Had my first appointment last night. I am so excited to be starting this again because I know how well it works! A lot has improved since 2008, even the office I go to expanded and took over more of the building. How cool is that?
Im not looking forward to this week because I remember how much it sucked last time, but I also know its well worth it. They were able to pull my records from 2008 and I only lost 3.2 pounds the first week. Hoping to do far better this time! |

I have read thru the boards that each center is independently owned.. Oddly, in Rhode island, the same doctor owns all 3 offices in the state. |

I didnt take it with food immediately, maybe 30min later. I will definitely next time. As far as water, I too have been making a path. The good thing I am at home twice a week, but yesterday, when I had to drink alot of water for the initial consultation, I could bearly get any work done as I was running to the bathroom, which is not close!
. tomorrow will be a a challenge! Drinking that much water, is a challenge within itself |

Eating bone-in things is like eating lobster...not worth the effort to me after prying it all off. I like ripping open a plastic bag and shoving 4 ozs of turkey down - but that's just me - Mr. Vegas.

funny you say that, I had crab this weekend, and although I knew it, I was still upset of all that work and not getting much out. especially if that is all I am eating... I am going to the store a lil later, so I will pick up some easier options..

Have you found any place else to buy MWL bars/shakes rather than the assuredly inflated clinics?

I have not asked if these are acceptable yet, but when i was trying to do my own thing, I ate a lot of these
Power Crunch Protein Energy Bar, Triple Chocolate. because they were really tasty for a protein bar, and were $14.99 for a box of twelve instead of $16 for a box of 7... They are twice as many calories, and 10g more fat as compared to the Medi Chocolate bar, BUT they have less sodium, a couple grams more protein and 1 less carb. I am going to take these in next week and see what the nutritionist says. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because these are way cheaper... Run 'em by your nutritionist, see what they say check 'em out |

I left my first appt with B12 shot, B6 shot, plastic scale, storage bag (looks like little 6 pack cooler), Fish Oil, Vitamin, Calcium, Colon Cleanse, and Fat Burner. Everything was included in the initial visit cost except for the Fish Oil and Calcium (I had to buy their stuff the first time in order to use my discount coupon; I won't buy their brand again -- it is a commodity product and cheaper elsewhere). I think they would have also included a prescription appetite suppressant in that price if you wanted it. My weekly $70 visit includes the B12 shot (can also go for midweek shot included in that price). The B6 shot is an extra $10. |

first weigh in
Well, I lost 6 lbs on my first weigh in. I was hoping for 10 but at least 4 of those pounds were fat. This week has been much easier, so far. Good luck to all of you that just started. It really does get better.

If you are near Costco, pick up a small shrimp platter. It makes a great quick and easy dinner during 1st week. It is the perfect amount to share between 2-3 people and even have some left for a lunch the next day. I usually add a salad or veggies for my family and I enjoy the shrimp!

I take 3 to 4 ounces of cold pre-cooked shrimp, sprinkle with Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning, hit it with a few sprays of 0 calorie "butter" spray and microwave for 20 seconds (be careful not to overheat).

OK.....lesson #1 from me.
Don't go to a bar with a friend at 830pm when you just got finished working out. I ate about 9 chips and when I got home to log the calories....at least the jalapenos i put on them were only 5 calories. However, I didn't have a beer or anything (primarily cuz im cheap) so I got all my water in sitting there. |
