hey everyone! i just started today. doing pretty well so far. the appetite suppresants helped all day until i got to about 5pm, then i was hungry the rest of the night even after eating dinner. so that was a little tough. and i've had a headache all day. but other than that, it's been a breeze! i also have Celiac disease, so i'm getting used to no carb/low carb. i'm so excited about this! just wanted to say hi!

CAgril, glad to see your first day wasn't too bad. I went for my initial appointment today and will be starting tomorrow. Got the lowdown on it all at the clinic and met really wonderful people there as well. Got both the injections and will now try to plan out my next week foods. Good luck!

Welcome, You say you are above moderate ketosis that indicates you are most likely not getting all your water in 128oz per day minimum. You also do not have any stats in your profile so we don't know what your starting and goal weights are. If you only have a small amout to lose the weight loss is going to be in smaller increments. In response to your question in the medi recipe questions and comments thread the acute phase is the phase from start till you reach your goal weight. Please add your stats to your signature that way we can have a better idea of where you are. You may also want to join us in the main thread for September it gets a lot more traffic. administrator or moderator?
Hi, I think I answered my own question about the canadian bacon and the answer is NO! lol
Now can someone please tell me how to get in touch with a moderator or administrator because I have an important question for them? I need to change something that the board says only they can do. Thanks again |

Well, I am on day 5 and doing so-so. Have had a headache for 2 days now. Also, since having both injections again yesterday I am really feeling tired, not sure why but just noticed yesterday. Any ideas? I go back to the clinic Friday for my first weigh in after being on the program a week,,,,hopefully it will show good results.

You can add the approved veggies as long as you are in ketosis. Make sure you weigh them and I would only do the vegetables until you talk with your clinic on Friday. Fruit, even approved, are higher in carbs then our veggies. My clinic recommened I do more veggies because you get more bang for your buck. Good luck!

At my clinic fruit wasn't added until week 3. Personally I would hold off till your weigh in on Friday if you can. It's only one more day and you will be able to have a discussion with your counselor to decide your best course of action. McBoo |

My clinic added the fruit on week 2 but recommended I eat it sparingly, all clinics have their own protocol, if you really feel like vegetables or fruit give your clinic a call and ask what you should do. Everyone is going to offer different opinions and you need to find what works best for you and through your staff.

thanks! yeah, my clinic adds fruit on week 2, but i will definitely do it sparingly. i'm really craving veggies and salads though! which is weird for me, because normally i don't like them that much! i can't wait to have some yummy salads and grilled veggies with some protein! |

Hey Carolina Girl. I recently (yesterday) started at the Medi that you are going to in Ballantyne - so today was my first official day. I really can't tell that the AS is doing anything at all. I have been very hungry all day - but committed to taking it one day at a time. I have been reading the posts, so I will try the chicken broth idea when I get home. Hope you are doing well. Wanted to reach out to you since we are at the same Medi.

Welcome Gina! I am also in Charlotte (just go to a different clinic). Hope you have a great first week. You are right...just take it one day at a time! This is a great program and definitely does work!

New to Program
Hello All!
I am going to my very first Medi Weightloss appointment on Monday! I'm both excited and a little apprehensive. I'm glad that I found this forum so that I can be encouraged by others who have gone on this journey before me and by those who are still on the journey! |

Hi all,
I had my appointment on Monday afternoon so today is my second day with the program. I was weighted at 205 with 29 BMI. The goal is 170. The first two days have been very easy for me and I have never dieted before. They put me on a 700 calorie per day and it’s enough since I have not really been hungry. I must say my energy is amazing. You guys are awesome here with all this information and recipes, thank you all. I’m glad I have found this place. Andy |

Don't be surprised that the diet has been easy. This diet is clear, simple and easy for those who choose to commit to follow it as it is (not so easy for those who try to work their way "around" the straightforward structure). For someone who has never dieted before, you picked the right one the first time! Good luck, and don't forget to join us and post over on the September thread. - Jane |
