Thank you to anyone in advance if you do have any examples from people who have been in a similar situation.
I really think everyones loss is different. But I am sure that you will lose alot at first then it will slow down a bit. Since you only have 24 lbs to lose I would say give it 6 weeks. I hope I don't get blasted for giving a time frame

Dee,

The best advice I can give you is don't beat yourself up about any slip up's you have or let it make you give up. We all have our challenges and setbacks on this journey but it is important not to lose sight of the goal of being healthy.

I sometimes find myself getting frustrated if the weight isn't comming off as fast as I wish it would or if I have given in to a craving and have some carbs that are not that healthy for me but in the end I realize this is a lifestyle change and not a diet so any slip ups or frustrations I have, I must just take a deep breath, blow it out, relax and get right back to living my life.

I felt like posting the same thing this morning. I am getting a little frustrated but I guess that is typical for me at least once a week I haven't really "cheated" but I have been lazy with measurements and have had almonds probably 3-4 times this week. (About 10 each time) I also weigh myself every morning and yesterday and today I am at 209. At my appointment on Monday I was 208 and that is what the scale at home showed--up until yesterday morning. I know though, that even if I go higher in my daily fat intake, that my calories are still quite low and within my range of 500-700. So what gives??? I am also working out...I'm drinking my water...I'm saying no to bad things...I'm diversifying my meals...argh. My jeans ARE falling off of me today (TGIF--jeans day) but these are my super fat jeans that I had to borrow a few months ago when my other fat pants didn't even fit anymore. Ha. But these are really falling off...so I try to remember that. Also....ladies....it's almost time for.........so I am trying to relate some of this to that.
So...Deemac....let's hang in there....we can do it!! We have to!!!!

Cheers to our health...

Anne

I know we get so fixated on the number that the scale reads. I too am the same. I am really trying hard not to look at the number on the scale, but the amount of fat that I lose. I only see this number at the clinic. My weight does go up or down 2 lbs depending on what I ate the day before. I have this week really focused on cutting my sodium down and drinking plenty of water. Anne if you are working out alot then you will have to even drink more water. I know its hard, but I am willing to bet that the scale is higher on you because of water weight. Hang in there you can do it.

Wow Jerry! Look at our picture!!! You are doing it!!! I love to see everyone's progress!

I weighed in this morning - lost 1.1 lbs in 2 weeks, not so great but I have been way out of ketosis a few times in the past 2 weeks as I have had alot of business engagements that has killed me with temptation, however, I quickly have got back on track after slipping. We all need to remember that we can't live in a vacuum forever and we are going to have those times when we mess up. The biggest lesson is what to do about those increased carb days - exercise, increase water intake and return to high protein low carbs as soon as possible. I was expecting to gain a little this time, but pleased that I lost a pound. I am getting closer to my goal so I know it going to be slower, but I am still very pleased!

Ready to kick butt these next 2 weeks!

Weigh In results today

Hit the BIG 40lbs loss today. My week was a loss of 4lbs and 3lbs of it was water, which I was really focusing on this week. I don't know why my FFM went down and my Fat % went up slightly. I have always loss more fat then pounds while on the program. They even said that I am not the norm, since I have loss a total of 45 lbs of fat, but loss 40lbs of weight showing on the scale. I am a bit confused about that, does the loss of water weight effect the FFM?

I figure at this rate I should be in maitance in March

I think it does! My fat% went up a bit but I lost a bunch of water. Asked my nurse about it and it has to do with your body dealing with the water loss, it tends to want to hold onto the fat.

Yes, FFM is Fat Free Mass. It includes Water, Muscle, Bone, etc. If you lost 4 pounds but only a pound of it was fat then your percentage of bodyfat would have to go up.

I'm not certain exactly how they calculate things but Lean Muscle contains about 75% water and fat contains about 14% water, bone has 22% water.

ok people--I just got my miracle noodles and OH MY GOD!!! THEY ARE TRULY A MIRACLE.
Wondering how everyone feels about them and what their experience has been...
I have a very good...very thin--Japanese friend in her 50's and she says she has been eating this noodle her whole life. Its a secret amongst Japanese women to keep thin and also keep things "moving"...she is going to give me a bunch of recipes.
What kind of fullness have people has with them..any weird side effects...? I know i know.."just accept the gift of the miracle noodle..Andrea " I just cannot help thinking too good to be true.
i had them with a bit of chicken broth ...one laughing cow wedge melted and some Cracked Black Pepper and a little salt. OH MY GOODNESS!! YUM! Like Mac and Cheese Medi Style.
YIPEE YAHOOEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I treat them just like spaghetti...last night I had some with spray butter and parmesan cheese. I've also had them with diced tomatoes and seasonings....I've put them in broth for "soup"...I wonder if I could make an Asian-y dish with them...?

EXTRA B6 SHOTS!
I got the extra B6 shots before, during and after my TOM and it really seemed to help with the cravings and water retention. Well worth the extra $$$ IMO.

ok people--I just got my miracle noodles and OH MY GOD!!!
I have not gotten the Miracle noodles yet only the Tofu ones.
Only weird side efect I had was, try and be delicate about this....... was the morning after BM, the noodles don't seem to digest completly if you follow me.
