Today

Between yesterday and today I feel so dizzy and I don't feel hungry but I know my body and I think I am not getting enough of something. Today I came home after having a bar that the clinic sales for breakfast and college inn chicken soup with miracle noodles in it. When I came home I had to eat something so I got an apple small and a tablespoon of smart balance peanut butter and thank god I felt better. When I go to get weighed in tomorrow I have to ask if I am in starvation mode. Now I am waiting for dinner to be ready. Anybody feeling this way. Rhonda

Rhonda,
I am not sure exactly what is in the bar you ate for breakfast but it sounds like you are not getting enough protein. Chicken broth and miracle noodles might fill you up but it is basically "nothing"....You need to make sure that the foods you are eating are giving you significant protein...not just low calories. You probably would have felt better if you had a cheese stick and some turkey pepperoni, too. I keep that stuff on hand because I can snack on it quickly and feed my body without reverting to carbs.
I wouldn't be surprised if your clinic tells you that you are not eating enough. When I did the program the first time, I did it "too hard, too fast" and was barely getting more than 300 calories a day. I'd have the chicken broth as a meal with no added protein and not only did it wear me out but it made me feel dizzy, weak and it was harder to stick to such restrictions when tough food choices were before me.
Start experimenting with chicken and lunch meats, low fat cheeses, etc. Turn to a source of protein when you are feeling weak like you were earlier.

I hope this helps and I hope you feel better!!

I know, and I am going to be really upset if that's the reason why. He's the one person who is always here for everyone!

MCBOO

I wanted to take the time to show my appreciation for our fellow member MCBOO. This is a great website for motivation, information and inspiration. During my time on the plan I have always looked forward to great feedback from Mcboo. I would like for all of us that feel the same way to please PM him and let him know how much we appreciate his advice and helpfulness. While I am sure there may be other members that disagree, this is a message board and its not for everyone. I feel that McBoo your experience and success is very very helpful. The insight that you can give to people looking to do this program should be greatly respected. What you have accomplished is truly amazing. I feel that you deserve all the respect that you have given to fellow members.

Again I would encourage everyone who feels this way, please send McBoo a PM and let him know.

Thanks

I am going to be so ticked off if McBoo is gone from this site! I don't think I can do the diet without his daily postings and support. He was here long before Mama Mia and I know he will be here long after she is gone. McBoo, where are you! Please phone home! Your friends miss you!

If you go back to page 10 of this board, there is a post from McBoo. Click his name and you will get an option to send a private message.

McBoo's information and support is invaluable, IMO. Perhaps we should ignore the OP, and just focus on "us" and McBoo and Medi?

There you are! I was wondering how you were doing.....Your restart date says '08 not '09....lol....takes me some getting used to, too. How is your restart going?

Oh geez - thanks! I'll change it now. I'm doing well. I've been sick :-( other than that, I am ok. I go for my next weigh in on Wed the 21st. How are you? I do agree with you - it is definitely easier the second time around.

I am doing okay---first weigh-in was yesterday and I had lost 7 pounds. I am happy with that! I have some mini goals set...the first one being to get to the lowest I was when I was on the plan before. Not too much more to go for that. Sorry about your sickness! Darn winter colds....even in Florida

Rhonda - I think Anne is on the right path with her reply. I bet Mcboo would say the same thing. I did the same thing my second week, watched my calories sooooo close and was just not getting enough to eat (how ironic huh?) My clinic explained the starvation deal and I'll be darned eating over your calories really isn't such a bad thing (just a little though). My clinc doc told me to watch the carbs more than the calories - for me I try and stay around 10 to 15 carbs in a day and no more than 20 carbs in a day.
Hope this helps.

I am back. I was following the Bambi priciple. "If you can't say something nice don't say anything at all". Let's just say I agree to disagree. Should they wish to attack my comments that is their right but I can say that I will not let it get to me. I wish everyone success in their journey even those that may have a problem or disagree with me.

Food Today

Breakfast: 6 tbsp egg whites/1 turkey sausage patty
Lunch: 2oz Boar's Head turkey/ 1/4 cup cottage cheese
Snack: Turkey Sausage/low fat Sargento cheese stick
Dinner: Chicken bread with Frank's hot wing sauce/1 cup steamed broccoli with butter spray

I felt very hungry last night and today....perhaps due to TOM...staying strong though. I'm just trying to satiate myself with protein and not some other BAD temptation!

I have a new schedule starting tomorrow because of coaching softball. I'll be out of the house from 6:30am until 7:30pm(ish) most nights. I will have a break between 2:30pm and 4:15pm where I plan to work out and assume I will need to have a snack at that time. I am trying to figure out when I should take all of the pills to help me get through everything smoothly. I still want to eat grilled chicken or something when I get home from practice (late). Game nights will be rough but that wont be for another month or so. Also, it isn't unlike a softball coach to be chomping on some beef jerky now and then.

Sweet (I mean Low Carb) Dreams to all...

Whoohooo! He's back!

McBoo -

I am so glad that you took the high road! We love you and you are so needed by all of us on this board. That is why there are other plans on this bulletin board, if you don't like this one, go find the one that works for you. Glad that our family is all in tact and we welcome any new Medi participants. The postings and information on here are so important to all of us. Thanks for being the bigger person - ha! Bet you didn't know you would ever hear that again!

Dina,

In my absence I have been reading the boards and you haven't posted anything that would appear to be a problem. If you have been following the plan you will do great. You are doing so well and this week will not be different.
