Has anyone heard from Karazona??
So glad you opened up a September Threat for Medi--I got a postcard from them--offering 1/2 price on my visit-- and no upstart fee--not sure if I want to go back. haven't been back in a while, but lost another seven pounds on my own--When I have been bad for a day, I go back to strict protein only with a few veg and no fruit. It seems to work.

Got my mid week MIC today. In the 4 weeks, I only did twice. I did seem to have more energy today and was able to exercise. I guess that is the point, right.

Crohnie; thank you for the September thread.

Krissy66, where IS Karazona? I have been really concerned because I had sent her 2 private messages some time ago and have not heard from her. I hope she is doing well and maybe she started a new job and with school is just busy, but I have been so concern that if I knew her full name I have tried to locate her, I know she works at a hospital. Since you live in Boston, do you by chance no how to contact her? She's in my prayers, it's not like her to be gone for such a long period of time. Isn't interesting how we have become use to each other?

Hey Fonda, I am going to contact you and discuss with us having a "Low Carb taste testing" with all of us Kansas girls. Hopefully, we can choose a day that we will all be able to get together for an hour or two. I could host it in my home. We'll talk and see how can arrange it. Work is getting busier from now to the end of the year, I will be traveling or training often. so I would like to meet before it gets hectic.

Hello ladies. I fell off the lo-cal wagon this weekend. Why does alcohol have to have calories in it? Is nothing sacred? The good news is that it seemed to help with the constipation... (ha ha, ewwwww).

I weigh in and see the doctor tomorrow. Hope my guilt doesn't show on the scale!

Hey Krissy - you seem to be doing great on your own. You are following a modified plan, exercising often and you don't take the app suppresants so I'm not sure if going to a weekly appt at Medi is going to really help you out.
I would hold onto that coupon so if you feel like you need that extra level of accountability in the future you can cash it in.

I haven't heard from kirsten (karazona) - been wondering where she is. Hopefully everything is going well for her (she's probably just insanely busy).

They really do help. I get mine on Tuesdays so I can squeeze in one more work out for the week.

sounds like a plan - I once again have fallin off plan! I really need to find something that I can stick to. I notice you changed your stats 4+ loss - good for you. How are the callenetic tapes going? I was reading through the monthly thread - a lot of good results!

Just curious how long it took you to lose the first 50 pounds since that is my ultimate goal. Little goals along the way definitely help....like those jeans I'd love to wear in October

Day 1 on MWL
I'm a bit hungry this morning I have my water on my desk and swilling away. My attitude is positive that I can do this and stick with it to get to my 43lb goal. I think the days will be easier because they are busier than the evenings What do some of you do in the evening to keep occupied and out of fridge, cupboards or wine rack? Thanks

Thanks for the words of encouragement and direction. I think you are right. It's funny though....when I was following MEDI exactly, I got stuck for about three weeks at the exact same weight. So I decided to shake up my system, which appeared to stall probably because it went into starvation mode. I bumped up my calories significantly for a week, adding more fruits, some carbs and fats. Then....I shocked it by going pure protein for the past two weeks, and I have dropped another six pounds. Your body gets used to deprivation and slows your metabolism down. When you suprise it once in a while, it's like...."whoosh..." the pounds drop off again. Incidentally-take a look at Muscle Matters threads, especially ones by a woman named Inatic. She has been body building for years, she is in her late forties, and looks phenomenal.

Hi Everyone,

Well I had my 2nd weigh in on Wed. I only lost 3 lbs so was a bit sad as I have been following it to a T .. but my water intake I can only get in around 2-2.5 L a day not the 4. BUT I am still very proud of myself.

Thanks for all the support. I leave for a cruise next week so I hope I can continue on my roll. So far I have been able to follow it which makes me feel really proud of myself as this is not an easy feat we all know.

Weighed in this am for the second week and lost 5.5lbs. I was hoping for the first weeks 12.5 but the Dr was pretty excited so I guess I will be. I have worked out every night for 45-2hrs depending on the night and have already been gettign the Have you lost weight? comments. I bought the shakes mix today it seems so much more convient for rushing out the door. Any suggestions on how to make it taste decent? I have heard a few of my friends and others on here say that they cannot afford the $70.00 a week. I can tell you that between going to lunch a few times a week. Picking up fast food on the way to the office in teh AM. Or going to dinner once on teh weekend that I am probubly saving money doing this diet. It what you choose to give up for it that makes the difference. I have two small children in dipers and formula and did not know how I was going ot afford this, but with my husbands support and willingness to not eat out or fast food it has worked for me. It is all about sacrafice. I ordered the callinetics video of Amazon used and can't wait to try it this weekend. Gald everyone is doing good.

Hey everybody!

I am now only going to the clinic for weigh in every 2 weeks, but Friday is my regular weigh in day, so will update what my home scale says. I lost 6.6 pounds this week! My scale is usually within ounces of what Medi says, so I'll take it!

I've been doing this for six weeks now and it really does get easier and easier to not eat. I started drinking 5 quarts of water this week instead of 4 and that seems to help on the scale.

Have a great weekend!
