Diabetes and Medi Weightloss - ketosis

Just starting the program as a type 1 diabetic
Anyone have any thoughts about the concept of this plan utilizing the burning of fat and such (ketosis) and how that might run a fine line for complications of kidneys for diabetes?

I'm hoping it will not be an issue
I'm excited to get started

Hugs for this message board btw

Patricesue,

Absolutely make sure your clinic is aware that you are a type 1 diabetic and they coordinate with your primary doctor so they can monitor your insulin levels throughout the plan.

Good luck,

I know the Phendimetrazine is not good for diabetics. Be sure to check all drug interactions. The diet however is great for diabetes! If you take insulin you may have to adjust because your blood sugar will drop. Keep a close check on your level. I suggest that you talk to your physician before starting the program.
