First appointment yesterday ... today is 1st day of the rest of my life :)

First appointment yesterday ... today is 1st day of the rest of my life

While there was a bit of a paperwork glitch it seems getting my med filled
(corporate fax type thing with reversed numbers)

I'm on my way and so committed to this plan

My friend started yesterday, as well
I won't mention her ID name unless she wants (she can post it lol)
and we went in to our appointments and found that having been on this list
we were told we were among the most "educated" about the plan, meds, side effects to expect, etc.
THANKS for this list!!!
big smile

It is funny, I was telling my friend my approach because I'm paying for the plan seems more "accountable"
As if cheating on my own was just being "naughty"

Because there is money involved and I have to face people in a setting with just a few people and I'm not some number in line at the deli ... (lol)
I feel like if I cheat - not only am I hurting myself - but I feel like it's cheating as if on a test at school, or on my taxes ... rather more serious this way than "on my own".

Just a feeling - hoping it will keep me more motivated.

Hugs to all

That's great!

You know what I did? I told everybody I was starting this program, so I fell compromised ....

In the past, every single time I tried to loss weight I never tell to my friends, so when I fall I did not have to give any excuse or explanation ...

Now, it is different .. it is like I do not want to disappoint them and fell good with myself ......

Good luck!

The meds do work, and make sure you get all your calories in. Believe it or not it is hard to do because you are not hungry! Also be sure to drink as much water as possible and try to walk everyday. I think walking and the water help me the most.

Good luck and just think next week you will be a few pounds lighter and closer to your goal!

Ashley,

You wont feel like that for long. It is just the first couple of days.

Does your clinic have you gradually increasing the appetite suppresants or are you taking full doses right from the beginning?

Make sure you are getting all your protein and all your water in. It is very important.

Make sure you take your fat burners with food.

oh good! i dont think i could take feeling like this forever! No, they do not have me gradually increasing, just taking them all right away. I hope what i ate today is okay- egg whites, cottage cheese and shrimp. Im drinking tons of water and some tea as well. im glad the shakes will subside soon
Thanks!

Ash,

You may want to take a look at the materials that they gave you at your appointment and see if they want you to start slow on the appetite suppresants and then build up to the full dose. If there is any question call the clinic.

Once you get in ketosis, you will feel much better. Try to drink as much water as possible and foods with lots of protein. Eggs are great for that. Having a dry mouth is something that I am still dealing with and I am drinking more than the gallon they said to. But I feel so much better than before and the walking is starting to become a habit that I am really enjoying.

Good luck over the weekend!

I told my doctor I was drinking more water than was recommended and still had the super dry mouth. He said it was from the meds. As long as you take the meds, it will be that way. Some people do fine without them at all. I have tried to use only two a day and it seems to work fine for me.
