Hi there! I take the B12 sublingual every day along with the B6 (and the innumerable other herbals/vits and supplements I take every day), and get the shots every week when possible (they are included in my monthly fee) and of course, on my monthly maintenance visit.

Actually, at this point I am focusing on miles vs time. Eventually I would like to be able to do a 10k (6.1 miles) in less than an hour (9-10 minute mile). Here is another picture that tells a story!

I just had my 3rd visit. I only lost 2 Pounds but all of it was Fat. I did also start a heavy boot camp style excersie that week (P90X). So I'm wondering the 2lb fat I lost was due to excersie only? I have been in large Ketosis at all time. I have not gone over my 700 cals and 2 cup veggies a day and I have not cheated at all. I'm on day 20 and overall results so far are:

lost 14 lbs bmi from 29.4 to 27.6 and fat from 54.51 to 50

What do you all think?

Andy

WOW...I just stumbled across this site. Sure is a lot of positive info to be found. I started Medi on May 19 at 375lbs.....today I weighed in at 272lbs..I am 6'4" and my goal is 220lbs...I had hoped for a pound-a-day loss from 375 to 250lbs but had 4 different weigh-ins at only a 2-3lbs loss for the week. Today was only 2.6lb loss for the week. Seems my body water mass fluctuates....but the loss is still satisfactory...103lbs down and 52lbs to go

Do you have the tanita scale print outs? You could look at the FFM (Fat Free Mass) and subtract out the TBW (Total Body Water - which would be included in the FFM) for this week and last week and see if the amount went up.

Update Time! Well, I'm sure that you are all hanging on the edge of your seats just waiting to hear how my weekend at my MIL's went ..... so here is the scoop:

IT WAS GREAT! I stayed on plan with NO PROBLEMS!!!! I survived the temptation of pizza, cake, McDonald's, KRISPY KREME (the hot & now sign was on - OY VEY), fried chicken, and even freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! I FREAKIN ROCK!

I checked in here several times over the weekend and wanted to thank all of you for your advice! I still feel INCREDIBLY SICK of meat, so any ideas or hints on that are appreciated! I loved the suggestion of ground turkey in taco seasoning and I'm going to do the same thing with some Asian seasoning in a LETTUCE WRAP tomorrow!!! WHEW I'm so excited about starting week 2!

I did feel tired this weekend and grouchy as all get out . I swear I can feel my body attacking this fat because my stomach feels constantly different - it's not good, it's not bad, it's not hungry, it's just different somehow. I've been in Large Ketosis even though they said shoot for medium - not sure what that means. I'm definitely going to discuss these calories because I've only hit my mark 2 out of 6 days so far. I think it'll be easier with the introduction of veggies this week. I just couldn't eat another thing somedays! And most of all, we've got to figure these pills out. I just can NOT keep taking all of these supplements. I'd rather come in for a daily shot than swallow all of these pills... it's killing me. Yesterday I didn't take a single thing and I felt fine. But between the AS, the fat burner, and the vitamin - it's TOO MUCH! I get really anxious when I have to swallow a pill and I'm just sick of that. There have got to be some alternatives, so I'm going to ask tonight!

Thank you all a billion times - I feel like I have my own cheering section here rooting me on! I'll let you know my stats tonight!

Great job resisting all of the temptations! The Krispy Kreme temptation REALLY sounded good to me! The NP at my clinic said that the reason you don't want to show in large ketosis is because that means that you're not drinking enough water...you can ask your clinic about it when you go later! Looking forward to hearing how you did!

Hey all!! Lots of great weight loss out there and so many new people. Saw a lot of new faces at the clinic this morning too!!

Lost 2.8 lbs and 3.2 lbs of FAT! I officially hit my goal this week!! YES!!! And am joining those "losers" over in maintenance! Expect to see the rest of you over there. Just stick to it and know that those 2 and 3 pound losses really do add up to a big "loss/win" in the end!

Not too shabby

I'll admit it, the first week was alot tougher than I expected. As a veteran dieter, I have to say...it was completely worth it. Almost 10 pounds in a week...I'll take it!!!

WOW! I love all the newbies and all the posts!!! It just took a while to catch up...I really love hearing about everyone's success and struggles. Reminds me I have so many "partners" on this journey! I love all the new Charlotte, NC people too! How

I just got back last night from NJ...it was a long weekend with a whole lot of driving (and eating on the road) but my 2 year old was an adorable flower girl and I really loved wearing my new size 14 dress! My extended family had not seen me since last year and were SO excited for me! It was great to see all them too and told them next time they see me I will be even smaller and healthier!

Jerry - congrats on the mile! That is so awesome and such an accomplishment!

To all the other "losers" - congrats! Keep up the great work!!!

To the newbies....I saw some posts on what to eat week 1 and being tired of meat! I don't blame you on that! Some things I ate the first week (and please keep in mind all of these were ok'd by the clinic I go to in Charlotte but some other clinics may say no. I was able to eat any type of low fat cheese so I ate lite Laughing Cow and low fat string cheese, Fage 0% Greek yogurt (I highly recommend putting a packet of Spenda or Truvia in there). Fage is not like "regular" yogurt but packed with protein and now I love it! I also ate eggs (egg-lands best because of the Omega3), egg whites, Chicken Sausage (I buy the Al Fresco brand from Harris Teeter), turkey burgers with a slice of reduced fat cheese and grilled chicken with Mrs. Dash (there is no salt in those). Like Susie, I too treated myself to a filet steak...it was worth every penny! Actually, Harris Teeter puts whole beef tenderloins on sale for 6.99/pound about once a quarter. When they do I buy one as the butchers there will trim them and cut them into 3 ounce steaks for me. It is a great treat and worth it in my opinion. I really tried to stay away from deli meat as much as possible. I do eat it about once a week but it has more sodium that I prefer. I also always have EAS Carb Control on hand. They have 110 calories and lots of protein. I have one at least 3-4 times per week. Like many of you my life is very hectic and always on the go with work and kids etc so I use these and have from week 1. Also, about the water....it is tough for me to get 1 gallon a day in...but I do. I use a water bottle that is 25 ounces and just spread them out throughout the day. For example, I won't get out of my car at work in the morning unless I have finished a full one and then by lunch I make sure to drink another, 25 more ounces in the afternoon and then 25 more on my drive home. Have mini goals like that make it easier for me.

Those are just my food/drink idea ramblings...hope they help!

Hi everyone! Great losses in here...Very exciting Amber and Shanlock! WOW girls! Great pic Jerry! I am proud of you for running. A mile into my run yesterday, I got tears in my eyes and told my husband that I HATE running. I did 2 miles without stopping. And when I was done, I was like "I AM SO HAPPY I DID THAT!" I guess it's a love/hate relationship!

Kate....glad to hear about your 14 dress! awesome! The compliments must have felt so nice to hear!

Jennifer- I stopped taking the fat burner after the 2nd day, until I got to week 3. I told the clinic and they were supportive. It helped relieve the nausea. Now, I rarely take the AS, so my pills are very few (relatively). The thing my husband and I noticed after a couple weeks was how SMOOTH our skin had become. Vitamins are so good for you!

I am having fun at the beach! I went boogie boarding for the 1st time since I was about 13. Also, my in-laws want me to go parasailing and I verbally committed to doing so! I had to really, REALLY hold myself back from asking what the weight limit was. I know my weight can't hold me back now.

Do you happen to know how much B6 and B12 is recommended or comparable to the injections in the office?

I guess it's a love/hate relationship!

Oh I envy you! I wish I could build myself up to running. I have ALWAYS wanted to be able to run for exercise.
