Week One

Two things I'm unsure of.......are you allowed to have mustard during Week One?

Also....I've heard different things about the lemon-pepper wings at wingstop. Are those okay week one?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

I used mustard in week 1 and continue to use it very often. I prefer the spicy brown kind. I use it alot of times mixed with my tuna instead of Mayo to save on calories and fat.

Thanks!

One more question about week one........are we allowed the Waldon Farms condiments? I remember my nutritionist telling me about them, but can't remember if they were okay for week one or just for later.

Thanks!

Yes you are as long as they are the ones that are zero calories, zero fat and zero carbs. Check the labels because some of their items do not fall into that calorie.

Good Luck on your first week.

Some things are ok. Others are awful. The chocolate syrup is delicious.

The marinara isn't bad if you add some of your own dry spices same with the scampi sauce.

There are better options for ketchup and BBQ sauce once you get a little further into the plan.

I was snooping and found this post on an Atkins forum. I can't tell if the lemon pepper wings would be okay? I know earlier I was told no, I have no idea if they have skin on them or not? I'm still in week one. Let me know what you think, and THANKS for all the information!

Thank you for your interest in our menu items. It is always our goal to satisfy our guests. We have a number of items on our menu,
with recipes that are subject to slight changes throughout the year. We do not have the nutritional values calculated for these
items. Since we prepare our food fresh to order, the recipe specifications for preparation can vary. Thus, we are unable to provide
detailed information regarding the ingredients/nutritional information of our menu items.

We can provide you with the following information regarding our sauces:

There are no carbohydrates in the Hot, Atomic, Cajun, Mild, and Lemon Pepper sauces.

There is no fat in the Hot, Atomic, and Cajun sauces.

Additionally, our Original Hot Sauce has 0g Total Fat, 0g Cholesterol, 140 mg Sodium, 0g Carbohydrates and Sugars and 0g Protein.

Of course, we cook our chicken from a raw state with no added breading.

We hope this information helps. Thanks again for your interest.

Yes, you can have the Waldon Farms condiments week 1, as see on the shopping list. Yes, only have the dressings that are labeled as zero calories. Obviously, it's not a "true" zero, as the number was rounded down. So be sure to stick with the serving size on the label.

I have a few questions for my week 1. It is my understanding that this is a completely carb free week?

1. can i have sf/ff 0 carb 10 calorie jello??

2. I found that a lot of the 98% ff lunch meats have <1 carb in a serving...can i have these??

3. cottage cheese....i couldn't find any cottage cheese with out at least 2 carbs per serving...any suggestions?

4. I bought eggbeaters and they have 2g carbs per serving??

grrrr lol

help?

I was told that the cold meats are ok..same with cottage cheese & egg beaters. I was told no jell-o first week. Hope this helps.

Jackie,

Try a EAS Advantedge protein drink (make sure it is the one that is 110 calories). It might help with the headache. My doctor specifically said I could have the sf ff jello the first week even though the materials she handed me said not to. She crossed that out. It might have been because I was working out regularly (and have been for years). She also put my protein calories to 700. I lost 10 pounds the first week, so it must not have hurt me too much. The important thing is to get into ketosis. If you are not after the 3rd or 4th day, you might want to cut the jello out.

Jackie,

Read the Welcome Newbies thread. I and others posted a lot of good tips specifically to get through week 1.
