You could be confusing boredom with no appetite. My recommendation is to try some of the recipes. You will be pleasantly surprised out how good some of them are. I make something different every day. Yesterday I made eggs benedict using oopsie rolls as the base for brunch. For dinner I made the buffalo chicken and baked yellow squash. Both were delicous and very satisfying. Today I had fat free cottage cheese with 2 tsp of sugar free jam for breakfast, a miracle noodles and tuna caserole for lunch, and filet mignon and mushrooms for dinner.

Wow, what an inspiring group y'all are!
Hi, I'm new to this post. I'm cutting in mid-month because I definitely want to share in the support and great ideas circulated here. I started with MEDI on July 9th. My last weigh-in of July was on the 29th, at which point I had dropped 12.6 pounds in 20 days. Yippee!
Now, onward with the month of August. I look forward to getting to know you better as time goes by.

I went through a couple days like that this past week as well (I'm also in week 2). But I think Susie is right. I tried some new Acute Phase-friendly recipes and it kinda helped take me outta the "funk."

I don't know what you like, but I've made the oopsie rolls, which I thought are edible, the slow roasted pork, which was awesome, and the crustless pizza which was also fantabulous. Maybe try expiramenting a little and see if that helps.

Good luck with your weigh in! Mine is at noon today! Hoping for great results!

One pound away....

From changing my avatar to a 20 pound loss! My husband is supporting me and he has lost 16 pounds.

Welcome Longhorn....I started posting just a week ago!

From a health perspective, I just want to report that my husband says he hasn't heard me snoring , it's getting much easier to told my body weight up in a plank position in yoga, and my feet don't hurt quite as bad first thing in the AM.

From a food perspective, I just want to say I love the ranch parm chicken recipe, the creamsicle beverage recipe and a new one I just tried last night that was amazing..... Greek yogurt with a sprinkle of sugar free jello powder (any flavor, but I used cherry) and 2 tbsp of cool whip (sugar free). Mix and you get a Delicious mousse. You all should try it when you have the ingredients!

Thanks for the support. I feel great! My clinic is telling me to eat more protein! Last week, I went up to 550-600, and now, I am told to get a minimum of 600 up to about 625.

Robyn and Trimom,

Congrats on the loses! Robyn, you will be well past 70 pounds in no time. Trimom, it's great to have spousal support. My husband has lost around 20 pounds since I started just by supporting me. At first he was leary, but now is a firm believer. He asked me to get him back on the plan after our vacation in Italy.

Susie

P.S. This morning I was back to my pre-Italy weight. It didn't take long to get back on track.

Went for my week 2 weigh in today. Lost another 3 lbs. That makes 7 since starting officially on MWL, and 16 if you count the week I was on my own before that.

Good luck to everyone who will be weighing in later this week!

Hey Trimom

I noticed the same thing with the snoring! It's great that you are already noticing changes in your body, those little things keep us going. Do what the clinic tells you to do! You are doing awesome. Post some more recipes as you create them as we are all looking for new things to cook!

Have a great week!

Hello all! I'm quite embarassed to say that I am restarting (again) for the 2nd time today . I'm so embarassed in fact, that I haven't yet made my appointment to the clinic. Going all the way back to April, I had surpassed my goal weight, looked great, felt great, and then it happened....I went through a terrible breakup, bought a house and then ate all the wrong foods until I reached the point I'm at now...gained all the weight I lost (30+). I'm miserable. My clothes are tight again and I feel like such a failure! It seems like my will-power slipped away, but I am determined to get it back! Today was the start, unfortunately again, for losing all this fat and getting in shape. This message board definitely helpled me in the past so I look forward to chatting again with all of you. Have a great day!

Robyn- I know what you mean about those mini goals... It seems as soon as I realize that I'm close to reaching one I enter a time warp I've been this ' ' close to breaking into onerland for a few weeks now and just can seem to get there as quick as I would like. So- this will be the week for both of us to reach our mini-goal!!! Good Luck!

Frustration

Well, I went in to Medi this a.m. for my 2nd weigh-in. I was only down 1.4 lbs. Pretty frustrating & on top of that the Dr. made me cry. He asked me what I was doing & I told him I was eating my 500 calories of protein & then having Medi friendly snacks for an A.M. & P.M. snack. He told me that I wasn't was supposed to snack & that I should only eat 3 times a day. After working so hard following the diet & exercising, it was very upsetting to be fussed at when I still feel like I did nothing wrong. Another lady from the clinic ended up coming in to talk to me & she is a former patient and made me feel much better. She reviewed my numbers & said it looks like I am still retaining some water. I have also gained some muscle. She reviewed my labwork & found that my thyroid levels are off. Going to my general Dr. on Monday to get that looked into.

Anyway, I'm having the Slowcooker Pork tonight & have a grocery list ready to try & make my meals more interesting. Hoping for better results next week.

Don't get discouraged! You and I are just about at the same place. I started at 224, lost 13 lbs the first week but only 2 the next, I had to move my weigh in to today so I will see how I do after 5 days (out of town the rest of the week). I was also a little disappointed at my second weigh in, but I am following everything exactly and I am confident that the next week I will do good.
Clean eating and exercise is the key. We are paying a lot for this in an effort to get healthy and stay that way. If you are not getting the support you need at the clinic, know there are many here who are very supportive and helpful, you and I can both do this!!

~Carol
Carol,

I am on maintenance now, but during my weightloss journey, I often followed a big week with a small week. Someone said they had read that when you burn fat and empty your fat cells they fill up with water. This made sense to me as those weeks I had small loses, my water was up. I have been drinking the diet cranberry juice lately and it really helps with water retention. You might want to give that a try.

Good luck and don't get discouraged. You will get there!

I am back after a two week hiatus. Unfortunatly I was not able to weigh in last week due to very long work hours. But I did weigh in today and my total weight loss for week 5 and 6 is 4.6lbs. The last two day I feel like I have been starving, and I felt like I was not going to make it. But after today's weigh in I feel that I am back to being 100% commited to this program. Total weigt loss in almost 6weeks is 23.5lbs.
