Medi Loss Calorie Question

Hi all! I have my first appointment and am starting the plan on Wednesday, i'm very excited! I was wondering though, for you experts, how long do you stay on the 500 or so calorie allotment? I'm a little concerned about that, as it's obviously not sustainable for the long term. Is that for the first few weeks, and then they bump you up? Thank you very much, I look forward to joining the April group! Anything you can share would be great, including how you handled the very low calorie amount and if it was super difficult or surprisingly manageable, etc? Also, i'd love to know when they increased your calories and if you were still able to lose? thank you all very much!

After the first week, I was increased to 500 calories of protein and 150 calories from my fruits and veggies and snack. I have been doing Medi for 8 weeks and have no issues with the calories and have more energy that I have had in a long time.

You can have 150 cals fruit/veggies? or do you mean combined with your snack?
I was told either, 2 cups of veggies (50 cals) or 2 cups of fruit, 1 cup uncooked veggie 25 cals, 5 carbs, 2 protein. Do you stay in Ketosis?

I have not been out of ketosis except after I cheated this weekend and had a small thing of ice cream. I have not had an issuse with Ketosis until the last three days and that was my fault and I know what I did. I have eatten nothing but my 500 calories of protein the last three days. I have 150 combined with my snack, I very rarely get near 650 calories. I am usually about 550 or 575. I struggle getting more than that. I usually eat two veggies which is 50 calories for my two serving and then Sugar free jello with FF whipped cream occasionally.

Welcome babyboyst

Below is a link to the thread for help for week 1. Your clinic will give
you all the information you will need to work the program. Your first
week will be limited to 500 calories - this does depend however, on your
height and weight - it differs for some. You will find the thread below
very very helpful. If you have questions, be sure to ask your clinic. They
are there to help you be successful. You will also find great recipes and other
helpful info and support in our threads.

Welcome Newbies! Helpful info for week 1.

Welcome to the program!
