I don't do facebook. I have never seen the value in it and why was it posted in one of the recipe threads? Oh well.

I do Facebook but don't feel the need to let "Mediweightloss" see my kids, my husband, my photos, my friends, etc. For me, it's a great way to keep in touch with people but anyone you add can see your info, so I'm careful. My brother and his wife like in Dubai and it works great for us to share photos and news

Thanks to everyone who cheered me on when I "beat the cookie" yesterday!

It really made me feel good! Now today we have red/white/blue cupcakes in the office...temptation everywhere...I can do it!

Thanks again for the encouragement!

Just curious. I have 28 year old twin daughters + 13 year old son.

I am 50 years old. Lost 38+ pounds on this program. Just today I had a lady here at work actually tell me that I look 20 instead of 50 -- she said even in my face - not just my body -- that was quite a surprise.

I have been on maintenance for a couple of weeks now. Lost 3 pounds during that first week of maintenance. Feel like I've lost at least another pound or so this week.

I am so very, very, very, very thankful I found Medi -- my body absolutely, positively LOVES this program.

Good luck!

- Kathy
Hi Kathy,

Yes, I have beautiful identical twin girls who are 12, and an amazing 8 year old boy.

You have done amazing on the program, and you have lost the same amount of weight I am hoping to. Your success helps me feel more confident that this will work for me too.

I have known about Medi for a while but was put off by the cost. Not necessarily that it was too much, but I feel guilty that I am a "professional dieter" and should be able to do it on my own...but it just wasn't happening. I feel like I dieted myself to a 40 pound weight gain but I am ready to get it off for good!!

I wish you continued success on your journey.

mathteacher-wow less than 20lbs to maintenance
Layna-I find that my scale actually weighs me heavier than the tanita not sure why BUT your sticking to the plan and the results will show
Twinsplus1-
If I've forgotten anybody-so sorry but I had to play catch-up

Had my weigh-in today and 3.1lbs gone 2.3lbs were fat

I'm finding it hard to buy clothes cuz I'm not sure what size I really am Sounds weird BUT I've been buying plus-sized stuff for so long that I can't seem to make myself go to the "misses" section

We're heading to Charleston SC for the weekend and my biggest challenge... avoiding shrimp and grits They are my absolute favorite and my hubby doesn't like seafood so I can't get him to order them so I can have my "taste"

It's my birthday on Saturday-43 yrs OLD and I look younger than I did when I was 40

for all and have a GREAT 4th all!!

So I had an interesting weigh in - I keep track on my own scale because it helps keep me focused. I was feeling a little down because I hadn't lost much this last week (less than a pound) - when I went in - the scale at the clinic said the same thing - but I had lost almost six pounds of fat (which I can tell by my clothes). So all is well - my BMI is 25 and I am happy with that!

They also changed my prescription - I have been taking once a day Phentermine - I moved to the three times a day Phendimetrazine. It will be an interesting change having to remember to take it during the day. Has anyone else switched over? Curious about how late everyone takes their last dose for the day....
(They switched me because I am going away for three weeks and they thought I would have more control over the dosage this way).

Happy birthday Cindy and great job on your weigh in!
McBoo -how are things? You were my first inspiration here!
Have a great day everyone!

Macauley,

I am doing great thanks for asking. I have never taken the Phentermine so I don't know how they would compare. With the Phendimetrazine I took my last dose at 6pm and it didn't effect my sleep. However a lot of people do have issues with it and take there last odes somewhere around 3pm. If you get a chance to try it out before you go away you should be able to get a grasp on what time is right for you.

WTG Cindy, and Macauley!

Cindy!

~Macauley~ I also have never taken the phentermine. Have always taken the phendimetrazine. I also take the last dose at 6pm and have no problem with sleep. Totally agree with McBoo on trying it before you leave so you will have a good idea of how it will work for you. I have found the most important thing is consistency.

Hi everyone!! Just back from my weigh-in.... down 4.8lbs this week! Holy cow! I for sure thought I wouldn't lose much but the Dr was so surprised. He actually asked me to eat a little more protein calories because he doesn't want me losing so fast. We reviewed my log and my stats and everything is healthy, my body just loves this diet!!

That means I crossed the 40 pound mark!! 41 pounds lost, to be exact! I have never, ever, had results like this. This diet WORKS.

Wow!! WTG! You and I started right at the same time so I love following your progress since I feel like we have the same Medi "birthday."

JO - Just weighed in today and my loss for June was 9lbs. Thanks for keeping track of everyone.

I just uploaded the newest picture of me. Had another amazing moment yesterday. Saw a former student yesterday who looked at me and did not recognize me, she told me I looked like completely different person. It made me feel so good.

~Cindy~ Just remember what your avatar says....60 lb club! Perhaps you should just try the shrimp grilled simply? I loved Charleston! Such a beautiful city!

BTW...

I went on the Medi Weightloss facebook group and they have copied a bunch of our recipes without giving credit to any of the authors. When I reorganized the recipes I made sure to acknowledge the contributers and if it was a Hungry Girl recipe I acknowledged that as well.

I think it would have been fine for them to put a link to our recipes in their facebook group, but it bugs me that they just copied them.

~Macauley~ Pretty much, yes. I take 1/2 at 600am before I head out the door for my walk, second at 100pm, and third at 600pm. This turned out to be the best for me. I really seem to have no issues in the mornings. However, afternoons are another story....getting better with them though. Focusing on the program and what I have yet to do really helps. So does an occasional power pop! I take the Fat Burners at 11a, 3p and 7p. It all seems to work very well. Try it and see if it works for you, and by trial and error you will find what works the best for you.

I did not check the link to the group, but I can tell you that copying our recipes really makes me angry too! I really wish I knew who it was that was putting that FB page up there. It bothers me that someone would take it upon themselves to do a FB page without MWL approval.

Susie- Just for you, I joined their group and then posted on the discussion board to please either stop copying our recipes (they are literally copied and pasted, including comments!) or at least give credit to the creators.

I also posted a link to our discussion board and told them they'd be welcome to come join and get lots of ideas and support! Tried to keep it positive

Un-joining their group now though! LOL

They had me listed on their sight as a fan. Someone from the RI clinic told us about it a while back and to look them up. I must have and was added as a fan But I don't see the recipes anywhere. It looks really professional. And it has the trade mark after the name. Are you sure it isn't from the headquarters? Might just be trying to get their program moving in the right direction.

Being out of the plus side of the store is the best feeling! Even now I "forget" which side I need to go to, it seems so quickly the changes came along. Enjoy it, you have worked so hard!
