Medi Shakes

Hi Everyone. Can we start a thread with everyone's favorite way to prepare the shakes? I have tried a few ways and so far my favorite is to just add some orange cristal light. Also, does anyone know a way to make it more creamy or like a smoothie? Mine always end up being too chunky. Thanks in advance!!

Just drink the EAS AdvantEDGE carb control shakes instead, they are delicious!

I have one almost everyday around 3:30pm as my afternoon snack. 17g protein and 2 net carbs.

I drink the PREMIER NUTRITION packed shakes instead, they are very creamy and tasty, ideal for on the run .....

Good luck

I love the Medi-Shake

My favorite Medi-Shake is the Chocolate with 1 Tbsp of unsweetened cocoa powder. Before mixing it in 12-15 oz of ice cold water, I place the cocoa powder and Medi shake mix in a small container and shake so they mingle well. I then pour all of the powder into water and use the Pampered Chef's Mini-Whipper to mix. The longer you mix, the thicker it gets. I drink one or two a day to add more calories (I have a very intense workout routine so I have to add back in the calories I burn). I don't add any sweetner. I think it's fine without.

I tried the Medi Vanilla and couldn't choke it down. I followed the recipe for Orange Julius and just couldn't get past the chemical flavor. I haven't tried again.

I also bought the EAS advantage shakes in Chocolate and hated those too. They had a weird metallic flavor in my throat.

I wish there was a product that didn't taste like fake, processed chemicals. I have tried the Chocolate Almond Milk and I actually like that, but I have to watch the portions really carefully because it is high calorie for what it is. But it's a once in a while option if you want a "safe" treat. I think I have had it twice in 2.5 weeks.

I want to like the protein shakes but man, the flavors just get the better of me.

Are you using the Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk? It is only 45 calories for 8oz. If you are using the sweetened variety it is way too high in calories.

I haven't tried the Medi shakes and probably won't. I've been drinking the EAS shakes since week two and love them as well! I stick with the vanilla flavor since it has less carbs but am sure the chocolate ones are just as good. I'm a pretty hard person to please when it comes to protein shakes/bars and have found that these are the most relatively normal tasting ones on the market... and they're Medi legal!

It's week one for me...

I've been adding things to my Vanilla shakes.

Ginger and vanilla extract is good...mostly you take the heat of the ginger and not the "eww shake" from it.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, and a vanilla extract ...sort of like a spice cookie taste. Not too bad.

Worst case scenario? I chug it and keep going! :P

I have had the shakes made with decaf coffee (cooled off) instead of water. Then you blend it in the blender (only for a second or two or it gets too frothy) and sprinkle some cinnamon on top and it's like a frapaccino... I also add a sweet-n-low packet to it to sweeten it up a bit more.
