Robyn-First, your new picture is wonderful and you've made such tremendous progress so far! I understand your frustration with your current stall. I'm sure you've done some checking online but here's a blog I found that might help.
5 Ways to Break a Weight Loss Plateau

Beyond that, I have no great words of wisdom. You've done awesome so far and you will complete this journey as a BIG loser! Hang in there! El

QUOTE=crobyninc;12610156]No the clinic is at a loss as well... And yes I exercise a lot. I walk 3 miles in 45 minutes 5 days a week with 50 sit ups and I added last week the Jillian Michaels Shred 5 days a week as well. I take 1 day off a week. So excercise is not an issue and I have changed it up as well. I have an appointment to have thyroid tests done in 10 days, I suspect I have issues there. Just very frustrating.[/QUOTE]

Freshroses...were you the young lady I spoke with at the clinic? If so, nice to meet ya and welcome to the BEST support group on the net!

Good Evening...No, Jerry when I saw you at the clinic...I could not get a word out...besides you were talking and I did not want to interrupt...however...seeing you made this real for me...Have a wonderful week...God Bless

What an excellent suggestion from your fabulous, supportive spouse! Your avatar tells a great success story. You can see such a transformation of your body - and along with that a transformation to vibrant health and personality. It shines through in this most recent photo like it could not in the earlier ones.
It sometimes takes others to show us how far we've come. And you did all this with MEDI. So even though you've stalled for 3 weeks, I'm glad you're giving them the chance to help you get the needle moving again. I'm sure that at this point, if they haven't already, your clinic is consulting with other experts at corporate to find out what the plan should be. This has to have happened before - and, this too shall pass!
Hang in there, Robyn - I join everyone else in sending support and prayers your way. No one deserves it more than you!
-Jane

Yay Jerry! I can't believe you only have 23 more lbs to go! That's incredible!

Can anyone tell me what their daily fat gram intake is?

Robyn..your new pix really does show a difference.. I know plateaus bite the big one, and that most of us are really concerned about the numbers from the scale... but truly, it's how you feel and look that really matter.. and you are obviously feeling healthy since you are so active and you are looking better... Keep your spirit up... it will happen.

I am new to the program only on day 2.
Its a great motivation seeing all you guys who have suceeded and be able to tell the program works.
From reading post it sounds like week one is the toughest and then it get easier after that.
Not a big veggie person but I am already looking forward to getting to have veggies in week two.

Robyn- You look fantastic! I am glad your super awesome hubby recommended the new avi You have been so wonderful with all your encouraging words around here and I adore you for that.

Jerry- Once again Fabulous. There are just no words.

to all the newbies as well! I feel soo lost. I have been down and out with a freak 1AM backpack on floor ankle injury and relying on others to feed me correctly as I am trying to recoup in bed. Not working so well , so I have taken matters into my own trusty hands once again but it is hard to stand and cook when my ankle is not cooperating. This is one week I WISH like I heck I would have done my Sunday pre-weekly cooking of proteins like I usually do. It would have come in very handy.

I did weigh in this week and lost 3 more pds for a total of 24.6 pds in 6 wks. My goal was to lose 20 pds by the U2 concert I went to on Monday and I made that plus a little extra. My next mini goal is another 20 by Thanksgiving.

I am still struggling with recipes. I have read the recipe forum over and over again but I just can't wrap my head around the counting etc for each. I am going to have a heart to heart with my clinic on Monday.

Michelle

Michelle,

I'm not really sure what you are struggling with on the recipes. Tell us which recipe you would like to make and the serving size you are planning on having and we will tell you exactly how to count it. Hang in there. Sickness and injuries can be a set back, but you seem determined to make this work. I can tell you from experience it is so worth it to hang in there.

I just wanted to share with you guys that I made my first Medi recipe today and I'm SO EXCITED about it! Of course, my first recipe was the Medi Gummies! I've been excited about those ever since the first day! I'm a snacker and in my former life I was a poptart, fruit snack, junk food eater. I have been struggling with the idea of having to give that up, but today I realized that I can still snack now and then, I just need to be smart about it! I was so tickled about the gummies - I wanted to run to Hobby Lobby for some molds to make them in cute shapes and everything!!! THANK YOU, ORLANDO2002!

1 down, many more to try!!! I'm loving the Medi life!!!

I know this should be in the recipe thread but I wanted to be sure this awesome breakfast option was not missed.

Perfect 1-Minute Muffins
1/4 cup flaxmeal
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp granular Splenda (I like the brown sugar splenda instead)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
dash salt
a few drops of vanilla
1 level tbsp sour cream

In a small bowl combine all ingredients with some water to make it an oatmeal like consistency.. Beat it up the best that you can, until you get as many lumps out as possible. Since there isn't any gluten in this muffin, overhandling the batter won't toughen it any. It'll just make it lighter. Spray a single-serving casserole with non-stick spray, then dump in the batter & pop it in the microwave. Nuke for 1 minute. Let it sit for a minute or so and then use a rubber spatula and loosen up around the edges and scoop out. Allow it to cool down & air-dry for a couple of minutes. Then slice it into 2 or 3 slices, depending upon how thick you want your bread..mine come out flat. Calories are 145 for the whole batch but I split into 2 servings and top with PB or preserves etc.

You can tinker with the spices to get it to your liking.

I actually chose to double the batch and baked 6 muffins out of the batch for about 15 min at 350. Play around a bit and customize it but I LOVE my breakfast now!

THis has been the best breakfast solution to me.

I posted this on the recipe thread to but thought it was so good I didn't want someone to miss it.

Enjoy-- Laurie

I found it in the regular grocery store but in the health food aisle with other baking alternatives/organic pancake mixes etc.
