Second week, not so easy, I would either forget to eat or cheat when I felt hungry. I have not gained more weight, I have actually lost 2 more pounds but did cheat a lot and I guess the days that I fllowed the plan or just didn't eat is what has made me no gain the weight I had already lost. My biggest difficulty is the pills. I have no problem swallowing the lilttle yellow one, but when it comes to the fast burner 3x a day, the calcium, and vitamin it just kills me. The taste and size just make me so incredibly naseous and disgusted that you woulnd't believe. The consultant recommended I take the pills with a meal but it is still the same. I canceled my last week's appointment and have not made one for this week yet because I did not feel like I should spend that much money since I was cheating (fast food) and was not following the diet. I feel so dissapointted in myself and really don't know what to do. I feel like puking everytme I take the pills. I really want to lose weight, I am just grossed out of all meat and eggs at this point. Any suggestions? I know I am being negative but it is a very sick feeling to take those pills, but when i dont I get very hungry and end up eating things I am not supposed to.

Hi Romina,

I ran out of the fat burners about a month ago and didn't buy any more. I don't think you really need them. That has been my experience, anyway. Others' opinions may vary.

If they make you feel that lousy, quit taking them and see what happens.

I randomly take the fat burners and vitamins. Same thing they make me throw up. The only time I can take them is if I eat somethign substantial with them. I know how you feel about wanting to skip a week because I did it once. But don't the shots help tremendously and talking about it to the clinic will help. If you skip whose to say you wont keep skipping. Plus once your pissed at yourself for cheating and not losing and still paying you will get to it. This is what happened to me two weeks ago. I didn't loose anything and I was soo pissed at myself. So I buckled down and got results. I dont eat any more eggs I too am over them. I drink a protein shake for breakfast if I have any at all. I eat all my carbs at luch sometimes more than I should. I work out every afternoon and I eat a snack for dinner. I know your supposed to eat breakfast but I was sick of protein in the AM. I am not adding the fruit so I don't have alot of choices. I am getting ready for some more turkey bacon soon. I am not perfect on this diet I do cheat and rarely count the calories. But it is working for me. Find what is working for you. Also my stick hasent read Keotose in three weeks. But the Dr said I was burning fat so not to worry terribly about it. Either it is because I have cheated or because i work out so much it isnt showing. I like the second reason better so that is what I will tell myself. Keep going and set a goal to reach before you will miss an appointment. I have thirty six pounds to go and than I am going to start trying on my own because of the cost. I write down weekly goals, monthly goals, short term and long term for my weight/health. If im down I just look at them and a picture of myself before kids and marriage. The thought that only four years ago I was in a 12 and hot makes me realize its not that far away.

Have you thought about taking the pills one at a time throughout the day? I get nauseated also when I take a bunch at once.

I hate that you had the stomach bug - but that is an amazing weight loss! Great job! Keep up the good work - proud of you for working out...that is my biggest challenge right now.

Wow!! Congratulations! That's a big weight loss for your 4th week. Tomorrow is my second weigh in and according to my scale I'm not losing very much. I lost 6 pounds the first week and have stuck to this 100 percent. The last few days have been harder than I expected. As I wrote in an earlier post, I am not allowed to take the appetite suppressant because of a heart murmur. I really wish I could take it though. My clinic told me that it will be getting an all natural suppressant in the next week or so that I will be able to take. I think it's called Stay Slim?? Has anyone else heard of this? I can't wait to give it a try. I think it would definitely make this a little easier if I wasn't hungry.

I weighed myself alot last week (my first week). At one point it showed I was down to 187!!! Which is like 7 lbs down from the beginning of the week!!!!

...And then I kept weighing myself, and the numbers were up and down up and down. Which was proving to be very discouraging, as you can imagine.

My weigh in yesterday showed 188, and I was so incredibly disappointed. I realize it's one pound above the lowest weight I had shown at home, but I am greedy and wanted MORE.

So now I am trying not to weigh myself at all except for at the clinic to ease the disappointed (and neuroses). I'd encourage everyone to do the same hehe

Good luck tomorrow! Im sure the results will be great!

I haven't opened my bottle yet. Thinking about returning it...does it become useful as the weeks go on, anyone know?

I have never used the colon cleanser. Sorry for the confusion. It was not my fourth week, it was my fourth appointment. I don't want to confuse anyone that you could loose 35 lbs in four weeks. I think Ive been on the Medi weight loss program for appx six weeks total. But im still pretty excited with the results.

I know weighing at home can be discouraging but it does help me to keep on track and focus if I slip a bit one day. Makes me know that I have to be stricter the following day. I do try not to weigh everyday. I was pretty religous about the colon cleansers at first because I did not want to get constipated. I think without fiber its important to stay regular. So far no issues there so I was wondering what everyone else was doing.

Went for my 3rd weigh in today. I was a little disappointed. 1.8 lbs of fat lost this week. I had lost 7.2 lbs of fat the first week and 6.6 lbs of fat the 2nd week so to see 1.8 lbs of fat lost this week was kind of a letdown. All in all, I am down 17 lbs in 3 weeks with 15.6 lbs of fat lost in 3 weeks. I'm definetly hoping to see a bigger number next week.

Its like addicting after the first week of such a large loss. I know the feeling I went almost two weeks at a stand still than it dumped off again. So keep at it. Weighing yourself everyday is not going to help because you may get discouraged when you are up or cheat when your down. Waiting until your appointment may keep you honest and it is exciting like opening a present. Try a week without the scale you may be suprised.

First Weigh in and lost 6 pounds. Dr. said 75% was fat loss, which is a good thing, I guess? I was a little disappointed since it looks as though the norm is 8-10 pounds for the first week. I guess I could have made better MEAT choices??? I stuck with it and didn't cheat once. Oh well Get to start adding in veggies, so I am definitely going to take that slow, since the loss is less than normal. Any advice???

So I've got two questions:
 1. I work from home, and because of the appetite suppressants I have no appetite at all. This is resulting in me forgetting to eat. Does anyone have any suggestions for things that are convenient so I can eat regularly. Im so tired of being dizzy/nauseous
 2. Not related to the dizzy/nauseous issue, but still a question. Earlier, I had a new issue. Immediately after I urinated, I cramped up in the lower pelvic region--and now 30 minutes or so later, still feels cramped. What gives? Is it cuz I've upped my water big time, and I am just urinating more??? I did some searches, and it seems to be a UTI. Really??? Could it be??? I've never had one before!

Hello grfxgrl, I would suggest you plan snacks to eat. I had some dizzy & nausea as well, I put portion sizes of turkey sausage, turkey/chicken breast sliced or whatever meat I enjoyed into freezer bags and would take to the office and eat like jerky, picking at it so my blood sugar level remained even. One of my favorite snacks is crispy turkey bacon, crunching them and snacking on the pieces of chip bacon. Your symptoms will disappear once your body adjusted. Talk to your doctor to ensure you do not have a UTI, drinking your water and/or making lemonade (crystalite) for a flavored drink and maybe try the Carb wise yogurt that is allowed during week one. This plan requires preping, stock up and have available all the foods you can have and enjoy. I still must make myself eat so my day is always planned, mostly the same thing each day, keeps it simple for me and I am enjoying the habits I have created for myself. My new addiction is buying new clothes, fun, fun, fun. Hang in there, it will get easier. Good luck, do what the plan calls for and you will do fantastic.
I absolutely agree - I was a dizzy a lot longer than I thought I would be - it's been 8 weeks now and I just realized I have not felt that way for several weeks! It is all in the preparation!!!! That is the key. I bring cheesesticks - 50 calories everywhere with me and I make pepperoni chips out of turkey pepperoni (Hormel) - bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes. They are crispy just like a chip and I snack on them slowly throughout the day!
Good luck - all of this will pass. I feel better now than I have in years!!!

Would you mind telling me how Mediweight loss works and the cost? Also is it worth it for 20-25 lbs?

Medi?

I am reading this thread and seem to have lost the latest link.
Last post I see is Nov 08. THX

My questons is, How is this different from Atkins induction.
What I read is 1wk of extreme low cal/carb
and then add good carbs to continue with weight loss.

I am wondering what it is that is worth the $.
I read that the supplements are all over the counter stuff so
do most of you followers feel it is necessary to pay to see the nurse.

Again I am just reading this so pls my apology If I missing something.

Beth,

Our current thread is Magnificent March for Medi Weightloss Followers. There is also a newbie thread that is Welcome Newbies! Helpful info for week 1.. It may answer some of your questions.

The biggest difference I see between Atkins and Medi is Medi is extremely calorie limited... 500-700 protein calories per day. Also we stick to very low carbs even after the first week and only add 3 cups of vegetables or 1 fruit and 1 cup of vegetables. People tend to lose weight pretty fast on Medi due to the restrictions. The average person according to their website looses around 20 pounds in the first month. Check out their website at Medi-Weightloss Clinics® - Physician-supervised weight loss clinics. I hope this helps.
