Lori

You are doing so well Lori. Make sure you drink plenty of water while you are in Orlando. I am sure you will get plenty of exercise in while there.

Have fun.

Way to go, Rhonda!

And congrats to everyone who has lost weight this week!

And welcome to all our new members!

My weigh in on Friday will be interesting as it has been two weeks.
I do not expect spectacular results as I am getting close to the
50 lb level, but any loss at all is a good thing! I look for consistency
with the plan. Consistent weight/fat loss and a consistent drop in the BMI.

My weigh in this week is Friday, tomorrow is my birthday so I hope a good weight loss will my my gift! But if I hit my 25 mark I plan on a new hairdo! Trying to celebrate the goals with something other than food as I usually do!

Orlando2002, abitless, Lori, 2009ismyear and Rhonda, congrats on this weeks weight loss. Nikki, a special congrats to you! Can't wait to see McBoo and Celia have company in their maintenance phase. They look lonely!

Bama09. You've picked a great plan. I hope you are prepared for this to work and have a budget for a new wardrobe.

And Phyllis, ! I think a new hairdo is just the thing you need to celebrate whether or not you hit 25 pounds. (But that is a moot point, cause you undoubtedly will)

Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi everyone,
Congratulations to all of you who are doing such a great job. you are all great inspirations.
I am a little sad today, i don't weigh in for my second week until friday, but have been weighing myself at home(i know... a big no no!) so i think i only lost a couple of pounds if any at all.. and my husband is doing so well, and he looks great! but, i am doing so much better on the diet as far as following it!
he looks so good and i don't see a change in me!
but on a good note, my blood sugars have been completely normal!
i started to exercise and walk today to hopefully kick it up a little.

Hang in there you just started! You will lose inches faster than weight. Stay off the scales and drink all your water.Make sure you get 500 protein calories every day. Good Luck. Sherrie

I don't know what everyone's expectations for weight loss are but I think 15.5 pounds in a month is great! I say slow and steady...get into a grove and stay with it! Congratulations!!!!

hello again everyone! Congrats to all the losers and maintainers this week. I'm always typing here on my cell phone so I hope everone will forgive me for not calling them by name, but its a challenge. (hubby dropped my computer and just got it repaired....)
Had my weigh in yesterday after being so "off plan" last week. Back in ketosis now for a few days and really trying to stick with it. Anyway, lost 1.9 lbs total. Lost about 4 lbs fat but gained some water---probably would be TOM but with ovaries only, it's a bit hard to tell. And I'm having some back problems and had steroid injections in my vertebrae, which can also cause fluid retention. Anyway, I've lost 64.9 lbs total with 46.5 lbs to go. "Slow and steady wins the race..."
By the way, got the miracle noodles in and really didn't like them... Going to try again with something else but wow...felt like I was eating tentacles.
Anyway good luck all, and keep sharing! Very helpful and inspirational.

Hi Crism2003

I used Miracle noodles yesterday and the whole family like it:

2 TBSP EVOO
4 crushed garlic cloves
1 bag frozen brocolli - defrosted
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
Miracle noodles - rinsed and dried

Heat EVOO and garlic to infuse oil with garlic flavor, add chicken and cook until done, you may need to add alittle more EVOO. Add Miracle Noodles and cook for about 3 or 4 minutes until they develop a little browning. Add brocolli and cook until brocolli is hot.

My family added grated parm to theirs but it was fine without.

Hope this helps with those noodles!

I have to go to Olive Garden tomorrow for lunch. I work from home but once a month my work group meets for lunch to socialize etc... I am in my second week and I really don't want to eat out yet, but must go to this lunch.

What do you guys recommend I order so that I don't cheat. I am thinking the chicken cesar salad, no croutons, hold the dressing and only eat half?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I would order grilled chicken breast and steamed brocolli. It should not be a problem to get that. Just ask.

Good luck.
