We are going to a progressive dinner and my partner will be marrying the couple that is hosting the first stop. 3 different locations Have no idea what the food will be like at the different stops but at least I don't have to cook today and I am the DD (Designated Driver).

Happy New Year to all. My mantra tonite is stay put and stay our of trouble. We're driving to the beach to a friends house, settling in and having steaks, salad and spinach casserole (and of course the extra brut). Once we get there we're not planning to move until its time to come home tomorrow. My new years resolution - to still wear a size 6 pants next new years! Ya'll stay safe.
(Mcboo I left you a message on the old thread)

Living here in a college town and having two kids, we just stay home. I know sounds boring but we don't like dealing with the crowds.

Thanks for the new thread. It's 74 degrees here in Orlando. We are going to celebrate New Years Eve with movies, wine and champagne. Then at 12:01am my husband will wish me a happy birthday and we will be off to bed. I'm having around 20 people over tomorrow for brunch, so need my rest. Then on Friday I will be taking all my decorations down and so goes another holiday season.

Hello

Hello everyone and happy new year! I have been reading this board since the end of October, and I have decided to take the plunge! I start on Medi tomorrow. I have my pills and I did my grocery shopping today - bought some low sodium boar's head ham for easy lunches; got my egg beaters and canadian bacon for breakfast; and bought mostly chicken for dinner. I did buy a few cans of the Swanson fat free, low sodium chicken broth. The whole can is 30 calories and 2 grams of carbs. Since it is low sodium, can I have this every day?

Happy New Year!!

Sammie

Shutterbug35,

Congratulations on starting medi. The program really does work. Are you going to the Fort Myers or Cape Coral clinic?

Yes you can have it everyday and it will really help you get through the first couple of weeks.

Good luck. Let us know how you are doing and please feel free to ask any questions. Everyone here is very helpful.

Funny thing is my sister's birthday is today, but she is 5 years older. They got lucky once, but not with me and my father has never let me forget it. Thanks for the birthday wishes.

Susie
P.S. To be honest, a little bit of cooler weather would have made it feel a bit more like Christmas. We hardly got to use our fireplace. Enjoy getting cozy by the fire!

Happy New Year to ALL and Happy birthday to Susie!

I am a little depressed after weigh-in this afternoon....
Only lost 1 lb this week (sigh) I have not gone off plan either. I am still losing fat so we have decided it is my upcoming TOM viist next week (water retention). I got the extra b6 shot Monday and another today and will go ahead and get the double shot again next Monday. ** Deemac check with your clinic about the "mix" shot, both the MIC and b6 in one shot (in the hip) this one does not hurt or bun at all!

I am not going to wallow in my self pity - I promise.
Stopped at the market and got myself a 4 oz Filet (hubby got a lb and a half porterhouse.....) and I am going to make the Medi crustless spinach quiche for our dinner tonight.

Down a total of 16 lbs overall for 27 days is not a bad things afterall. (11.8 lbs of the lose is fat to boot)

Hi McBoo, I'm going to the Fort Myers clinic. I forgot to ask them if there was a limit on the chicken broth. I know you said I could have it everyday - but can I have more than 1 can a day, or should I only stick to the one can? Congratulations on your weight loss. You look terrific!!!!

Rhonda - hi! I'm glad you're starting tomorrow as well. It helps when you have someone to talk to who is going thru what you are also going thru. My weigh in will be Wed at 8am. I bought Boar's Head as well because it's lean. They didn't tell me low sodium ... I only bought it because my daughter eats a lot of ham and I just figured the lower sodium would be more healthy for her.

Happy New Year and Happy New US!! My husband and I started today. It is wonderful to have newbies starting with me. I have one question I feel very tired this afternoon and I was curious if that is normal or just me being tired.? I appreciate all of your support. We will keep you updated.

Shutterbug35,

If you are going to have more than 1 I would switch to the fat-free/low sodium College Inn chicken broth in the 32oz carton not the can because a whole carton of that only has 20 calories. It also counts towards your liquid intake. remember it is low sodium not sodium free so that could cause some water retention if you have too much. I would say 1 1/2 at most per day of the College Inn or 1 of the Swanson.

The Fort Myers clinic is really a great one. They are very knowledgeable about the plan and they are all on it including Dr. Bloy.

Good luck.

Cdarling,

That is normal as you start to increase your appetite suppresants to the full dosage and take your fat burners your energy will increase. Also do not hesitate to go in for the extra complimentary MIC injection during the week. It will definatly help your energy levels. Week one is the hardest but you will get through it. On week two you will be able to add some veggies and it will really make a difference.

Good luck and congratulations to you and your husband for choosing the medi lifestyle change. It really does work.

Orlando Medi Clinic

Hi Susie -

I have been on Medi since the day after Thanksgiving and doing fine. My daughter lives in Orlando and is getting ready to sign up - on friday, if she can get an appointment. I was wondering if there is only one Medi place in Orlando and if so, are you pleased with them? I know each place is different but all have the same underlying plan. Just wanting to make sure that she has great care - she is my heart and I am so proud of her for taking a step to take care of herself. Once she gets signed up - I will certainly get her to join our board as she will need all the great encouragement that everyone on here provides!

Thank you all - so great to have friends like you! Happy New Year!

Susan

Hi Susan,

I just googled Medi-Weightloss Orlando and the only one that shows up is the one I go to on Sand Lake in Dr. Phillips. I have been very happy with the staff and the doctor. There is a $25 coupon for the first visit that just came in the mail this week. It came with the loose coupons including Don Pablo. If she didn't get one maybe I can send her one in the mail. I always save them.

Congrats on you decision to join. It was a good choice.
