Not all sellers on ebay are the same, as I am sure you know. I have found a seller who is fair, has 100% positive feedback and is willing to work with you. If you are interested please leave a pm for me and I will get the info to you. I chased this down all over ebay.
Some charge more, some less, but make it up with awful shipping costs. This seller is fair all the way across the board. I have purchased from her and would do so again without any worry at all.

According to my clinic, who introduced them to me, the answer to that question is no.
The amount of hoodia in the pops is minimal, and they are not aware of any drug interactions at this time. I will question them again tomorrow for you. However, I like the pops and one will last me a couple of days. I just lick them or suck on them for a little while (after drinking water first and after) and they help curb the "creepy cravings" in the late afternoon.

I got my power pops. Don't know if they help or not but they do keep my mouth busy.
They take at least 20-25 min to finish. At work I don't have the time to do this so I took a mallet and gave a couple a good smack and put in baggy. This way I have pieces I can suck on at work. Works for me!

Woohoo! I never thought of that! WTG Jill! Take to work Power pops....great idea. What I do know about the power pops is that they take away the gnawing "creepy cravings", and that makes them work for me!

I asked this question before because it does help me get my mind of food. The answer was yes, but I try to keep it to two a day just in case.

Power Pops may be available in stores, but I could not find them. My clinic has them, but I found a seller on ebay that I can trust and purchased mine from her. I have given her name to several members here as well. She has great perfect feedback, and delivers the product and communicates beautifully and her shipping charges are very reasonable. So that is where I get mine.

I tried a couple first as well. But they are now a mainstay for me when I get what I call the "creepy cravings".

And I believe sugar free gum is ok. I know one of the guys really likes the Mandarin one from Stride gum.

Unfortunately, sugar free gum is somewhat of a no-no
they say 2 per day ... max
because each stick still has 1 carb (ugh )
however, reading up on it - I'd only do it every other day or so

and as with Many of us who were "carb-addicts"
if you start to chew a piece of gum ... before you know it ... it might turn into 5
because we are transferring that oral fixation.

The way I look at it:
if you had to go through caffeine withdrawl (headaches, etc.) to be on this plan (at least I did)
and NOW it feels soooooo good ... I don't want to go back
sooooo I don't want to get in a habit

I think drinking broth is good

You know what works for me and it's CHEAP?

I take Crystal Light and pour it into those ice pop makers you can get at the grocery store for about $2 ... stick them in the freezer and voila - an icey pop
in a pinch I have stuck a spoon in a dixie cup and done the same
No calories, no carb

I spoke with my clinic about sugarfree gum, and as long as you use it in moderation you are all right. Anything in excess is a problem. So, a piece or two a day is okay.

Crystal Light can become a problem as well, depending on the variety, as there is sodium in Crystal Light that many forget about.

MWL is a lifestyle change, we are learning moderation, and that is a good thing.

I have had no problem with sugarfree gum. I usually take a piece with me when I walk, along with my water bottle.

Hi everyone
Just an input here
per my doctor:
Crystal Light is most likely a better option than all that gum
if someone choses the Hydration line, there are electrolytes (and less sodium)
and some sodium is important for electrolytes
which are incredibly important on this diet to maintain health.

Patti~
My intention is certainly not to cause tension in the group, only to offer help to others with choices. The person I spoke with at my clinic was our Doctor. Hydration is extremely important, as is electrolyte balance. A piece or two of gum is all right. People chew gum, they do not eat it. Crystal Light is all right. All things in moderation. He stressed moderation heavily. As long as we consume the required amount of fluid each day, there should be no problem with dehydration or electrolyte imbalance. The major amount of liquid should be water. My clinic doctor advised that some patients overdo the Crystal Light which is why he advises as he does.

I also spoke with my personal physician, who advised the same thing. He stressed the importance of hydration, the limitation of caffeinated beverages such as colas, even diet colas. The lower sodium broths are fine for most people. He, too, stated the water should be the main liquid.

My personal physician's last words to me today were moderation in all choices. I can hear my own father saying the same to us as we were growing up. My dad was a physician as well.

We all have choices to make each day, and as we learn this new lifestyle, we will be learning to make wise choices, that will lead us to a much healthier way of life. Each person's choice is their own to make.

Jo

I see your point
and you Do have some Great information on this forum - I have personally enjoyed and gained much from it (thank you)

but perhaps a slight change in response could help
when folks offer some input of their own
you sometimes post something argumentative to another poster. Or rather dis-avowing their information from their clinic or research. After all D, we all are here to share information we have received from many sources - so it's all good

How about simply saying "XXXX poster has a good point ... may I add my opinion to it"
instead of a line that negates anothers' opinion.

Just trying to help ...

Anyone know what these are sweetened with? I've been surfing online and finding specifics on the nutrition stats is hard. (My sample pops did not come with any nutrition stats or specific ingredients list -- even on the flyer that was sent with the samples. )

I did find a site that said each pop had 4 carbs, and 2 grams of sugar, but they must be supplementing the sweetener with some kind of sugar alcohol and I would like to know which one.

Kind of ticks me (and makes me suspicious, frankly) that they are selling food without a proper ingredients list and nutrition stats panel.

Here is what I found on the website:

Ingredients
Hoodia* - A natural ingredient in weight loss from South Africa that has been used for hundreds of years which suppresses the appetite and works with the receptors to signal satisfaction.

Citrimax* - A natural ingredient in weight loss products for over 30 years which suppresses appetite and helps to burn fat.

L-Tyrosine* (Amino Acid) - Suppresses appetite, helps reduce body fat, works with the receptors to signal satisfaction.

Vitamin B6* - involved in more body functions than almost any other single nutrient, helps absorbs fats, and reduces water retention.

Vitamin B12* - Helps with proper digestion, absorption of foods, and metabolism of carbohydrates and fats.

Guarana* - Combined with Vitamins B6 and B12, helps reduce fatigue and increase mental alertness.

Natural Flavors.
There is a small amount of sugar and corn syrup to act as a binding agent.

Power Pops contain NO Mahuang or Ephedra. Each Power Pop contains approximately 28 calories, 0 fat grams, 4 carbs and 2 net grams of sugar.

Yes, Jo, that is very helpful, thanks. I just wish they posted the ingredients following national guidelines regarding the most volume ingredients listed first, so that I could see, for instance, how much corn syrup in relation to the other ingredients. Especially since I don't see any sweetener besides only 2g of sugar listed, and the pops are certainly sweet, so I wonder really how much corn syrup (high fructose corn syrup??) is in one of these. . .umm. . . .suckers! (couldn't resist, lol))
