Back in the Saddle

A lurker, a sometimes poster
I posted last week about trying to do the plan without the AS. After trying and trying I made the decision to go back on the plan. With the AS I feel I learned a lot more about portion control and shrunk my stomach a bit which in turn helps you to eat correctly.

Glad/Sad to report when I went back that I was up 10.8 lbs. So it was the right decision to go back and I am glad that I did.

Thanks everyone for all the good info here!!

I weighed in yesterday and, down 1lb! 7.5 until goal!I cannot believe it! Getting dressed is a pleasure now, we all know how awful it feels to have nothing that fits! I must repeat myself by saying that you all have been so helpful in getting this far. It just is nice to have "company" in this journey, we are all dealing with this lifestyle change together. Congratulations to everyone this week! The sun is shining here today, so I need to take full advantage of it, going for a walk before it changes again!Have a great weekend!

~Silvia~ I do not eat much beef if any, so have not eaten hamburgers for over 10 years. But the oopsie rolls are good with turkey as well!

Silvia you look wonderful! Keep up the good work

An OOPSIE update:
I made some today and I set the oven at 350 and baked them for 18 minutes. They come out a bit drier but not crumbly. Also I used an ice cream scoop and that made perfect sized "bun". I have also been using a jelly roll pan and just pouring the batter in the pan and baking, then I cut into squares. I can't decide which way I like best!

Just had a pepperjack and turkey pepperoni sandwich - and they call this dieting!!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Well kids! Just weighed in and lost another 3 pounds since Tuesday! I was curious and called my family physician and asked them when was the last time I weighed this much. I began seeing them early in the year 1990 (almost 20 years ago!). I have never been this light with them! 161.5 pounds lost!

Lost 2.4lbs on WI today! That makes a total of 10lbs lost so far! So happy.

Something interesting I was told today. You can replace your one fruit serving with a glass of wine!

Hello everyone! I'm new to medi and this forum, but I'm glad I joined. I've lurked a little while before registering and yo guys seem to be extremely helpful and the tips are awesome!
It's my first week so I'm still not completely familiar with the program. I was wondering if it's normal to feel really exhausted during this stage even while taking the suppressants? I was told about the mid-week shot, but was never told if it is free or if there is a charge. Also, my DR didnt mention the protein shake at my last visit. Do you have to be further in the program to get the shakes? Thanks in advance!

Wow, 161.5 lbs!!! how long has it taken you to lose that much weight?

Congratulations to you. I know you must be over the moon.

How encouraging for those of us that have just started and feel like we have so much to go.

Can I ask your name?

It is normal to feel exhausted, even sick that first week. Hang in there because it gets better, I promise. All the answers to you questions can be found in the thread Welcome Newbies! Helpful info for week 1.. If after reading the thread you still have some questions please feel free to post.

Good luck with week 1,
Susie

Robyn,

Try a muffintop pan if you have one. They all come out the same size and perfect.

JStasinos - back. I'm sure you know what I am going to say... what is your first name?

Silvia - I love your new avatar and profile picture. And I love your positive attitude. I made the Medi gummies and they were great. One whole package worth is 100 calories, 0g carbs if you use the Royal sugarfree. I ate about 1/2 of the recipe. Today I bought I whole bunch of flavors so that I can try the rainbow.

Robyn - Thanks for the Oopsie tips. I will pass along any tips I find as well.

We are having a torrential downpour. I hope it stops raining soon.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

I went to my spin class this morning and this guy walked in that looked just like one of the twin brothers from season 4 of "The Biggest Loser". I don't know if you all remember that season, but it was the one with 3 teams and Jillian coached the black team. The twin brothers were on the black team. Bill Germanakos won ($250,000) amongst the final 3 ranch contestants and his twin brother, Jim won ($100,000) amongst the contestants who were sent home. So, I told the guy who he looked like and he said he was Jim Germanakos. What a trip! Here is a video about them... .

Wow, I have so much catching up to do. I hope I include everyone.

~JStasinos~Welcome back! Good to see you again! And your first name is .....?

~Jerry~ You are so totally amazing! I love your positive attitude, and it shows in how beautifully you are progressing! You are definitely our "King", and McBoo is our "Guru".

~Silvia~ What an adorable picture of you! So nice to put a name and a face with the posts!

~Gretta~ My gosh girl, you are so very close! WOW!!!

~McBoo~ Muffintop pan? Okay, where have I been that I have never heard of one much less seen one? Where do I go to get one? It sounds like it would be great for Susie's Cheesecakes Bites too...making them a bit larger for parties and such.

~Jessica~Hope you are feeling better. What a hassle you have been through lately! And still managing to lose and get the exercise in. I am proud of you, girl!

~Shas~ Once again I just have to say how wonderful you look! You have come so far!

~Susie~ That is pretty cool, meeting that BL winner! There were some twins from AZ on that show as well, however, I have never seen or met them. And just think, you did equally as well without the personal trainers and tv exposure.

We are really on track for a spectacular July!

Jo,

Here is a link where they have them on Amazon. I got mine way back when Seinfeld made them popular.

Maria, I felt the same way. The first 2 days were very hard. Then, I found myself eating around 7 PM all the calories I could not eat during the day.
I always plan my day, one day in advance, is the only way I found I can distribute evenly the 700 calories through the day.

You will love this program! As you can see, it works!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Have a great MEDI weekend!

Silvia
