Is there such thing as too much cottage cheese?

Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and just completed week 1 at medi-weightloss. I eat a single serving of cottage cheese twice or more daily and I was wondering if there was a limit on how much you can have due to the amount of carbs orr is it ok to eat as much as you want? I was told to include 1 cup of veggies this week and I noticed a lot of veggies have less carbs than cottage cheese. If anyone could answer it would be a great help. Thanks!

I was told no more than 1/2 cup a day. I eat cottage cheese once in a while with some cinnamon and splenda, like a cheese cake

Thank you! I guess this means I have to cut down Adding cinnamon and splenda sounds like a really good idea, I'll try that tomorrow!

Hello and

Come on over to the July thread and ask your question there. You will probably get far more response there than by starting another new thread. 20 grams of carbs is the usual amount per day for most of us. Also, the cottage cheese should be low fat or fat free.

Medi Weightloss July 2009 a Journey to Success

And here is another thread where you will find a lot of helpful tips even though you have completed week one.

Welcome Newbies! Helpful info for week 1.

And be sure to read all of the materials you were given when you had your initial visit. There is a great deal of helpful information to be found there.

Omg thank you! <3

I have (for some strange reason) always wanted to like cottage cheese. I tried it with a pinch of splenda and a few good sifts of cinnamon and my gosh it is pretty darn tasty

I sometimes add a tablespoon of strawberry 50/50 sugarfree jam. That is really good too.

A variation--

Try adding some s/f MAPLE SYRUP to your cottage cheese. Log Cabin brand is my preference. And, I bet, the Blueberry S/F Syrup would be good, too.

Oh my both of those sounds like scrumptious ideas! I couldn't even get through one spoonful, and I ate a half a cup today for snack .
