I hesitate to rave about JUDDD, but it does appear to work for many people whichever way they choose to eat. We we have folks following LC, Primal, Paleo, Vegetarian, Raw Vegetarian and Vegan. And some of us eat anything, lol.
Nothing works for everyone of course, and JUDDD requires commitment along with all ways of eating. |

The thing about JUDDD is the low days seem very low.
My goal is to eat as normally as possible and maintain. It is dropping pounds that requires some planning. I often do meat/egg fast for a few days. For around 2 years I seem stuck at 122. This isn't a bad weight but I prefer under 120. Now I am 121. You think I could lose a pound or two easily. Not so. I am short. I am menopausal and I don't lose unless I shake things up. I struggle on work days when I don't get breaks. I often only eat a granola or protein bar if I am lucky and then come home and over eat. Work has been crazy. I need to eat what I can get in quickly. |

Debbie, how about switching those protein bars for a hard boiled egg or some fruit. Try to eliminate those processed foods. Eat more frequently so you don't go home in a famish. Divide that orange up into quarters.

Are you a nurse Deb? I did ER several years and some acute care work at our local hospital. ER was so very unpredictable. I retired in 2001, but I always liked my nursing career.

TBipp how tall are you? Congrats on the new low.
Yes, I am a nurse. I have 10 more years of work I guess. I need a less stressful job but I like the pay I get and the ability to make my own schedule vs. A Monday-Friday job. I am 55. I won't be working forever. I only work 24-28 hours most weeks but they are never easy. I work today. I barely get a break most days. I think my current maintenance is stress at work related and just eating less. 120.8 today so lost a little. I am not trying. I would like to be under 120 but 122 is my magic number. If I stay there I am fine too. I just prefer under 120. 122 seems to be a place I get stuck at so being under for a few weeks is good. Happy Friday and happy maintaining! |

I think the ER is misused. Dr's tell there patients to go there instead of seeing them. Many use it because they don't have insurance. People get into fender benders and then come to the ER so they can claim pain and suffering. I could go on and on.
I only work 8 hours today. It is the 12s I need to stop working. I do one 12 most weeks. Do any of you use almond milk. I like it. I only use it on cereal. Yes, I eat cereal. No carb cutting here. I think mostly in amounts of food. I am lazy lately and just don't feel like eggs in the morning. I even bought more eggs, spinach and tomato for omelets yet I haven't felt like eating them. Maybe for dinner tonight as I am alone till hubby gets back late late tonight. |

Your schedule sure makes it a challenge. I now work from home so I am pretty regimented and know what breakfast will be (I rotate 3 different ones), can cook a fun lunch or heat up leftovers and then dinner has been very light (that is my secret weapon). When I was overeating at dinner, I had trouble staying at 120. And, I had trouble staying at 120 if I indulged in low carb goodies (I have a sweet tooth and enjoy baking) or went out for pizza one night. Now, those events have little impact. ![]() |

My favorite breakfast for many months was a premade chocolate shake I bought from Costco. My supermarket carries it also but only in 4 packs. It is Premium brand and I added in 1-2 Tbsp. flax. I was not an egg person when I started low carbing but I now have them every morning. For the Summer, I loved the cold shake as it was too warm for eggs and I did not have the recipes and knowledge to create other breakfasts that appealed to me (see below). My breakfast now rotates between cinnamon omelet, low carb German Pancake and Jen Eloff's microwave English muffin which I split and toast and use half topped with a buttery poached egg and the other half has either almond butter or coconut oil and sugar free preserves. Occasionally on Sundays, I will make low carb crepes, which I love. ![]() |

Good strategy! After reading the JUDDD book and some articles on intermittent fasting, I learned (gasp!) I won't collapse or die if I am a little bit hungry and that I can go without food for awhile without detrimental effects. Of course, getting preoccupied with something else helps! Being low carb helps as the hunger is not associated with terrible side symptoms like grouchiness and fatigue. |

I agree, one of my favourite JUDDD sayings is "Hunger is not an emergency."
Up late this morning, panic to get to the gym for my Zumba class so no weigh in. I'll claim yesterdays. 122.6 |

Whelp ... sitting at 179 which is high for me. But with back to back to back business trips this past 6 weeks, I'm not surprised that it seems to have settled here rather than 175.
So, till to get back to my crunch mode OWL plan to squeeze out those 4 pounds and some. |

117.2 Much easier to maintain by skipping dinner once in awhile or having a small snack instead.
Allowed me to enjoy pizza with Mom and sisters on Monday (we do this once every quarter), including alcohol and shared dessert. It was less stressful knowing that I could thoroughly enjoy the meal and not be struggling all week to get back to my preferred weight. ![]() |
