Congrats to all the losers.

Thanks for the calorie count Susie.

I had to have a root canal yesterday so I had the soup again last night but I'm back in the saddle today and still in ketosis. I'm pretty sure the soup has made me retain more water.

I'm gonna brace myself for not too much loss this week , so I won't be disappointed again but I'm gonna kick butt from here on out.

The best to all!!

Dee

Aren't those Costco Peaches absolutely aweseome!! I'm in the acute phase but am eating one fruit per day. I cut the peach up into a bowl with a 1/2 cup of Fat free Cottage Cheese. I add the Walden Farms Raspberry Jelly and some cinnamon. AWESOME!! My favorite meal of the day. I walk 3 to 4 -15 minute miles before breakfast so I figure the peach is oK.

Have a GREAT time in Italy. What a wonderful way to start out your next quarter century together!!! El

QUOTE=SDC2;12231940]Actually I am restricting my fruit to 2 per day. I got these California peaches from Costco that are the best peaches I have tasted in 10 years and they have been calling to me. So limiting them (about 10-15g carbs per peach) is required. I have bought them 3 times this summer and they have all been excellent. I bought some California peaches from BJ's and they were mealy and terrible. I threw them all away. I am supposed to keep my carbs to below 75g per day and select carbs that I can control.[/QUOTE]

Hey I live in Weddington and go to Ballantyne. Which one do you go to? El

Cindy (dodgem) - Congrats on the weight loss! I live in Matthews, NC too! What clinic do you go to?

Grace - Congrats on the loss! That is AWESOME! You should be very proud of yourself! Oh and I would agree with Jo - journal everything!!

Susie - Italy! WOW! That is great! Enjoy it and congrats on the anniversary!

Kari - Everyone said exactly what I would have said! You don't have nearly the amount of weight like other so on the board (like me!) You should be very proud of your self to the commitment you made to this program and yourself! You are doing great!

Medi - Congrats on the WL! Great! I would agree with Robyn about the veggies. I would keep them the same as you do want to stay in ketosis and try the shakes. Also, have you tried the Greek (Fage) yogurt. The fat free kind has 80 cal and 17g of protein. I eat this fairly often (although you do have to doctor it up a bit...I would NOT eat it by itself!) but it is great!

I had my weigh in this morning and lost 5.5 pounds! Very excited! I am down 27.5 since June 4th! I really think my working out a lot this week helped! Oh, and the NP at the clinic this morning said that corporate has instructed them to have all patients be sure to get 1 healthy fat (almonds, EVOO, salad dressing) per day to make sure our gal bladders stay healthy. Interesting! My clinic takes pictures and does blood work every 30 pounds so next week they said to wear something cute! Although all my clothes are too big! I need to go digging in my garage for clothes...I think I have bins from size 12-24! I already have a nice stack of clothes that are too big so that is a great feeling!

Hope you all have a great weekend!

3 pounds in 3 days! Awesome! Doc took my blood pressure this morning and it was 100/60! I told her it has never been that low in my life! We took it again 10 minutes later and it was 110/70. Weird. My pulse was 60. All this about an hour after I had walked 3 miles in 50 minutes. Could explain my light-headiness when doing squats I guess! 75 pounds to go! 26 and I'm in the 2's!

Angel - Congrats on the loss!

El - I go to the one in Cotswold. I think they call it their SouthPark location but it is more in the Cotswold area. I have heard the Ballantyne location is busier but the one I go to is busy enough in my opinion! I think all 3 Charlotte locations have the same owner though. I have never met the Dr.

Robyn - YES the big clothes will be donated! Not going to keep those!!

Jerry- WTG!!! My blood pressure has dropped as well and NO I'm not on BP meds-could be the cause of dizziness here as well.

Kate-I go to the Ballentyne clinic too! They took my 30lb pics and they disappeared But they took my 60lb pics and they're going to email them to me so I can use before after pics as my avatar

For the females here, a little FYI...Our fat cells hold estrogen,so when we lose fat we secrete the estrogen into our systems I warned my hubby so he doesn't get too upset when I blow up once in a while This caused me to have few more hot flashes than normal and affedted my weigh-in once because my feet were SO HOT-the impedence changed dramatically and caused the numbers to show that I'd lost 16.5 lbs of fat in 1 week
I'm not premenopausal or anything like that SOOOO beware!!

I did the survey on the mediweightloss site and the gift they sent... a magnetized calendar for my refrigerator At least it's good until next June hehehe!

Keep on losing all

Miracle noodes rock!

Moment of weakness today... miracle noodles (angel hair ones) with shredded parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers to the rescue. Totally hit the spot.

Congrats all on incredible losses. I am weighing in tomorrow... nervous. Hope I can keep up with the pack.

Mimi, Kate, Angel and Jerry, Great job on the weightloss! You all make me so proud!! Jerry, can't wait until you hit the two's. We'll have to have a virtual party to celebrate.

Cindy - 4.6 pounds of fat lost in 1 week is amazing. That's like 4 1/2 sticks of butter. The water will come down next week so don't get discouraged.

Ginny - We will be in Italy for 2 weeks. I hope my house survives with my 3 sons (ages 17, 19, and 22) housesitting.

El - Thanks for the suggestions about the peaches. I do love them! I sometimes cut them up in a bowl and add 1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

Thanks for all the kind wishes for my upcoming trip. I already have my suitcase packed and I am not leaving until Thursday.

I had my second weigh in yesturday. Down 2.8lbs. I was hoping for a little more, but it was a very hectic week. I only worked out once this week due to a passing of one of my friends.

But I can complain too much. I have been on this program for 2weeks and have lost 14.1lbs.

You are doing awesome! 2.8 pounds at your weight is an excellent loss, especially after the huge loss you had last week.

Congrats everyone! I'm proud to say I lost 3.5 lbs this week bringing my 1 month weight loss total to 13.5 lbs!!!! Not even in my wildest dreams did I think I could lose this much in one month. It gave me strength to pass up the homemade cookies my coworker brought to work that kept staring at me...wait that was me staring at the cookies.

Quick pop in, tried to catch up on posts, but man you guys are too quick for me!!

Hudiman/Ginny- If you go to the Target in Salem, look in the section where the EAS shakes & protein bars are, up on the top shelf, I think on the right hand e, they have a power bar brand packet that is similar to CL hydration here is a link:

POWERBAR® ELECTROLYTES Natural Berry

there are 2 carbs per 1/2 serving, so 4 per packet I think?, but if you need the electrolytes, these are local! I did find the CL hydration somewhere I will keep an eye out.

I have not tried them myself, but they might be an option.

Sunday I promise everyone I will read the last few pages, I am getting caught up on all of your posts.

Just wanted to drop a quick line and let everyone how my first week went!
First week back on, and I stuck to the program to a T and really felt great about myself for sticking. I have been unable to get in to weigh in, have an appt and they were booked today and closed Monday. ( I had to cancel my orginal appt for this week!)

On my scale at home though, I am down 10lbs!
Will let you all know the official results when I go in,

So from what I've been able to read in the past month everyone seems to be doing so well! I've been having a hard time sticking to the plan during the hustle and bustle of packing for our overseas move but now that it's finally over I will be back on plan and at the gym in full force starting tomorrow! I'm only fifteen pounds away from my goal weight so there's no giving up now! Thank you all for continuing to be such a positive inspiration. I've missed being able to keep up with the board & am happy to finally be back.

Greetings All: Hope every one is feeling good today. We are having a nice summers day for a change here in the North East. Great lift to the spirit for all.

Just writing to report my progress this month, 3.2 + 2.2 + 2.6 (yesterday). 8lbs for the month so far, 18.4 since starting 4 wks ago.

I am pleased with steady losses, although was disappointed yesterday. I was going for 5 lbs this week, it had been a while since a big loss and I managed to it. They did say I lost over 4 lbs fat and my water was up, but based on others experiences I do not trust that fat:water measurement fully. I was starving Friday night and drank a lot of regular veggie broth. This morning I was thrilled to be down an additional 2.1 since my WI yesterday. My scale usually matches theirs.

Oh well, I am going to follow my own advice here and stand back and look at the overall number and that makes me VERY pleased, ecstatic in fact. My clinic did say most settle in to 2 to 3 lbs loss a week. I heard them but seems like I am not accepting that factoid. I keep thinking... "geez, I can do better than that." Then I do my best and finish up right where they said I would.

If anyone has any experience or advice about how often a "big" week (over 3 lbs) comes after the first week, I would appreciate your comments. Perhaps it is never or rarely and I need to smarten up and stop putting myself down when I get good results.

I am learning a lot about myself in this process. I think I have a habit of setting the bar too high, too fast on a lot of things and then run when I do not get quick, startling results. I need to do some thinking about how I set myself up for failure, and not just on the weight loss front. I am great at giving advice to others but not so good at following it myself.

Have a great Sunday everyone and "power to MWL"

Layna-You I started at about the same time. My first week was 9.8 followed by 2 and 3.4 for a current total of 15.2 and the 4th week weigh in tomorrow...2 days short of the full 4 weeks because I travel for work and am only home Mondays.

So, I hear you impatience and know exactly how you feel. BUT-I look at it this way...you and I both started out with a HUGE first week! You need to embrace that and really be happy with 2 to 3 per week after. It's healthy, it's more than most weight plans which recommned 1.5 to 2. Slow and steady really does win.

I've started to add upper and lower strength training yesterday and today. If you aren't doing some weight lifting you should. This will speed up the building of muscle and will increase your metabolism.

Other than that...keep up the great work!!! 18.4 lbs is HUGE!!

Layna-quit beating yourself up!! I've been on the program since Feb 25th and only had 4 big-loss weeks meaning more than 4.0 lbs! It always depends on how much you need to lose to start and your body type. I'm short and my bone structure is small.
Just a couple of questions for you: Are you taking the fatburner 3 x day and are getting all your water in?
I've found that if I take the fatburner 3 x day and get most of the water in, I lose more Maybe that's just me....I've switched over to the Mega T fatburner-got a good deal on them at BJs- the first week I did that-this past week-I lost 4.6lbs of fat. Although, when I looked at my tanita print out I noticed that my impedance was a little lower. SO that means I could gain fat again at weigh-in
My thought is that since your drinking a lot of the veggie broth you might be getting a lot of sodium-that's why your water is up

Anywho-not everybody has big weight losses and as is said- Slow and steady wins the race!

my suggestion is that you go to Medi-Weightloss Clinics® - Physician-supervised weight loss clinics. There's lots of info there.

For a brief outlay-this diet consists of 500 cals low fat protein with supplements and an appetite suppressant for the first week- your bloodwork and EKG is checked first. Followed by same amount of protein and veggies/fruit during the acute phase.

Hey you losers!!

Congrats to everyone on the varied successes and pushing ahead.

I am so proud of myself today. I was totally stressed last week between my out of the blue tooth problems and having to have a root canal and knowing that this weekend we had to go to a reunion of friends in Delaware I was really bummed about being thrown off the routine I was trying to develop.

Well yesterday was the reunion and I passed with flying colors. There was a boatload of food and I even had to make my famous chocolate croissant pudding.

I set my mind that I would not deviate from the plan and packed a lot of water, my CL pkts and an EAS shake to have on the ride there .

I had 2 pcs of baked chkn breast, 1 meatball, some salad with 1 tbsp of lite balsamic vinaigrette, 1 hot dog no bun plenty of water and CL while everyone was raving about all the food including some great looking twice baked potato salad with shrimp and crab meat . I had about 1/2 cup of no sugar added fruit salad for dessert.

I was so afraid this morning I would be knocked out of ketosis just by looking at the food and smelling it all day, but I was firmly in keto this morning and feeling good.

I still had a great time with my Hubby and friends and proved to myself that it can be done if I put my mind to it.

Still doing this about the upcoming cruise though!!

Susie have a great time in Italy. I loved it and hope to go back next year.

Robyn , thank you I feel so much better now after the root canal.

Hi there!

Newbie here... I've been reading these message boards for a few weeks now and have learned so much from you all! I started the program a week ago and I love it. It feels so good to be successful and get results. In only a week my too-tight jeans are comfortable again. I'm supposed to go for my first weigh-in today, but will have to postpone to Friday. We are moving this week and things are hectic!

Have a great week!

I'm glad it's going well for you MrsRadio despite the moving. I'm sure we can all relate to how hectic that can be.

Stick to the program and you will have a great reward when you go to weigh-in.

I have my weigh -in tonight, can't wait to see what happens.
