplements? I am running low and would rather try to get ones that cost a little less than at the Medi clinic. I saw earlier in the thread that Mega T is a good one for the Fat Burner. Any other suggestions? What about for the Vita Super? Can I just get any multi vitamin?

Rochelle,
It seems many of the clinics (including mine) replenish the vitamins free of charge. I purchase all of the other supplements on my own though in an effort to minimize the costs of the program.

I use the Mega T Fat Burner (from Costco), Calcium (from Costco), Omega 3 (costco), and Vita Super (this is included in the acute phase at my clinic).

I used the MegaT but was not able to continue it because it has a mineral that interefered with my thyroid medicine (that I take at the same time). No problem in terms of the diet, though!

Good Evening...I allowed someone to take me out of my Medi-zone...I have been doing so well...so for the last 5 hours...I have broken all the Medi guidelines...I am posting this only to be held accountable to the commitment that I made to myself...interesting enough...today I was able to stand up for myself...I finally cut off a business relationship that has been toxic to my professional and personal life...I am extremely sensitive and was bothered by having to hurt someones feeling...WOW...the light just went off...I just punished myself for the last 5 hours for hurting someones feelings...I am sure this has played a role in my weight gain in the past...okay...now that I know why I just sabotaged my program...I am going to get up in the morning...God Willing...get back in ketosis and loss some more fat...well on a brighter note I did lose 150 pounds today by eliminating some unwanted stress...my son has always told me that me being sensitive can be good and bad...Good because I care about others feelings...but Bad because I get my feeling hurt easily...

...so if there is something weighing you down...Pray that God removes it out of your heart...God Bless

Thank you! I will check with my clinic to see if they replenish them, but if not I will try BJ's or Sam's Clus (we don't have costco here). Thank you for the suggestions!!!

WTG Mallory!

My husband's stepmother passed away yesterday, so I will be going to California with him tomorrow morning. I don't know if there will be internet available, so I might not be checking in for a while. Good luck to all of you in my absence.

Lost 3.8 this week. Looks like it was all water though on the tanita read out. I think last weeks figures were off though...

I,too, will be away for a bit. My wife's sister passed away last night. She had just told me, last Saturday, that she had lost 42+ pounds in the last 3 months and was wanting to do something for me since I had inspired her to do this! At 42, she left far too early! We will miss her!

Jerry and Susie- so sorry to hear of your losses.. you are in my thoughts!

Everyone's weight loss is going in the right direction! that is so awesome! I weighed in today and only lost 2 lbs but i think it is because of TOM approaching. I am excited to add in veggies this week but i will hold off on fruits since i am nervous about all the sugar! Do we have a thread where people can put what they ate for the day? I am looking for new meal ideas!
way to go everyone
love

Monica,

From your profile you are half way there - and you did it with somebody trying to sabotage your progress. Removing the negative influence will make the next half even easier!

Hi Everyone!
I cant believe I made it through to week four. We had our office Thanksgiving party and I did not feel tempted - I still cant believe it! I know it wont always be this easy, but I will take joy in this small victory.

I also had my week four weigh-in and couldnt believe when the scale said I had lost 5 lbs. this week! This makes a total of 20 pounds in 28 days. I can actually feel like I can do this and you guys have been great support! Your achievements give me strength - thanks

Sarai
