I am in my first week and still have a craving for sweets. Any advice?

I chew a piece of Stride sugar free gum if I start feeling a craving for sweets. My favorite is the "Always Mandarin" flavor.

Same thing. Sugar free gum definitely was a life savor during first week. Alos the Crystal Light Berry Hydration is very sweet and that helped during first week.

Best of luck...we've all been there.

This will go away with time, as your body gets used to not having sweets.

That being said, this is also why Medi offers our high protein, low carb shakes in chocolate and vanilla.

Also, our chocolate or cinnamon high protein bars help tame anyone's sweet tooth!

The Medi shakes are a help use less water more ice and with practice you can get a thicker consistency almost like a frozen yogurt. Some clients are adding crystal light to them as well.

I am a BIG sweets lover (certain times more than others) but I do not like ANY of those artificial sweeteners....help!!!

I will chew gum (which also helps with the horrible dry mouth) but I like a little sugar in my coffee (just a little) and piece of chocolate from time to time

You surely are not using sugar and eating chocolate in the program at this time are you? Neither of those items are allowed in the acute phase.
This concerns me because you are sabotaging your own efforts. Have you tried Stevia?

Uh, yes.. sugar and chocolate are definitely not part of the program. That is not great advice to give somebody who is struggling with craving.

Well, another option is go sweet-free til the worst of the cravings go away. Is that possible for you? I mean AS and everything. Some can, some can't but it seems to work.

Another solution: I use L-glutamine stirred into a small amount of heavy cream (a la Dr. Atkins) and it really does work!
