Trying to do MWL on my own

I have read all of the threads on this subject and have several friends doing this program. I have been to Mother Earth here in Ft. Myers and recieved most of the meds being offered by the program. No, I did not recieve the injections but have been reassured by Mother earth and my personal Dr. that the Sublingual B-12 with B-6 is just as good as the injections. I have the calcium pyruvate and have completed a colon cleanse as well. I am missing some of the meds included in the Mic shot but am researching that information.

I am pretty confident I can follow the program without spending the extra money at the Clinic. I may be wrong but am going to give it a shot. I am 47 yrs young and attending school FT after 30yrs to be a Respiratory Therapist and would like to lose 35 to 40lbs so that I can both keep up with my Granddaughters and perform my new job when the time comes.

I'd like to Thank all who have contributed to this thread and have enjoyed reading the last 2wks. I'll be visiting the "Skinny Pantry" at the Flea Market in the am for some "Miracle Noodles"

Congrats to all the "Big" Losers

Wow!

11 views and no responses. I am a little disappointed as I have been so impressed with the support on this board. I realize that I am not going to the Clinic as most of you are but as we all know the economic times have affected all of us. And I do believe that I mentioned I am a FT student, so my funds are limited even more.

I would assume (and maybe that's my mistake) that the conscious effort for anyone to lose weight and gain a healthy lifestyle would deserve a pat on the back no matter how it is achieved as long it is a healthy plan. I did state that I have approached and seen my "Family Dr" before starting the program and was given the authorization to move forward. I have also had the required EKG and clearance for related obstacles (thyroid condition) to move ahead.

I am not trying to be difficult or undermine the fact that most of you have paid dearly for a program that works for you to become healthier citizens. I'm just a little disappointed that I have gotten no response at all.....Again, Thank you for all who have posted so much information. I would like to state that I had already received the written booklet from a friend that attends Dr. Bloy's office in Ft. Myers and that is what was shown to my Dr.

Congratulations again on each and everyone of you for improving your health.....that makes me less apt to meet you in a hospital setting when I begin working as a Respiratory Therapist.

cdhand,

A lot of us view post throughout the day and post responses at a later time.
We are all busy people and I for one prefer to take the time to give a supportive and helpful response rather than a quick answer to a long post such as yours.

I am sure you will get many responses to your post as this is a very helpful and supportive group of people. It just has to be when it is convenient for us. I hope you understand. Please check back later and I am sure you will have plenty to read.

Good luck to you on your weight loss journey.

McBoo

You will find the support you need on this forum. Sometimes there are no posts for half a day. I do the same as McBoo and will sometimes read the posts quickly early in the day and them respond later in the day when I have the most time to sit and think through my responses. I want to give helpful and encouraging advice, not just a knee gut response. I also worry that I post too much, as I have a very outgoing personality. Many of the people on this forum work too. I hope you stick with it and give us all a chance.

Be sure to read the Newbie threads as they are very helpful in the first week of the plan. Good luck.

Susie

and I wish you much luck and success going it on your own without going to the clinic weekly. I believe it can be done but I know for myself how I use the visits to the clinic to hold me accountable and keep me on task. Knowing that I have to go there and step on the scales keeps me making progress because since I have been going there now for the last 5 months I have gotten to know all the staff there and I would be embarased to have gained weight.

I also like the fact that the clinic did a full bloodwork analysis when I started and the fact the scales they have monitor not only your weight loss but your bodyfat %, Lean Body Mass and Total Body Water levels so you know if you are truely losing bodyfat. This is important because many times when people go on diets a good percentage of the weight they lose is muscle and water and then when they stop dieting they gain back some or all of the weight and now are even fatter than they were previously due to that muscle loss.

Thank you for responding....and I apologize if I came across as harsh.

I look forward to encouraging each of you as you have done for others with positive enthusiasm.

Jon, the reason I was at my Dr's was to get bloodwork completed for working in the Hospital beginning in April. I had to have all kinds of test plus Hepatitis, TB, etc.....I will be weighing in wkly at the College under the watchful eye of Dr.'s and Prof's. A couple of us are doing the MWL program as we know when we begin Clinicals next month we will need to be in better shape as we run from floor to floor.

Weigh in will be on Mondays....I look forward to posting my first weeks results in the March thread.
