Week 2 - Question - Bacon??
I am having trouble eating meat, even saute'd in no or low calorie marinades. Over the weekend I ate 3 stips of regulary center cut bacon and it was so good. I would like to add this into the diet to replace a meat meal. Is this ok or is it too much fat or other things???

It is not a low-fat food. The plan is low fat, low cal, low carb. I would do it on occasion, but not make it a regular food. How about a few slices of deli ham cooked on the griddle? You can get about 3.5 ounces of deli ham for 2 slices of bacon. The volume makes a huge difference for 120 cals.
Good luck! |

Hello and
to the group. Bring yourself and your question over to the main group thread for August and you will get a lot of responses. Adding additional threads such as this, you may find your question overlooked. The main thread for the month, the newbie thread, and the recipe threads are where the members go most often. Amazing August with Medi Weight Loss Also, please reread your materials about allowable foods. Bacon, such as you are describing is most definitely not allowed during the acute phase. You do not have any stats in your profile,so I have no idea what your current weight is, or how much you have to lose. But I can tell you this. You did not get to your current weight by making good food choices. This plan is a major lifestyle change. You must commit to it 100% to be successful. You are just getting started. Now is the time to make those important changes. It is not really about what you CANNOT have, it is about wise food choices that you CAN have. Each slice of bacon, such as you are describing, is 50 calories a slice with 4 grams of fat and 310 mg of sodium. So for what you ate, 150 calories, 12 grams of fat and 930 mg of sodium. That is so NOT worth it, in my eyes. Jo |

I was told no bacon.
But I am going to ask about Turkey Bacon. Does it taste real? If not, does it taste good?
