cdhand5,

Good luck on your weigh in. Let us know how it goes. Are you finding the sublingual B-12 helps?

When I want a peanut butter fix I simply get out my tablespoon and fill it with Skippy Natural Creamy and eat! This week I cut out my string cheese and added the PB. 90 calories per TBS 8g fat,3g carb,1g fiber,1.5g sugar, 3.5g protein.
I do not eat this everyday but I have had much more success this week and PB satisfies me a lot more than string cheese!
I weigh in today and will post later. Sherrie

Lost 2 pounds. The clinic thinks I'm not eating enough protein calories. I'm adding more lean protein calories and increasing my liquid this week and maybe I will have a better loss next week. 11 pounds in 4 weeks is not enough. I'm bummed.

Weigh-in

I weighed in right after winning a 3 set-in-a-tie-breaker tennis match (just thought I'd throw that in....LOL). It was also very windy. BUT...I gained 0.1 lb. Bummer. My energy level stayed good, though, and I'm planning on a nice loss next week. I've found I can't quite make it through 18 holes of golf without crawling the last bit. That's 20 lbs. gone in 6 weeks. As "Bill" would say, I'm in this "one day at a time".

I hope everyone has great weigh-ins this week.

Congrats to jbiggers, Sherrie, Jan (and anyone else I may have missed) on your weight loss this week. You are all doing great!

I lost another 1.4 pounds for a total of 44.4 pounds. This is the first time I have ever lost weight every week for 16 straight weeks. And my goal is within reach. I am so excited!

Good Monday fellow MWL peeps Hope everyone is off to a good week. I am starting my week off good, got up at 4am and went and worked out my lower body and did some much needed cardio. I came down with whatever the heck is going around, AGAIN this past weekend and I for some reason cheated every day I am soo mad at myself, but I'm not going to let that get me down, so I say. ha ha I just started my day off like normal and will only consume protein for the next few days to get back into ketosis. I may finish the week out like you do for week one and have no veggies/carbs until next week. I am supposed to go for my weigh in on Friday, but I feel like such a failure, I'm almost too embarassed to go. I was right at my goal weight (110) and was given a "buffer" to lose at least 5 more lbs or so. I felt like I gained 10 lbs this past weekend, even though I know to begin with, I never gained all my excess weight in 3 days and it didn't take 3 days to get it off either. Just a bummer, but I'm definitely trying to keep my head up and be in good spirits so I can continue on the rest of the week and so forth.. Well, have a great night and I'll talk back soon

I am keeping myself busy so i don't think about eating...

I had a hard time getting all of the calories in yesterday. I ate 2 servings of chicken breast last night to get up to 480. I've read in a lot of posts that it's important to get the 500 calories in.

I want this so bad...so I cannot let anything get in my way!
All I can tell you is it does get easier. After the first week you will start to feel so much better. Just keep your calories up , even if it is difficult. Good luck, you can do this!

Great job

The water is really important. Try to get it in. It does make a difference.

Good luck this week.

You have done a great job, 11 lbs. are gone in 4 weeks! Don't be disappointed with that, you should be proud. But if the clinic says your results will be better with increasing your protein, then try that. I am routing for you!!!

Nicole,
You are back on track and you know how to make the correction. Make sure you get your water in this week. Try to keep your appointment it probably isn't as bad as you think it is. It may only be water weight gain that will be gone by the time you weigh in. When you are sick you have to take care of yourself first.

Good luck this week. If you keep your appointment let us know how it goes.

Jan J,

When I was weighing in every week I didn't work out on the day of my weigh in. I think my body was holding on to extra water from working out.

Good luck this week and let's see that nice loss you are looking for. You can do it.

Weigh-in today

McBoo,I think you're right about working out possibly holding in the water. Being a nice, warm HUMID day here in Texas, I drank quite a bit, too. Figuring 8+lbs/gallon =0.5lb /cup. And I gained 0.1lb???....hmmmmm. Did I really need that last sip?? Actually, it will all even out sometime....lol.

I heard that you should drink a glass of water before weighing. It is suppose to get a more accurate reading on the scale. Has anyone heard of this before?

Haven't heard that one before. I would be curious to see if it is true. Let us know if you find out.

Congratulations to Jerry, Sherrie, Jan, Grettagirl, Susie on your weight loss! Way to go...hope I got everyone in!

You know, I have done both....walked my 3 miles before the weigh in and not walked by 3 miles before my weigh in, and it does appear to make a small difference in the water percentages. Not terribly scientific, totally anecdotal, so take it for what it is worth!

Today is a rough day for me, a position I really really hoped for is not going to happen. Got the "thank you for your interest" letter this morning before I headed out for a dental appointment, thankfully after my walk. Not even an interview. My former leaders all wrote references for me, and my review was amazing. Just not really sure what was actually wanted because every qualification they asked for, I have. At any rate, after getting back from the dentist, I really was feeling down in the dumps....way down...and as I thought about what I could do to get myself out of this mood...I just put on my tennies and headed out to hike South Mountain. Now I still feel sad but am really really tired! Not hungry, not angry, not lonely, just tired. And that is a little predictor of trouble too....so next on the list is a little meditation. Tomorrow is another day.
Sorry to bore you with those details, probably TMI. But I do feel better writing it down.

Okay, got back from my weigh in. I lost 5 pounds of fat, but only had a 2.7 pound loss on the scale. The beer caught up with me and I retained some water. Don't think I will be consuming any more alcohol anytime soon. I am so excited though. I have officially lost 20.7 pounds in 5 weeks.

Anyone have any suggestions about getting rid or making them less visible of stretch marks? I am really starting to see them with the weight I have lost.

Everybody is doing a great job! Keep it up! This group has helped me tremendously. I picked up two new recipes at the clinic today that I am going to try to scan in.

Does anybody have any suggestions on any good cookbooks?

WOE: Medi Weight Loss Clinic
Start Date: February 09,2009
[QUOTE=mathteacher;11675380]Okay, got back from my weigh in.

Now that is the weight loss I want to see! You are doing great. As far as the stretch marks are concerned, tanned skin will make them less noticable. Sherrie
