OH MY GOD! WHO'S YOUR DADDY, WHOOO'S YOUR DADDY!!!!

Hi everybody. It's a beautiful bright, crisp 50 degree Spring morning and I'm going to walk 4 miles (magazined due at Hoboken Library)...I'm clearing out chores to leave the week free for Allentown. I just saw an even better house- but it's $77,000. Funny how the words "better" and "more" so often go together! I plan on seeing about 4 houses while I'm there (clipboard in hand)....more and I get bleary.

Show was beautifully acted and costumed by some beautiful and talented "kids" at Juliard- really professional. BUT the play was about court intrigue involving Shakespeare, Marlowe, Kid, Sir Walter Raleigh, a jillion spies, counter spies....an incomprehensible mish mash so we left after Act ONE...dinner was a CASOULET (good, but only a pretentiously gussied French bean stew- think kielbasa and beans with a few carrots and a few pieces of duck.)

I'm beginning to rethink the Saran I have on all my vents...humans do need SOME fresh air.

More later.

Here's Phonecia's very LAST flower for some time to come...lasted 2 weeks so far:

Roger

Mornin' y'all,

The flower beds are clean, the yard is cut, the dogs are shedding. Spring MUST be here! Upon wakeup at 9 this morning it was 70 degrees!!! Woohoo!

Zip, we'll be anxiously awaiting your reviews on the houses. You leave on Tuesday?

Susan, I'll email the pics to you quick....I know you're getting ready to vacate!

Shawnee, amazing what a little sunshine will do for ya! Hope the fungus got sunburned LOL! Bed's ready in the spare room....come on over...the kids will have a ball (literally!).

Shelly, tried to send you the pics, but it came back as undeliverable not sure what that's about, but I'll try to resend.

Linda, glad you're feeling better...now just knock it out and be back to normas!

Loretta, I know you're enjoying the spring like we are. Been playing outside?

Pam, surviving the shop? Avoiding flying objects? Check in....or we'll worry!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Good Evening All,

Had to forfeit my Toastmasters meeting tonight. Got too much stuff to do for the trip. 3 weeks I need everything but the proverbial Kitchen Sink. Trying to see what I dont need to take.....snow shovel comes to mind!

Zip: Wow, $77,000....x 1.60 = 123,000 Cdn....Yikes we had better be prepared for Retirement! Yep, we are all excited for you, in anticipation to "see" the new home! Family is good, a visit once in while keeps us balanced and intouch with our roots. Did I say that??? I never go home to the UK! DH goes every year! He is soccer crazy! He is going May 22nd till June 2nd again!

Ginny: Thank YOU So much for your pics, the fuscia ones caught my eye, we are so starved of colour up here! Thank you I feel honoured to receive them before I fly South. I can still pick up my email down there from DS's 'puter. I hope I can log-on to this site and keep in touch while I am away. I'll try the first day and if the password is incorrect. I will wait till they send me the correct one.

Linda; So glad that you managed some rest yesterday. More TLC is in order. Feet up in front of the TV, or curled up with a good book is just the ticket. Travelling all day tomorrow so probably wont make the BB till Wednesday or Thursday.

Waving to Shawnee, Loretta, Pam, and Shelly.

LMAO Who's your daddy? who's your daddy? who's your daddy? Shawnee, that was so darn funny I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Hope you are getting the painting done, well not it if was nice outside If that's the case, hopefully you and pup got to play.

Roger, That's the way it usually goes. You find one you like and a better but more expensive one comes along. 4 of then eh? Do you think you will make offers?
The casoulet sounds interesting. Duck might make the difference. I've made a bean and kielbasa concoction but it wasn't French. We called it Swamp Stew

Yeah, take that plastic wrap off the vents. It won't really help during a chemical/bio attack.

Ginny, My gosh you were busy with yard work, but all set for the planting season. When do you start planting flowers? Critters shedding is a sure indication of spring. I'm much better but still have a hacking cough. Oh well.

Susan, Why do you take so much on trips? I've finally learned to pack really light. LOL No you won't need the snow shovel. Lordy, I have the tv on while I'm in bed asleep. Just can't tear myself away from the war coverage.

Loretta, Any news on DGS yet? My heart goes out to you and your family.... Hopefully you have been outside enjoying the wonderful weather.

Pam, are you back yet? Please check in.

Shelly, My cousin in Garner said she has been sitting on her deck at night in only a light sweater. Boy am I jealous. Enjoy those 70 degree temps.

It got to almost 60 today and gerard started the lawn tractor. That old thing started right up even though it sat in the shed since Oct...I sat on the deck a bit enjoying the sun and looking at the dead stuff in my outdoor flower pots. We don't dare plant till May because of the chance of frost. Work tomorrow if I can force myself to go in. Ugh! Fed up is the word I'm looking for. Well at least the end of it is near. Praying they don't extend my contract. I might consider going back at the end of the summer, MAYBE.
Later.

Great News Loretta! Take it easy and have a great rest. Glad everything is okay!

Linda, the last trip we almost froze down there we did not take enough warm clothes, I kept wearing the same things. Now I am packing shorts, tees, some capris and fancier tops, one suit with a skirt, so not too much. Then there are shoes, sandles, running/walking shoes, slippers, swimsuits. The cases are full already. Yep, got two large ones. Oliver will be hand luggage in his aerated soft-sided bag.

So we are in for a long day tomorrow. Leaving here at 7a.m. flight is at 10a.m. but need to be at the airport 2 hours before an international flight. We change at Pittsburgh then on to Orlando arriving at 1644, so around 5p.m. A whole day gone! Hope I can nap in between my reading.

Happy house hunting Zip! DH loves the site for comparison cities, doesnt work for Canadian but he is punching in Rochester NY as they are close and then Melbourne, Cocoa Beach. He is having Fun! Thanks. Fabulous pic, I did not receive it the first posting, it is clear as a bell now! Gorgeous!

Whats with Who's Ya Daddy????? I have certainly missed something here!

Bye for now. I'll try to check in tomorrow night or Thursday when we are more settled.

Hi Y'all

Saturday I rec'd the April issue of SUNSET mag...I positively slobbered over the gorgeous pages of Cottage Garden pics.....

But today, we had a long stretch of non-rain,..no real sun, but dry...and I got to do some mowing and weeding... ...it was Heaven to do manual labor outside. ...and the whole neighborhood was a huge BUZZZZZZ of mowers running; we literally "made hay" while the sunless sun shone.

ZIP, no wonder you are infatuated with Phonecia...she's a living doll
MY GAWD, MAN...a simple wickedly-innocent funny certainly tied your funny-bone in a knot! ..who's your Daddy, indeed! LOL

Ginny, shall I pack Tennis Balls and homemade Doggie Cookies?
We haven't had actual SUNSHINE yet, but had a reprieve from rain today...until this evening...we will break our number of rainy days in March...the old record is 25 days...NO SWEAT on a new one. I looked thru some old Gardening journals I used to keep...I am about 3 weeks behind my usual outdoor activites, so will have to make up for lost time when Spring comes to the NW.

Loretta, sounds like you are happily exhausted from Family visit
Take care, rest up..glad you are just busy. I tried your Cranberry recipe tonight, using Blueberries...WOW..YUM...
(I added Cardamom, just for the hell of it..) Thanks.

Montana, better but hacking??? ..aren't you the FIRST one to tell us to go to the DOC? Promise you will if it doesn't go away pronto! You do not need an Emergency room visit.

Susan, if you PM me with your Email addy, I'll send you that silly audio joke that has ZIP so wound up.
Have a safe trip and wonderful vacation. Hope Oliver can do a lot of snoozing on the way, bless his little heart.

Tink, we're gonna start to worry SOON...where are you?

Shelly, what's going on in your warm wonderland?

;Shawnee
