~Layna~I have your June numbers. Thank you.

I will get the June numbers posted a bit later today.

Headed off to walk before it gets way too hot.

Did very well yesterday. Susie's cheescake was a major hit! Everyone just loved it! And the low cal Ambrosia disappeared completely as well. I brought my own little "picnic hamper" with my green beans and SF Jello. My friend Mike saved a chicken breast for me that was "naked" (no seasonings or marinade). He even weighed it to be sure it was not too big. What a guy!

Most of the people at the get together were all former co-workers of mine who have not seen me since January 26th. Two of them were not sure who I was....WOW! I have to say that it was quite nice to be literally bathed in compliments.

And they sure had a lot of questions about the program. To them, it appeared that the weight just "fell off". But I explained it only looked that way because they had not seen me for 6 months. A couple of them are coming over next week so I can explain the program in more detail. And the added bonus to the compliments was that I had no problem at all staying on program! They were all VERY interested in what I was eating!

Hope everyone had a great holiday!

~Ginny~ Glad to know some of our AZ sunshine finally made it all the way back East for you!

Gretta,

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm not sure if my TOM stopped because of this WOE or if it is my age. I was enjoying not having it. If it is related to my age, it is not uncommon to skip a few months than have it until you are finished menopause.

The fat burner I buy at Costco is made by the same company as in Costco - Green Tea Triple Fat Burner Plus Fiber Action Fat Burner Program tea fat burner&Mo=0&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&lang=en-US&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Sp=S&N=5000043&whse=BC&Dx=m ode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogNa me:BC&Ne=4000000&D=green tea fat burner&Ntt=green tea fat burner&No=0&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav= &s=1, but it is just a fat burner. The one in the link looks interesting though.

I think even my sister would agree with you now. Thanks for the compliment.

Re: Revol-Oopsie Rolls

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks Janet--been procrastinating! I have found these to be WONDERFUL and sooo useful.
some things I've used them for:

two of them with bacon and cheese or sausage and cheese--very like an "egg mcmuffin"

toatsed for a few seconds and eat with butter and cinnamon and splenda sprinkled on

fry briefly in palm oil or lard and sprinkle on some splenda--so close to a funnel cake as makes no never mind!

serve with maple syrup and it's french toast!

layer with whipped cream and/or pudding and it's a cream puff.

I mean SERIOUSLY this is a god send for me as they are less than one ECC per and fill in so many spots that I was missing on!

Jo,

I'm sure you were a hit at the bbq. You look amazing and have such a great attitude. I have started bringing Medi coupons with me when I attend events with "referred by Susie" written on them. I get bombarded with questions all the time, especially at the gym. My poor friend/workout buddy has got to be so tired of hearing about Medi.

so proud of myself for keeping it together yesterday at the picnic. Sooo many temptations and I dodged them all (ok, except for the wine) otherwise, I survived. Looking forward to my first WI Tues.

While wine sometimes weakens your ability to handle temptation, it is actually low in carbs, so as long as you didn't indulge after having the wine you probably did fine. Congrats on getting through a picnic while on week 1. That is a challenge and you passed.

Enjoy Spain.

All that great Seafood if you happen to me near the coast is a great thing.

The scale isn't moving

Layna-Same here! 9.8 lbs the first week. Tomorrow is my day 6 weigh in so I checked my scale this morning and I have not lost an ounce!! Frustated. My ketosis is the same as yours with no results. They do have me eating 700 calories and not 500 but I lost the 9.8 on 700...I'll be curious to hear what their suggestion is tomorrow! Hang in there! El

I need some advice guys. I am 4 days into my second week, I am sticking religiously with the program. I stepped on my own scale this morning, and I was not even down an ounce. I have been consistenly in ketosis (mod to lge). Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else? I would really appreciate input on this one.

~Macauley~ Have a wonderful trip! I know you will do very well incorporating the program into your travels. And I totally agree with McBoo about the seafood on the coast.

And thank you Susie and McBoo! I had a great time yesterday. Just got home way toooooo late though!

I am working on the June stats now and should have them up shortly!

Frustrating... isn't it? I finished up -3 on the day of my WI, but given the amount of effort and discipline, that seemed low for my 2nd week. And I could feel the difference (slowdown) without even stepping on the scale. Susie pointed out that she often had a low number after a big one.

I was at 500 cals. This week I am going to eat a little more (circa 700 cals) and eat more often, (every 3 hrs vs every 5 or 6). I think my body might have slipped into starvation mode and started hanging onto everything instead of burning. Let me know how it goes, and I will let you know how I make out with the "eat little more/more frequently) thing. Good luck.

Jo: Thank you very much for tabulating the June numbers. As this is my first month on this BB, I had not seen this before. Very helpful.

Jerry: Congrats on being biggest loser in June.

Kate & Amy: first and second runner up. Excellent job!

Rest of team: Way to go! This is a serious bunch of losers!

Best of luck for July to all of us who are in "lose" mode and continued success to all in maintenance.

You are all most welcome! It is a lot of fun to put the list together and see just how much weight we have lost as a group. In the last three months we have lost a combined total of 749.85 pounds. We are headed to 1000 pounds! If we lose 250.15 pounds as a group in July, we will have lost that 1000 pounds. And that would be AMAZING!

Re: Revol-Oopsie Rolls

-----------------------------------------------------

Hi Susie, I have a question for you, if you do not mind answering!

I tried the opssie rools and since I did not have the cream cheese, i used 1 egg and 1 1/2 edges of laughing cows - swiss light - and a pinch of cream of tartar (for 2 servings, I did not want to experiment with a whole batch and ruin them). They came out really good, savory and tasty, (I did not use splenda, I was looking for something salty instead of sweet) they were puffy but very soft. They did not crumbled when ate them, and the hold the ham very good, but as I said, they were very very soft.
When you make them with the cream cheese, do they come out very soft too? is there any way to make them crispier?

Even if they were soft, they were good dough! but since you are experiment, maybe you know how to get them crispiers ....

I left them 20 minutes in the oven. Maybe if I left them 30 minutes they will hard them a little bit?

Congratulation being in manteniance ..... you look great!

Thanks in advance

Silvia

Sylvia,

You may want to post this in the recipe comment and questions thread.
Medi Recipe Question And Comments

You will have a better chance of getting your response from that thread since it is devoted to just this situation. This main thread for the month gets a lot of posts and it may get buried.

Hi All,
been a while since i've posted... very happy reading everyone's success and the POSITIVE attitudes are amazing!
I've had to stop going to the clinic due to funding shortage (just bought a second home with fiance).
I've lost 20.5lbs since i started on may 11th and am almost to my goal weight!
my friends have finally stopped thinking i'm "eating wierd"
the weight is coming off slower than a lot of you, but i'm amazed at the perserverence you have when you have to lose over 100lbs!!!!

Sticky Threads

FYI

I happened to notice that someone tried to bump one of the sticky threads. There is no need to do this. They are sticky so that they stay at the top of the heap.

Thanks,

I finished up the 6 day week with a 2 pound loss. OK but I just wanted more! ANd for the same reasons as you...I was so on it all week...no cheating through all those parties-turned down so many glasses of wine.
Minus two is definitely better than where I would have ended had I not been on Medi.

I think my slow down was the result of eating the same thing every day...which I could do forever but I know you need to change it up.
I do eat more often..like every 2 to 3 hours. You should find that easier
on your body. Let me know how you do with it. El

Good luck.
