Thanks for that link Susie back when I was making them on Atkins I looked everywhere for a muffin top pan with no success. It didn't even cross my mind to check Amazon.

Maria, big congrats on 11.5 lbs down. This is my 1st week too and I feel okay just not much energy on 500 cals. I couldn't exercise I was afraid I'd stress myself too much.

I couldn't help but peek and I've lost 7 lbs since Tuesday my start date. No more peeking . I wanna be surprised when I go back to the clinic.

Weighed in today!

I can now brag that I am the newest member of the 30 pound club! This week I lost 5.5 pounds for a grand total of 32.5 pounds! (7 weeks) After last week's "funk" over 1.5 pounds and dizziness and dropping blood pressure... I was ready for a good week.

As I mentioned I got to cut my blood pressure meds in half on Monday. I have felt better all week and then got a bonus on the scales! As far as bp, it was back up slightly, which is so much better than dropping so rapidly! It seems weird to be happy about it being up, but I need to stabilize.

Oh, and I met my 10% goal, which I found out today (at my clinic) gave me 10% off of this visit.... Woo Hoo, so it was a good day all around.

A BIG congrats to everyone on the losses!! So wonderful to hear!

I lost 2 this week which I am pretty happy about. I was on vacation and it was tough counting the calories (not to mention the diners, pizza place and other restaurants we went to in NJ ) but I did well up there and was pleased with my 2 pounds and hoping for a great week this week now that I am back and in the swing of things.

I started the Couch Potato to 5K training program this week...WOW...even week 1 is tougher than I thought it would be...although in the past I only saw a need to run if I was being chased ...which was never...but I am so excited about it and really hope it goes well and I can run a 5K in 3 months...that would be unreal!!!

Quick question about shakes. I have not bought the shakes from the clinic but was hoping that one of you knew of some sort of similar shake sold at Target. I am no longer a member of costco (yeah for no diapers!!) so that is not an option. Let me know if you know of anything else out there that would be the similar (I already buy the EAS shakes).

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hello Everyone: I am just dropping in to say "hi". I worked a brutal 14 hr day. I am so tired, I can barely type. But, I had to check in. I really look fwd to reading everyone's posts every night, gives me a sense of belonging, which is very important part of me staying on track. Thanks for support and advice during the week, really helped me not crack under pressure (work) and stay on track. Thank you all. And muffin top pans... who knew?

This program really rocks, congratulations to all this weeks loosers, and looks like we can say "big loosers". Jo, Gretta, Kate, Amy, Maria, Twins, Jbiggers, Txgrl, Layna, and everyone else I missed. I can't say enough about this program and congrats to everyone else that has already made maintenance (Susie, McBoo, etc.) There are some that used to post that were so close, has anyone heard from JonPryor, McChestnut, etc? They kind of dropped off. That is what makes Susie and McBoo special, they stay on here and really help us, thank you sooo much for supporting all of us, no matter where we are on the program. Not only have you succeeded but you have really helped the rest of us with tools to succeed. Jo, you are so close and a great inspiration. Ginny

Kudos Amy! 32.5 pounds in 7 weeks is amazing. Only on Medi! If I had the money I would definitely open a clinic. Unfortunately, this comes at a time that I am trying to put my 3 sons through college. I absolutely believe that Medi has figured out the magic formula and it works. The fact that "results are typical" speaks volumes. No other program that I know of are allowed to advertise with this claim. Not Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, or even Weight Watchers. I asked at my clinic about that claim, and based on statistics and results they are able to legally make that claim. Well deserved! Claim it!!!

Jo,

I couldn't be happier for you. You are 16 pounds away from losing 102 pounds and goal! You have lost an outstanding 85 pounds in less than 7 months. You are a superstar. I can't wait for you to join the maintenance group. Isn't it about time for a before/after picture?

Jo that is wonderful!! You are almost there too! I often say to myself, when you are off for your walks, "Boy what a walking partner she would be!" you walk even when it is above 90! You are determined and it shows

~Congrats~ to Kate, Amy and Maria on your losses this week!

~Gretta~Come on out to Phoenix! And I will walk with you anytime...in the morning that is! I have lived here for 15 years now and although I prefer cooler walking weather....early morning is as cool as it is going to get till mid September. A day without a walk just does not seem right anymore! Abd a treadmill just does not do it for me!

I thank you all for the kind compliments.

...and I too have ordered a muffin top pan!

Jo

question about the protein shakes

Hi everyone, I found some protein shakes at costco that are not the eas ones, they are called premier protein, I bought a big box of the, its 30 grams protein, 1 gram sugar, 5 grams carbs and 160 calories, i hope these are ok to use as I can't take them back now. also can i have sunflower seeds or are they to fattening. Also I have tried medi before last year, did great went on my own and gained it all back, so I am better prepared this time, but I had alot of hair loss last year, now that its all grown back, I am worried again, don't want my hair to thin out, and yes I did take the required vitamins last time, is there anything I can add to keep my hair from thinning out. Thanks, Mary

confused

Congratulations for all the losses. I wasn't able to log in for a while because me computer was broken. I'm down 30 pounds and verry happy about that, I feel great.
My only concern is that I feel that the appetite supresants aren't working for me as great as before...I have cravings and had cheated...in small proportions, but still....I don't want to start cheating on a larger scale. I don't know what to do! nobody at my clinic knows much about the program, the only lady that knew transfered to another location which is to far away for me.
I loose about 1.5 to 2 pounds a week...no more than that, and I don't know if that is ok, or if its that ittle beacuse I cheat. For example, if my husband goes to mc donlads I will eat 2 of his fries.
What can I do? I am going back to week 1 today, an see if that helps me to get back in track.
Please advice me and thank you verry much

HI everyone! Just got back from vacation. I was feeling completely confident, as I really turned down a LOT this week and used a lot of willpower. I was feeling proud and strong. We were camping and I didnt have any Smores, on Italian night I had salad with chicken. I didn't drink, althougn everyone else was. I know that the acute phase doesnt last forever, but I honestly felt really sad skipping a lot of the fun stuff. It def put a damper on my vaca trying so hard to stick with the plan, but I had preplanned a lot to avoid any missteps and I didnt tell any of the extended fam what plan I was doing, just that I was watching what I ate. I was in ketosis all week. I drank a ton of water, I took all of my vitamins and supplements. I took a lot of care not to exceed my calories (I normally have around 600ish a day) I was a little over that, but only exceeded 800 one day.

So I came home feeling great expecting the scale to be down, and it isn't. I am actually up a pound!!!! I am so upset right now. Ive been feeling really lethargic and lightheaded for a few days, and now I am miserable. I just have no desire to go pay 70 bucks to be told I went up. I am going to try to go on Thursday and hopefully the scale will be better by then. I just feel like all of my hard work did not pay off, and it is incredibly frustrating.
