Spaghetti squash is a winter squash and we are not allowed to have winter squash in the acute phase as it is a starchier vegetable and has too many carbs. Go light on the vegetables tomorrow and you should go right back into ketosis. Cauliflower, although it is allowed, sends me out of ketosis every time I have it, so no cauliflower for me.

Thanks Susie for the info on winter squash, I thought I was being "good" while my family ate pasta, guess not! I love cauliflower too, but I will see how much that effects the ketones, maybe I should limit that too!I will take your advise and go easy on veggies tomorrow.

GrettaGirl,

As Suzie has pointed out that is not the best choice of veggie for this stage of the plan.

We look forward to hearing great things from you.

Thank you for the advise on the spaghetti squash, I will make sure I stick to the list of acceptable veggies from now on. I did feel disappointed to bump out of ketosis so quickly, but good news, back in again! I went in for the extra mic shot today and staff agreed with Susie's suggestion to have mostly protein today.

It is a medically supervised weight loss program.

Medi-Weightloss Clinics® - Physician-supervised weight loss clinics

They teach you how to eat low carb and low calorie and provide weekly injections and consultations as well as prescription apetite suppresants. Honestly it is the best thing I have ever done trying to lose weight and get healthy.

Newbie TBA in RI

Well, I am going to pick up the phone and make the appointment. The only question I have is any side effects on sleeping patterns?? I read that the prescription appetite supressants, which are basically like amphetamines, have a possible side effect on sleep.

ANy comments would be appreciated!!!
Thanks!

Rebirthgirl,

Congratulations on deciding to start the medi weightloss program it really does work.

As far as sleep patterns with the appetite suppressants everyone reacts differently. They didn't effect my sleep patterns at all when I was taking them. In fact on a couple of occassions I had taken them as late as 8pm. I could also drink a double espresso at 10pm and sleep soundly. Those things just don't seem to effect me. You will need to see how they effect you personally and make any modifications necessary.

Good Luck.

The latest I would take my last one was 4pm and I never had trouble sleeping even though I go to bed early. They did bother some of my friends on the program but when they moved up the time of their last one to 3 or before they were fine.
