I don't get hunger pains or any side effect issues its just the time and effort that goes into planning meals, journaling, remembering to take all the pills, testing for ketosis etc... that makes me feel like I should see a more dramatic result. I know its not supposed to be easy, its a major lifestyle change but did anyone else feel like the program took over your life at the beginning and slowed down time? Does this feeling go away? Thanks in advance!
You are doing great! Just remember that this is a "diet" forever. This is a new way of eating that hopefully we will learn and follow from now on. It will become second nature to pick the right choices after doing it for awhile, without much effort. Besides ,we are worth the time it takes so that we achieve our goals. We are here for you if you need support, good luck!

Congrats to all weight loss this week! You are all doing so well!

My little mini goal is to be under 200 by April 24 if at all possible, definitely by the first week of May realistically...who knows? A day at a time!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter weekend!

Well after reading everyone's posts I've decided to go ahead and take the plunge. I actually decided this Monday and made my appointment for the 20th. I'm so excited to start I can hardly contain myself! I don't even want to go shopping because I know I'm going to lose so much weight! I keep imagining myself smaller and healthier and more energetic...this is the longest wait ever

Congratulations on all the losses!

I joined a 24 hr access gym with no classes when I started Medi; listened to the clinic and took things slow. Built my stamina back up. After 4 months I switched over to a gym/health club with more personal attention and a variety of classes. The thing that has stuck with me is to not get bored or in a rut of the same thing exercise wise. Just when you think you are kicking butt on a certain machine, change it up and push yourself on that machine or change machines! My latest thing is back on the treadmill; 5 min warmup at 0 incline working up to 4 mph, then in 2 to 2 1/2 min intervals increasing the incline to 2 then 4 then 6 then back down to 4 then 2 then 0; end with the 5 min cooldown. Really works cardio and butt!

Strange New Places You Will Lose ........

I suggested to my clinic that they need to work with a jewelry store for a discount for us losers.
I just spent $75 at the jewelry store to have my wedding rings resized - I lost 2 whole finger sizes!!!!!

Sounds like a good plan. You know the plan works if you follow it. Hopefully the extra shot will jump start your return to success.

Good luck.

You are doing the right thing by going back to the clinic and having them help you get back on plan, that is why you are paying to do this!!!

You have done really good so far - 22 pounds is a lot of weight, in terms of things we can visualize, that is like a 2 to 3 year old child!

What has helped me the most so far is:
1. The money that is being spent to do this
2. My family is my greatest support system (They know the foods I can eat or not eat)
3. Food does not comfort you, find something else that does (call a friend, read, walk, garden, find something new to do)

Good luck and please know that we are all here to support you. You can do this!

I have a question about fees at the clinic.

I had to get a new journal and was charged 6.00, I don't know why but I thought that was expensive since we pay 70.00 a week. I guess I figured the journal would be included.

Just wondering if all clinics charge for new journals.

Hi Robyn,

Yep,mine did the same thing. They also charge for the Fat Burner and I'll find out about the Calcium today. The vitamin pill is free though. Guess thay have to make money where they can
Congrats on the weightloss You're doing great!
I'm also in the Charlotte area. We have a great support group forming here too I guess

Actually, the fact that my wedding ring was getting really tight was a motivator for me
I didn't want that to become a permanent thing for me. I married the most wonderful man in the world . He loves me no matter what size I am! I weighed 130lbs when we met but we got comfortable with each other and I also had a back injury (excuses excuses ) But those added up to me not going to the gym and continued to eat the same.
Bad plan there!

Hey Troy

Great job on the weight loss. As far as those other numbers are concerned, I don't really pay any attention to them. I am more interested in the weight going down on the scale and my measurements. I am not a true believer of the other numbers. Go see the Tanita Tidbits thread for more info on the other info from the scale.

For me, I am just feeling so good and so much more stronger. I have only lost a drop in the bucket towards my goal but the changes in my overall health and mental status are huge.

I know I didn't answer the question but my 2 cents worth is: Don't worry about it and keep doing what you have been doing because you are doing great!

Today is my 2nd day of doing the diet. I ate 2 hard boiled eggs this morning...I hope that isn't bad. I tried egg whites yesterday and couldn't get them down. Last night I was hungry, and unfortunately do not care for cottage cheese that much (as of now), I'm hoping my taste buds change a little, or I can learn to like it. I ended up just going to bed really early to avoid being hungry.

Also they put me on 750 calories a day due to my weight and height (6'1).
