First Friday of Spring
Good morning everybody...
Foggy at 7 AM, but 60°F. How delightful is that! Gotta find something FUN to do that doesn't involve the computer...4 hours fixing MS WORD was entirely TOO much dogwork- throw in another 2 hours on PRINTER SPOOLING and ....YECCCCH (and I'm STILL not sure the SPOOL is working correctly ...fingers crossed. If I escaped without needing the reformat- I'll die happy (well not soon, I hope.) Anyway, my fun event (whatever it is ) will be done alone since SO is a working fool thru the 31st at least! (What IS it about that day.) Wasn't that the day Christ was conceived as well....the Incarnation? That was the day Joseph was out of town...looking at property and Mary was lounging around the house bored: "Hey there Angel, you got a nice set of wings, care to set a spell?." Carol, Thanks for the nice Real Estate link. That will be VERY VERY helpful. Not sure of the appraisal but I know the asking price is "ballpark" ($54,900). Judging from the taxes it seems fairly assessed as well (even thoiugh the raw number is nonsensical because I think Jefferson was president during the last home assessment. Interest in Lorida is just my natural curiosity acting up- and the influence of this LONG HARD winter we've had....worst in my memory (and I'm unencumbered by old Al Z. [the one and only Mr. Heimer]) Loretta, Got your PM and replied. So sorry about that high priced ticket, and I think you're kidding yourself about escaping car insurance hike....with these modern computers, the Insurance companies know EVERYTHING: aha, you're the lady who speeds with the mole on her right buttock.[ ]TGIF to all....a nice weekend. Off with the computer...<plink> Last edited by zip2play : 03-21-2003 at 06:06 AM. |

Good Morning Zip and our Magnificient Maintainers!
We have similar weather to you Zip this morning! It is a pleasure to have the damp wash away the sneux. I can see parts of my deck, the pathway for Oliver is completely down to the wood now. Yep, definite sign of Spring! You sound in a wonderful mood today. I hope you find something FUN to do! Let us know so we can have a virtual Fun Day! TGIF!Having lunch with a couple of colleagues from work. Vegetarian, so I hope I select well. BTW, how much sugar count is in red-wine? I am sure this is why I have stalled. I cannot think what else I have that has high carbs?.....only carbs I eat are veggies and nuts, the latter which I limit drastically. I know there are carbs in my morning sausage but I only have 2 or 3 small links. I have gotten used to the red-wine at bedtime to relax me, better cap that one for now I think! I think I am having about 25 carbs a day before the wine!Off to hit the shower, have several cups of tea in me now, can start my day Hope to be back later to catch up on everyone! Susan, 122lbs today 3lbs to original maintenance goal! |

Hi to all
Sun trying to peak out and chase that rain away. The yard work is calling me too but I think I will wait for it to dry up some. Will do inside work today. Zip I sure would like to see a pic of that house. I wonder why the multiple listing number did not work. Actually I did not see a place to enter the number. Hope the weather cooperates so you can visit it in person next week. Susan the sugar in the wine probably depends on what you are drinking. I have had my usual glass of wine since I started lc and it did not keep me from losing. It took me a while to lose but I was not in a hurry and wanted to be able to live with my woe forever (or death) What kind of nuts are you eating? Are they natural? I was eating those canned nuts and had to quit them completely. After I did I lost about another 3 pounds. Enjoy that lunch with the vegans. Linda glad you slept in this morning. You need your rest, most important to getting well. Did you find your DS to deliver that card? Thanks for telling me about checking on the SENT messages. I had a bunch in there. No retail therapy today? I picked up a corned beef for when DS is here. We are going out one night and the other I will cook. He is not coming our way until Sunday. This evening he is off to see his brother and his family. The ones we visited last Sunday. Shelly how nice to run into someone you used to know when you were a different size. They most likely could not believe their eyes at first. You must have looked a lot older then too. WTG improving with age. One of my friends says that I look the best that I ever have at this later age of my life. Love those compliments. Ginny if I could only get my foot to cooperate I would travel 3 miles over too. I have been overdue for that dreaded reminder. I feel like I am crawling sometime going at the speed limit. I have been behind so many going 45 mph in a 55 mph zone I want to ask if I can use those times as make up LOL. Not sure if the judge will even let me take that class. I will be begging for mercy on April 14. Shawnee I love shopping early in the morning. I wish more places would open earlier. About 7 or 8 would be nice. The mall here does not open until 10 am, golly that is about 2 hours too late for me. I like avoiding the crowds and getting back home before DH gets out of bed. I have not heard from photo island either. No news is good news. We did not hear from DGS after he left the base. I am not even sure when he left the base. He did say they were going to Iraq but has not had a chance to write I’m sure. Hi Tink will you be with those brides and grooms again this weekend? Hope you run into some nice ones for a change. Hey gang!
Well, I got the pics back today, and altho they didn't turn out great, they did turn out so you can see what was going on LOL! This weekend, or maybe tonight after work I'll get them scanned in and give y'all a look-see. I have alot to get in the 'puter for our own records of bloom pics too. Will try to do it in one fell swoop. My PI account is waaaay over limit from back when they allotted us 50mb storage space. I haven't heard anything from them yet. Any new ideas on free photo hosting? Either that or I'll need to set up another PI account. Shawnee, at least you'll have time to get all that painting done before the pretty weather hits and you get tempted to postpone it. Then you'll have a clear conscience while you play outside! Has Pup been helping you with it? Shelly, yep, nows the time to see who survived the winter in the flowerbeds. We get to start yard work this weekend providing the weather cooperates. Flower beds need cleaned out, and yard needs cut (notice I don't say grass....it's mostly weeds, but they're green LOL). A wonderful thing is Preen N Green but only use that on established plants as it won't let seeds germinate (that's how it controls weeds). We use it on the daylily beds and they grow just fine as well as we don't have much weeding to do. Zip, so when will you leave to check out that house? We wanna know all about it and what you decide. Does your sister have a computer so you can keep us posted while you're away? Linda, glad you finally got a good night's rest! Yucky on the freezing rain--you stay in now, y'hear? Hope to see you feeling back to normal really soon, with NO relapses allowed! Loretta, very sad on the accident...such a shame to hear about things like that. We have a deceptively bad corner not a quarter mile from the house that people try to straighten periodically. Been a few bad wrecks there, one a motorcycyle (going way too fast) last summer. Cooler and cloudy today, have to check the forecast and see what additional gear I need for work! Pam, gearing up for a weekend at the funny farm? Hope they treat you WELL this go 'round! Susan, I know you're excited about FL! Hope the waxing is pain free for ya, I know I'd chicken out! Well, gang, time for work. Have a wonderful day, and Happy Spring!

Hi everyone,
I'm finally getting on line. Last night was the best sleep I've had in a week. Ginny, Your pictures are going to be such a treat to see. Hopefully PI won't start charging us like one gal on the playground said. Loretta, Yes I found my son and gave him the card. HIs phone was supposed to be hooked up in his new place last week but still hasn't been. My goodness you get a lot of company. Enjoy the corned beef and visit from DS. My thoughts are with your DGS.Hopefully this war will be over by the time he gets there. Susan, Livingston Cellars Chablis and Merlot are very low carb. I've been drinking them since I started low carb too. Hope the lunch was good. What did you end up having? Roger, Take a well needed break from the computer. I did today and it felt great! So when do you leave to see the house? I have a link someplace that compares cost of living and such. If I can find it, I'll post. Hopefully you enjoyed this beautiful weather today. edited to add link http://www.bestplaces.net/html/cost_of_living.html Shelly, Are you going to post pictures of your flowers? We love looking at pictures. Shawnee, How is the painting coming along? Did you get any paw prints on the wet paint yet? I would love to see your real estate link if you have a chance to post or e mail it. Off to catch up on things. |

Hi Y'all
Things are looking up; we've been promised a few scattered SUNBREAKS over the week-end, and real sun on Monday, before the rain takes over again...I plan on some yard time, even tho it will be soppy out there. ![]() Geez, ZIP...You must be getting tired of 'puter mechanicking by now, and probably seeing double to boot! Hope you found something FUN to do....gotta be lots of choices in the City. Trust me on this, NO one can be more sick of this Winter crap than me...I WANNA BE OUTSIDE ! Susan, you sound all perky today...how was lunch? Bet you have visions of sandy beaches on the brain.. ![]() Loretta, yup, I'm still at it, painting and repairing...things that were put off too long are rearing their ugly heads.. ripping off wallpaper is on the agenda too....My DH goes to Walmart at 7 AM, he REALLY hates crowds. Hope you hear from DGS soon. Goddess..glad ya got some decent pics, we'll all be tickled to see em. You might try Boomspeed.com for an alternative pic site. Pup and Cat have been running in and out toooo much, I spend all my time wiping them down and cleaning feet...of course, you wouldn't know a thing about that.. ..we have some great MUD here, could be used for brown glue. They have both been most helpful with the painting, have to inspect every inch...dry or not!Montana, GOOD for you, getting some rest. I am mad at myself : DGD called today, going shopping. I begged off cause I had a hell of a mess going on in the house...shoulda left it "as is" and gone with her.. Next time, I'm going "as is"..LOLShucks, I no longer have the link to the real estate thingy...and I've deleted my SENT messages..I found out tons of info by searching "real estate" and "home buying". Maybe ZIP still has the addy. Shelly, Tink and Dragon, hope all's well with you. Shawnee |
