Peanut Butter Protein Bites
What is the secret for dealing with how sticky these things are. I have made a mess. I do not like Splenda. I made these without it. Is that my problem?

protein bars
I think I may be addicted to the chocolate medi protein bars. How often are we allowed to eat them per week? Do people use them as a once in a while treat, or if calories allow, every day. I was concerned about the number of carbs in them.
Thanks! |

I feel the same way about the chocolate protein bars! I love sweets and it really helps me out. I must admit that I've been using them as a snack and I was wondering if this was okay as well.

Zip n Steam
I just joined this website last night after stumbling upon it.. I've been doing Medi since January 5th and lost 30 pounds so far..
I just wanted to throw in this thread that you can put frozen chicken or fish, along with vegetables, in the Ziploc Zip n Steam bags and microwave them for about 6 minutes and you have a finished meal! This is a very exciting discovery for me, It usually takes me an hour to cook a frozen chicken breast in the oven, and they taste the exact same! |

I have a question about chicken. My DH went shopping for me last night and came home with boneless chicken thighs.. I asked him to get chicken tenders.. OMG now what can I do with them. I just re-started week 1 after losing momentum due to an illness in the family.

Since you're doing week 1 again, you can grill, broil, or pan "fry" them. Add some good seasoning to them, and enjoy. Next week try them in stir-fry, or IF you freeze them (after trimming off any of the BIG pieces of fat that always seem to be attached) you can then put them FROZEN (DO NOT THAW) into a slow cooker, and add about 3/4 C of your favorite salsa and let it cook the day, then serve with FF sour cream, and some low fat shredded cheese.....it's the easiest meal around......when you get to maintenance add 2 cans of black beans to the chicken and salsa while cooking! I made this even before Medi! Kiss your DH for being a good guy and shopping! ![]()

I am in week 1, So in my packet they gave me the protein shake mix sample in a baggie, but I dont know if its one serving or two. I read the recipes and it says "1 scoop" anyone mind telling me how much that is?![]() Last edited by VElite; 02-22-2011 at 09:46 PM.. |

Hi VElite, welcome...
We must go to the same center. They never gave me a free sample, but my sister just reached her goal and shared her "leftovers" with me. I had my first shake today and loved it. The scoop is rather big so I would say that the sample is one (1) serving. I recommend the vanilla. My sis made some great pancakes using cottage cheese and the vanilla shake..I'm pretty sure the instructions are on here somewhere. Good luck and I hope to connect with you again soon... Jean |

Have you tried the pancakes yet?? I haven't, but my sister loves them. She is in Wellness now but still follows the core of MWL. It drives me crazy but she wants to maintain her current weight..Hmmmm..Maybe I will feel differently when I am her size and have to borrow some of her clothes LOL.

Anyone know if these pancakes are ok for week 1? the ingredients seem to be week one approved: LF cottage cheese, protein powder and egg whites.
I really hope so because I am soooooo tired of meat. Sigh. ![]() |
