Starting on Wednesday :) Fun question

Hi everyone :)

I have my consultation (with labs, etc.) on Wednesday - woo hoo
all at once I'm nervous yet excited.

I even have one of my friends starting the same day

Maybe we'll do well as buddies in the program :)

Anyway, a fun question:
did anyone feel a compulsion to go out and have a "last big supper" before their consultation?
giggles

(hope the humor comes through)

Hi there ... I do not know if that is normal, but I did it also ....

I think is because now we live to eat ..... when we reprogram our brain, maybe we see food in another way!

If you think you will feel good doing it, go ahead ....because the first week is hard, but worth it!

Good Luck!

In my opinion it's like an addict getting high before going into rehab, just makes it harder to get off the bad stuff (carbs):p
I should know I ate a one pound bag of M&M's the weekend before I started the program:hyst:
Good luck with your journey!!!:hugs:

Hi All....

I have my first consultation as well on Wednesday, too. I'll admit to having a 'last hurrah' yesterday. For me...it was more of a farewell, of things I don't need in my life right now.

I'm so psyched-up about starting on this new journey. :)

With the support of family and friends and genuine interest I've seen on this message board, I know I'll succeed!

I agree with Sherrie! You are embarking on a new way of life, and a new way of eating and looking at food. I saw no reason to celebrate the way life WAS. I just had a normal dinner and looked forward to the dawn of a new day in the morning. It was just easier for me that way. Each person will choose what they believe is right for them.

I applaud your choice to begin MWL. It is so very worth it!

Guilty as Charged

I must admit that I did do a last supper and final farewell to all the crap that got me where I was. It was kind of refreshing and I was excited about the new way of eating until the morning of the first day. I think it was nerves about whether or not I could do this and whether or not it would actually work.

I can honestly say that this program is so worth it! Good luck on your journey. Take it one day at a time!:welcome:
