I created this thread in hopes that this will help keep the monthly thread more clean. I think there are SO MANY new people and new posts that some important people and threads are getting buried and NO ONE should feel that their success isn't important!

So let's get this party started - you KNOW I can chat with the best of them!!!!

I'm going to Costco today to find the Laughing Cow cheeses and have 2 questions:

1. What flavors are the best?
2. Is there anything else I should look for at Costco that's either great for the diet or a great deal? I love their boneless, skinless chicken breast and tenders packs so I know I'm getting those, but is there any other great deal to be had there?

I was also wondering what do you typically order from Netrition.com? I ordered a bunch of stuff and will definitely provide reviews once it gets here!

I'm most excited about the PB2 and the BBQ sauce!

The lite swiss is definitely my fav and I buy it at Costco also. I also like the light french onoin.

I buy all my chicken there. There are also frozen chicken burgers there that I buy and keep on hand if I need a quick meal. There are 200 calories in each one. Oh and I sometimes but fruits and veggies there but that is when I split them with someone since the quantity is large and they would go bad if I didn't share! Have fun!

Oh my gosh Tracy! I am so proud of you!

I have a recipe for a brie snack in the threads above. I get the brie from Costco.

Thanks QCD for starting this thread... I agree that the other threads were difficult to find answers to common Q&A's.

I the garlic and herb cheese. One of those and I feel like I've had something sinful. I like to dice one up into a scrambled egg or carton of Eggbeaters. Also, they have small cubes in a box, but they are very hard to find where I live. When I come across them, I get 4 or 5 boxes. I think 5 small cubes is about 75 calories, so they are good when you are needing just a little bit more protein.

Hope you find one you like!

I second the l/f garlic and herb Laughing Cow Cheese. I buy them at my local supermarket in the 'wheel-like' container (it's a circle and has 8 individually wrapped wedges)... Each wedge is 35cal and I like to spread it on my turkey sausage patties in the morning or melt one into some fajita style grilled chicken w/ onions for lunch or dinner. Hope you find them and ENJOY!

I asked this on the October thread, but I'm not sure what's the best way to get an answer...What do you do with SF Davinci Syrup and what's the best flavor? I found almond, coconut, carmel, hazelnut & Irish creme. I bought chocolate, but I'm getting more if I can figure out what to do with them.

TIA,
Sharon

about 10 mins a mile. 5k is 3.1 miles :-) already signed up for another one at Disney in March. My two teenage boys said this next time they are going to beat me!! (Imagine their embarrassment when I beat them both by 5 minutes and 8 minutes!!)

Tracy, WWWWWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

You are my ABSOLUTE HERO FOR THE DAY! Congratulations! I want to jump up and down, clapping and cheering for you! This will have to do:
:c lap::cla p:

That's EXACTLY where I want to be. In fact, running a 5K with a respectable time was my very first goal, even before I decided to lose this weight. So you are at the very top of my list right now! That's fabulous and I can't say it enough! I'm SO proud of you!!!!

That TOTALLY made me hungry! It sounds sooooo good! We didn't make it to Costco this weekend but I checked in another grocery store here and they don't have it. I keep saying I'm going to go to Trader Joe's, but I forget! We have got so much going on this week with Halloween, my Brother-in-law's wedding, AND a funeral - all of which we have to travel for. So I'm just not with it! I keep saying if all else fails, I'll get it next week!!! Thanks for the great suggestions!

By the way - is anyone a little nervous about Halloween or is it just me? Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and it will be so hard to resist all of that candy! We thought about taking the kids to Busch Gardens instead of trick-or-treating (which they are getting too old for anyway), but I'm not sure if that will help.

I'm also REALLY missing our tradition of dipping apples every fall. We always make all different types along with carving pumpkins. Luckily this fall we've been so busy with my son's football schedule that we haven't had time, but I don't want to miss our tradition all together this year! I'm trying to come up with a way to do that with the kids AND stay on plan. Suggestions?

I've wondered the same thing! I like Tracy's suggestion about adding it to your shake, but I'm drinking the EAS ready to go shakes... I look forward to hearing what else people use them for!

For anyone interested, there is a new Challenge thread for MWLC members on the Challenge board. It's open to all Medi users and it's just an additional way for us to keep each other on-track. It's totally optional, but if you feel like you need some additional accountability, feel free to join us!

Check it out HERE.

I hope to see you there!

You may already know this but if you go to laughingcow.com you can put in your zip code and get a list of stores in your area that carry the products.
You sure do have a full schedule this week! I'm sorry about you loss. I've discovered that getting through the stressful or abnormal days/weeks (special events, holiday's, etc. ) really renews your confidence. So just focus on staying committed and by the end of it all you'll feel like you climbed a mountain and can accomplish anything! GOOD LUCK and HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Running together would be AWESOME and doing it at Disney would be even better! I am a Disney fanatic, so I just might make that a goal. A Disney trip in March sounds like a WONDERFUL reward for all of my hard work! I'll definitely keep that in mind - it would be so cool to run with you (if I could keep up)!

I love Halloween too, but Im not nervous, Im prepared!! Water, water, water... and my man constantly reminding me what this plan is costing us! LOL! He cracks me up.

As yourself this: is that twix, hershey bar, reeses cup, etc worth $300?? (we rounded up to make it more dramatic)... LOL!

I look at food now and see $$$ and that alone is a great motivator!

If money doesnt work for you, ask yourself if you'll do another hour of an aerobic excersice for that tiny piece of chocolate... for every bite size candy, there's an hour of cardio waiting for you!

This Halloween is all about my child. He only gets as much candy as the distance he can walk. It won't be far. We will toss the candy with PB in it since he is allergic. We will be going to a party that night (which I am a pro at handling now it seems-YAY) and that means we won't be handing out candy.

I am not worried at all this year (thankfully), but I need to stay on gaurd and be prepared with my snacks, as always!
